Not only does she seem to be an animal hoarder, there is no way she is spending the appropriate time with ALL her pets each day, so that means a lot of them are just ornaments.

My aunt had a pet skunk and that's how she treated it as well. She said it was the perfect combination of a cat and a dog. Sadly, the little fella died of old age. She said she would love to have another one and that it was one of the best pets she'd ever had.

I always had a bad feeling about him but thought maybe I was just being judgmental. I have my own experience with Narcissistic people and once you deal with one it's way easier to see one before you are in too deep. I'm so glad you are much better and hope the best for you.

Doves are less available than chickens. Plus, most people would keep the fertile eggs and then just give the newly hatched chicks to an egg farm/keep them (for chickens)

Seconding this. On top of it just being the most efficient way of things, some birds will even eat their own eggs! It can be a real problem with chickens. If they start eating eggs, you have to separate them. Their own shells are a great calcium supplement, but you have to make sure they're unrecognizable if you're gonna feed them back to your birds.

You’re not alone, Em! I also really hate human chewing noises, but animals chewing is just so adorable! Usually when I go feed the cats I will stay there and just listen to them eating their food. It just so adorable ❤️

I mostly love when kitten chew and they gp nom nom nom like doing tiny meows while they eat. So cute!

Fun fact: (Grinchy eating reminded me of this) NASA was going to send birds to space back when they tested with animals, but they quickly learned that they could not, because birds need gravity to swallow! I just thought that was interesting!

I have EXTREME misophonia but it also doesn't bother me when it's an animal. It's cuter!

kinda_stupid_not_ngl Basically it’s when certain sounds bother you like dripping water, chewing, snapping gum, or repetitive noises, such as pencil tapping. It’s more often chewing that people refer to when they talk about having it. It can cause anything from irritability to anger or even panic. It sometimes makes school hard as those certain noises distract you from your work and irritate you making it hard to work at school. I actually might have it as random repetitive noises while i’m working in silence drive me nuts! Writing of pencils/pens, breathing, tapping, chewing, eating, crunching, ect (only things that are fine for me is what i’m doing and noises I want, any noise I don’t want is what gets me meaning music playing in the background is fine for me). People chewing loudly and openly annoys me, though something odd is a lot of people who have it and hate human eating noises either like or don’t mind animals eating noises!

How has it been so far? I'm planning on majoring in biology so I can hit all the prerequisites for vet school. I love science... but, man is it difficult to major in. I actually wanted to be a vet for my whole life and am having almost the opposite problem as you. My parents know my dream is to become a practicing vet and support me massively... but, this puts a lot of pressure on me because I now feel like that is the only path that I can take. Recently, I haven't been doing very well in school for various reasons and this is causing me to doubt myself. If there is one thought that has entered my head more than any other, it would be "what if I can't do it?" Put me in a deep, dark whole last year and talking to my parents didn't help because all they had to say was, "I know you can!" This just made the pressure all the more overwhelming and I had way too many breakdowns than I'd like to admit. Thoughts?

you put so much time and effort to give your animals the best lives, and I really admire that. I’ve seen other youtubers who get animals for views, but don’t properly take care of them. So I really appreciate your work, just thought I’d say it out as you deserve recognition for the work you put into your animals lives lmao.

Sounds like Grinchy the hornbill knew what was up with her yucky ex long before she did. I'm glad she got out safe and seems to be thriving. I always watch how my dog reacts to strangers and new people - she hasn't been wrong yet. Animals see instantly through the masks we put up.

5:10 I like the idea of having a bungee toy hanging in the cage, so when you’re not there, the ferrets will not be bored. Or they have another play option

I love watching Grinchy and his journey. You've done amazing with rehabilitation of a fascinating bird and it honestly makes me happy whenever I see him because he just gets more vocal and overall healthy looking. Of course I love the others, but I love watching a sickly animal getting so happy even more.

I was thinking the same thing, especially since her rodents are wet, the bedding sticks to it more.

I don’t believe so. As it is not grainy, or something like sand, it is more digestible. I personally flip my ball python’s hide over and feed her in there after using a bag in water to warm her rats. She doesn’t like her rats wet and it prevents dirt from getting in her system

This is not a bad thing, but I can really tell you work as a zoological educator because of the way you talk and use your hands XD Also the fresh animal food looked so good apart from the worms...XD

Feeding the doves eggs to me is like feeding the rats to snakes. Its what they eat and its healthy and no waste at the same time !

I’m so amazed on how far Grinchi’s came! He’s so cute with his fluffy feathers he didn’t have when you got him first! I love the way he eats, it’s cute and funny!

Coming back to this old video after your life update this is crazy. I can’t believe you were stressed and he was awful. Goes to show there’s always things going on behind the camera.

I remember one of your videos popping up in my recommended a while back. it was the "all my pets in one video" one. and I avoided it because I saw in the thumbnail you had a pet Kookaburra. as an Aussie, i know how intelligent they are, and how they often suffer in captivity. I finally decided to watch one of your videos, this one actually, and i was pleasantly surprised. it's really rare to see someone keep a Kookaburra that well. Keep doing an Amazing job, you just gained a Sub!

Beautiful Gudrun Your comment is so warming. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and come to your conclusion. I don’t endorse them as pets at all and I hesitate to call him a pet. He’s a colleague and we work together every day. He’s not some impulse buy I use for views. I have a very good relationship with his breeder and we waited 3 years for the right fledgling. He’s so loved xxx

I've actually watched this vid several times now just because i enjoy it so much and every time i find myself getting so emotional when i see the difference between rescue day one for grinchy and how he looks in this vid - so healthy and lively compared to back then!

You are awesome!! I watch your videos with my 4 year old and now she loves every spider and every bug she finds. She loves everything and tells me ever animal loves her. They are family now. Every bug and animal she loves them and is going to make them a home. The love you show your animals is amazing and my daughter can see how much you care for them and now she cares for every living thing can't even swat a fly or take a spider out of my house because they are her pets. Please more videos because my daughter loves watching how you handle and care for your animals and insects.

@@sydhammond798 Its a stabilization feature that happens naturally to keep the head steady while the body moves. Basically to help with vision and such. (Dont quote me on that last sentence though 😅)
