@@Cinito666 test what issue, the graphics card issue? If you're using adobe products, what you can do is try rendering a project where you have a lot going on, scaling, colour grade, luts, warp, and from one format to the other, if your GPU never kicks in more than 10%, there is a problem. You might need to turn on your GPU settings from Nvidia control panel, under global settings, choose GPU performance or something similar, basically saying that the GPU is always the main renderer. hope this helps! :)

Yeah man tough luck i feel your pain. Every major computer company will have a bunch of lemons amongst the hundreds of perfectly good machines. This applies to Razer, Dell, Apple ... all of them as they all come with only the standard 1 year warranty meaning NONE of them stand by their products more than usual. Your next machine could be the Dell XPS and have different problems. Lets hope it doesn't come to that. One thing i have heard is Dell has the best customer support. But their machines also come with 1 yr warranty so it all comes down to luck. If you want suggestion for another laptop I am trying to decide between the Razer Blade 15 and Alienware m15 with OLED display (they've just introduced OLED to gaming laptops so im worried and hoping I wont get any lemons). In any case i will be sure to purchase extended 3 yr warranty cos the last thing i want is my machine breaking down after 12 months.

@@medved4030 in EU there's a 2 years warranty for electronic products. But refunds and support still are fully dependent on the seller or producer (depending on the purchase type), which is frustrating at best.

Thanks for making this video. I made the mistake of buying a 2016 razor blade stealth 4K touch display model and it was a living nightmare from the beginning. It was shipped with a power cord that was already on recall, and it broke 2 weeks later. Took 5 weeks total to get the new charger. Within the next year I had to ship the blade stealth back to have the motherboard replaced twice which left me without a laptop for a couple months each time. The second time it was returned to me it came back to me still broken. So back it went and this time I got offered a new laptop. 2 months later I got a replacement finally. So in the two years I had it, about 5 or 6 months it was in transit or with razer service. Plus all the frustrating conversations with customer support every time it needed to be fixed. I have ptsd worrying about the next time it’s gonna stop working. I can’t deal with another condescending customer service experience that will take at least three separate calls to finally convince them a software patch won’t fix my issue since the laptop won’t even power on.

@@iloveass2289 Dead pixels, vertical lines (The issue was most likely caused by a cheap plastic hinge that through normal use could have damaged the ribbon cable. The new laptops have more reinforcement in their design and are much sturdier.), and battery expansion. Luckily Microsoft Complete allowed me to essentially lease these laptops and get discounted upgrades that I could then purchase a new Complete warranty on. In the end, I had top of the line laptops for a number of years because I would just upgrade when I had an issue. The only annoying thing was trying to transfer data over between devices. I used Macrium Reflect which is a free backup manager that seemed to work fairly well. Overall, the laptop I have now is much better than the one I started out with several years ago, and despite the annoyances, I am happy where I ended up. TL;DR Just buy Microsoft Complete...

This is such a lie. I had to return my Razer Phone 2 and honestly had no issues. They are fast, courteous, and even gave me a free screen protector. Latest survey only puts Razer to Apple in customer service according to Laptop Mag. Not sure what you are basing things on... I have Blade 15 not a single issue. I did buy from Microsoft, I don't trust a UPS guy with a $2300.00 machine.

Around November I bought the Dell XPS 15 on black Friday. I had almost the same experience with the blue screen and felt it was used before. Only difference was that it took them a whole 2 months. Not that they weren't replying but everytime they would say wait about 5working days. In my opinion I'd say don't buy from the manufacturer websites, instead buy from physical stores so you can just drive there and ask for a replacement, I'm sure they would do it much faster, also have seen people experiencing these type of issues a lot less when they buy in store

This guy is being really negative, and based on one bad unit and a 3 week RMA which is standard with a firm that is not Amazon or Microsoft he expects them to hand deliver the money the next day based on returning it. And just solely based on that customer service hes decided to go with a completely different laptop, he lacks knowledge.

You made a right choice dude. Just return it AT ALL then leave Razer and try another brand. Because if you continue with that Blade 15 here's what's gonna happen: after 1 year or 13 months of use at just the moment your warranty expires, you battery gonna be swollen like a huge SpongeBob that block your touchpad, your back cover screws and everything around it. Also the back cover will be pushed up and could never be closed again. This is what happened to my Blade 15 2018 and not just me. I've discussed this issue in many laptop forums and they said it's because of the high temperature due to long time using, especially for a metal case, an imperfection of thermal design and the battery quality. I already removed my battery because I'm afraid it might blow me up someday. What should I expect? You're making a gaming laptop not a samsung note 7.

@@vky4434 - Dell quality is really good, But honestly i think their laptops are little bit overweight compared with other manufacturers, but this is not the case with the XPS or the m15/17 lineup, they are thin, light weight and they now have engineered the power distribution stuffs so that the GPU and the CPU will maintain their high clock speed for extended time, this should improve the performance. And if you check their site they are offering 240 watt charging brick and an alienware bag pack at no additional cost. DELL's service is definitely better than that of Razer's. And Razer's change in 2019 - Apart from the display refresh rate and addition of Windows hello, i do not think anything significant change is made. Their's build quality is good, but if you are out of luck you might end up telling a story like this.

Damn I ordered my blade 15, 3 days ago wish I had seen your video earlier. Update: got my laptop today after setting up the laptop I installed and opened my favourite game and when in game the voices and sounds were crackling like crazy even with headphones on. I tried changing and tweaking some settings but that didn’t help so I decided to chat with razer support while I was chatting with them something extraordinary happened, so for a brief moment I saw this error message saying there’s a power surge on a USB port and the screen suddenly went black and there was a burning smell coming out of the fans and the laptop got very hot and fans went crazy. I had to restart it manually and after restarting it the laptop is acting normal so far. I’ve contacted the support regarding this new occurrence and they escalated my case and will contact me in 24-48 hours. My laptop is the 512/1060/16 advanced model. I’m not sure if I’m being extremely unlucky.

Upon picking the laptop up, the screen was still flickering and they sent me a replacement which the whole process ended up taking 1.5 months. Even the replacement after "quality control" has THE SAME ISSUE, they have hands down the worst customer service and I'm definitely demanding for an upgrade or a refund and just buying a dell XPS 15. Dude, i was about to buy the Razer 15” when it came out. After watching a bunch of reviews with people asking for unit replacements i decided to NOT get one. These issues have been around since the 14” model. I thought that with a bigger chassis on the 15” it would resolve these problems. It all comes down to the heat these laptops produce that cause the motherboard or CPU to fail. I decided to get the Macbook Pro Vega 20 instead. I’ve had MBP laptops before and never had an issue with them. Even if i am paying more, my mental stability is worth more than saving money and getting a laptop that will destroy it. Eventually you end up spending more money on a Razer and fixing it than on a Macbook Pro that will work as expected from the get go. It seems like i made the right choice.

@@scarified260893 i've considered getting a thinkpad or an XPS but I've read so many stories about poor quality with the X1 line. On reddit and on the lenovo forums I've read that people are getting 3-4 hours of battery life. there's numerous QC issues. Customer support is bad and they're slow to ship replacement parts. I'm in need of a high end laptop and I'm waiting for reviews of the new Dell 7950 and the X1 Extreme Gen 2. it seems like the XPS line has had the same issues generation after generation and the X1 carbon is more reliable than the X1 extreme. I know a lot of people don't like Apple's current products, but I've been using the 2015 MBP and my only problem is that I wish that I had bought a more powerful version. I still get 6 hours of battery life, the standby time is amazing, and the keyboard unlike the 2016 refresh is still great. If those windows laptops that I mentioned don't bode well then I might either wait for the new MBP in 2020 or the surface book 3. I'd rather not because they have 0 self serviceability, but the sheer amount of posts on reddit and on Dell and Lenovo forums that I see about issues with their flagship devices and misleading stats makes me very hesistant. These are expensive machines and for the price you pay we shouldn't be experiencing these issues. Especially in the QC area. Imagine buying a new car and the finish is scratched or there's and few dents.

After some months, many people had the similar issue and eventually Apple came up with a progam to replace the affected motherboards for free. Dude I feel for you, I had the same thing with Alienware with my area 51. I was getting it crash a lot, having the CPU sat at 85c at idle, the fans hit 100% for no reason and no way to stop it and had the keyboard lighting turn off and wouldn't turn back on, even after resetting the laptop. After this I contacted Alienware who told me I should go back to where I got it from. So I went there and gave the laptop back, In this time they made me wait for 3 weeks while they fucked around with things. The only thing I got was "well if you buy another laptop we can refund this one and you wont need to wait" I said WTF this laptop is 3500 pound I don't have enough money to get another 3000+ pound laptop while waiting for this to come back. So in the end, after messing around I decided to just get a different one and I am writing this now on a ASUS ROG Zephyrus GX701GWR (RTX 2080). I don't think Alienware and Razor are bad, they are some of the best laptops out there. I just think some of us get bad ones and their support is shit and we have to suffer. Thanks for sharing this video, I am sad that you went though this I really glad you got this sorted and didn't get screwed.

I've literally just been through no less then 3 Alienware M15's, all 3 were faulty on arrival. Screen "pinching" manufacturing faults, or "light bleed" was a problem on all 3, 2 barely held an hours worth of battery even in battery saver mode, and I could prove this by getting a report through powershell. One the touch pad wasnt sitting properly in the chasis, to list but a few of the problems I faced with all 3. For a machine that cost as much as a decent second hand car, I really was blown away by how bad the experience was. The thing that I have learned from the experience is that, you might pay more, but when buying something that is both expensive and fragile, it's best to buy retail. Because by far the most frustrating part of the experience was dealing with Dell's tech support and customer support, having to wait in queue on the phone, getting the right departments etc and then the inconvenience of having to make yourself available for couriers, waiting for replacement laptops etc. Its been a fcking nightmare. At least if you buy retail you have a person you can speak to face to face, and you can resolve the issue faster. Plus, truth be told you are also putting a lot of trust in courier companies which lets be real, some guy getting paid minimum wage at a distribution center somewhere really doesnt know or even care whats in the undisclosed box he's throwing around so there is that. - Ironically I recently purchased a Razer Blade 15 advanced and its so far been flawless.

That's wild, Razer had the best support I've ever had. Was having issues with laptop not wanting to restart properly, like it would hang. Hit them up on twitter and did what they recommended to fix it, no fix, they RMA'd it and they paid shipping to them and back to me. I sent it on Jan 6 and received it back on Jan 11. I had a Dbrand skin on it, and they took care to swap the lid (or maybe whole screen) and bottom to keep my skin and replaced entire laptop. I had to RMA my last laptop as well and it's an Asus one, they kept the laptop for over a month before sending it to me the slowest possible speed (seriously it was 14 day shipping).

He was unlucky and I’m sorry to hear what happened to you but one thing I must agree with everyone in the comment section is that, if you going to buy this laptop is best to do it through a retailer and not the actual razer website since I must say razer don’t necessarily have the best customer service.
