In all honesty, the runner was safe, big cats like the mountain lion are timid and usually avoid confrontation, so it was simply hiding, it's what they do best, when you go for a walk in the woods where these cats live, they may be watching you at all times and you'll never know.

How refreshing to see some new animal clips with no stupid commentary or unnecessary music! Big thumbs up!

That was an Australian magpie (aka Cracticus tibicen), just grabbing some food (the wolf spider) to take home to the kiddies :) Our magpies here in AU are quite formidable scavengers. I came to the realisation that most people dont fear crocodiles as much as other animals. I am terrified of the idea that something is under water patiently waiting for you to step in. I dont understand people who feel so secure in the wild without any weapons, especially in water. If I knew that there are crocs where I live, I would doublecheck the bath tub before jumping in.

Problem is, crocs are ambush predators. You don't see them 'till they grab you, and then you're either incredibly lucky or done for. Not much a weapon could do when a croc death rolls...
