Hi guys, first off thank you so much for watching this video. Please read the description before asking questions as they may be answered there! ALSO. Filtration media is what controls the cycle starting over, not the old water. I created that issue in my head somehow - I realized that after a few comment I got it mixed up recently somehow. I absolutely understood that the filter held the media and that’s why I mentioned the crucial reason I didn’t clean it during the move.. but I somehow also got the idea that adding too much new water would be too hard on the filter to keep the bad bacteria under control, and that the water that had already been filtered and in the tank previously would help maintain the cycle. So basically - bring your old water if you don’t wanna make new water, but otherwise you don’t have to worry about it affecting your cycle! ----- I'm wanting to start a new chapter with my channel soon where I upgrade my entire animal room. If any of you guys have had custom built cages, or own cages that you found somewhere that isn't super known to the public - feel free to comment them and share them with me. I'm on the hunt for the best places to get cages for the rebuild. I plan to upgrade the entire room. New vision cages, new display enclosures, everything. So anything ANY of y'all have to recommend I'll appreciate! I want to start new now that I have the space. It won't be immediate due to the fact that I need to save up some money for it, but it's something I wanna start searching up on ASAP.Thank you!!! Love, Taylor ❤️

Damn as a former heroin addict (and after watching her other vids) you can really, really hear it in her voice. I can damn near tell which cuts in the vid she was shooting up in between because her voice would switch from normalish to low and raspy, lightly slurred. She's good at hiding it , but I am too, so I've always been able to see through that on people

When I moved my axolotl i put Indian almond leaves in the tank... before and after the move it help her out so much and it helped the tank cycle a little faster :) or at least for me

Careful! Indian almond leaves make the water softer and acidic, great for bettas and many other tropical fish. However axolotls like neutral to slightly alkaline water (pH 7 - 7.6) and medium to slightly hard water. If your tap water is below these parameters, adding Indian Almond leaves or other high tannin botanicals can cause a drop in pH and TDS , leading to acidosis and burnt gills. ( Symptoms are excessive air gulps, restlessness, tail curls, discolouration and surface floating).

Can you do another “feeding all my animals” videos or something like that cause I miss those

I know it three times that she has named the wrong animal species when showing her pets🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ And somehow some mysteriously come up "missing". She's lost countless amount of Animals also. She are teaching the wrong things for upcoming animal keepers!* and plus she moves like 6 times a year which puts the animals through a ton of stress. She is toxic

Vincent Chau unless your pet is easily accessible, like, in the same room as you, you really should worry about your own safety first and get out of the building and let the fire fighters worry about saving your pets, especially if you have as many as her. I know its terrible to think about that but it is important basic fire safety.

Reed A I know you should get to safety first, but some pets have a certain bond, like my pets I love even more than my parent (yes i know I’m cruel) so pet owners have certain bonds and uncontrollable love which could shock them in fear by trying to save their pets instead of your life (let you know, my opinion)

Vincent Chau no, I don't think that's cruel at all, I think you have a very sweet heart! And I totally understand where you're coming from too, I sleep with my dog/cat/tarantula in my room so if there is an emergency I can slip them through the window (I live on ground level) then grab my spiders tank and follow them out. It is very good and important to have a contingency plan for sure, ur 100% correct on that, but I was saying in a case like Taylors here who has like, 20 pets or so (??maybe more??) most of which being tank animals who can't even survive with their equipment, it's just not always possible to get all of them out safely :(. Think of her salt water tank, alone. That thing is massive there is no plausible way to get them out unfortunately 😢. Edit: also your response is incomplete here but I saw the whole thing in my notifications, also I saw the heart Taylor gave you, what the heck is happening here lol

So proud of you girl. You are a fighter fo sho. Love the vid! Little tip from an old aquarist: the water column actually supports next to nothing when it comes to beneficial bacteria. Surfaces are your friends when it comes to a cycled tank. The more surface area the more bacteria it can host (why a lot of media is super pourus). So the water isn't so important as all her decorations and stuff you brought along. Thanks again for continuing to bring us a long in tour journey! Love your content 😊

Jess Logan thank you for kindly correcting my mistake! I understood the importance of filtration media being brought over, and the hosting area for the good bacteria you discussed (kept the plants damp in the bag but not soaked, so I knew I was potentially killing off some of it during the move) but somehow also in my head created the factor that bringing the old water would help additionally. Idk how I created that theory up in my head but I’m happy to correct it going forward and appreciate those who have helped others in the comment section by correcting me in a nice way! Thank you for supporting my content, I appreciate it endlessly ❤️

This is hard to watch but now when I look closer I can see the differences and the scars and bruises. You go girl in your recovery and I hope u can completely fight ur addiction. I can’t relate completely but I’m addicted to cigarettes so Ik how hard it is to get off of something and how when u try, ur in pain and u get sick. I hope u stay sober because I’ve watched u for so long since your first hedgehog (rip) and I love your animals. So stay strong beautiful! Everything happens for a reason and maybe this experience was meant to show u your worth and strength and make u stronger as a person.

If your axolotl is having ammonia problems, I would recommend getting a canister with a spray bar (to reduce flow), since there is no substrate there is probably not enough surface area for bacteria, so a bigger filter should solve the problem

enzo almeida da silva I can easily add substrate back but I was under the impression when dealing with her skin getting better, that the less places bad bacteria can get trapped the better (aka no substrate for now). Spray bar does sound like a good idea, I have an old canister filter that has one - I could bring that one back to life or grab an all new one. Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll definitely look into this

definitely a good idea to overfilter the sh*t out of an axolotl tank. literally. lol. HOW ARE THEY SO POOPY?!?! i've stuck with bare bottom for ease of cleaning but i have a piece of wood and a porous flat rock that hold bacteria plus provide enrichment. i also have enough filter media for a 60 gal running in a 20 gal haha.

I learned something and was entertained....... 🙌🏼 YAY!... and stuff.
