I'm sure, he isn't afraid at all. Considering, that the bowl is neither full, nor empty, I guess the owner does it like me and always refills the bowl, so the dog can decide on his own, when to eat and how much. When dogs know, that there is always food 24/7, they learn, to not care the slightest little bit about who or what touches their bowl. The dog probably found it weird, that the monitor nibbled on it but didn't care.

We used to do that with our cats. Dry kibbles 24/7. However mine started to gorge his guts out and get sick. Never understood why as again there was food all the time. He didn’t get overweight but kept getting sick.

@@Jazzatic2011 I think it might just be a personality quirk, one of ours does that. He does his level best to eat each wet pouch in a single motion, and then dutifully yodel it over the nearest soft furnishing. Get him a raised bowl/angled bowl. It slows them down.

Awww❣️ Thanks for showing us how adorable reptiles can be, too. I love you let your kid roam around the house- that’s how you get to see their personalities. So funny when doggy sibling came in a little worried food might be taken😆.

I'm glad you let him roam around the house. I had iguanas growing up and they were never kept in a cage... free range, and even among cats! Cats and dogs can grow accustomed to all sorts of animals. Reptiles REALLY love the outdoors though, soaking in natural sunlight. You should make a little fenced in area in your yard where he can walk around on grass and among the trees. I bet he would really love it!

...and I mean outdoors only for playtime, otherwise living outdoors constantly in a non-natural habitat can be bad for them, temperature and pest wise.

Your green dog seems low on battery, he needs to be recharged with sunlight...
