My mum's celebration cake is the easiest and cheapest! Join me while I'm preparing it for my BDAY
In order to celebrate both Hanoucca and Xmas, I offert you my mother's recipe, the easiest and cheapest not backed cake I'v ever made. The Papouchado, probably some of you knows it in different name is also the easiest cake to decorate, and take my word as a cook that doesn't like to bake!
If you didn’t know what desert to make for your holidays yet you dream of surprising your entourage, here’s one on a golden plate 🕎 🎄
For those who’ll watch to the end, a surprise is waiting for you, in french, but you can activate the subtitles, clicking on the setting button , up on the right side of my video screen, and choose you’re language.
Ingredients :
Biscuits ( hard ones ) petit beurre per exemple
Cocoa Cream:
Cocoa
Suger
Butter / margarine
Eggs
Rhum/congac
Nes coffee in order to dip in the biscuits

That is amazing! Here in Australia, we have a similar cake made with Chocolate Ripple Biscuits (cookies in the USA) and whipped cream. The assembly is the same, except our biscuits are round, which is a little more limiting. So little work and endlessly delicious and rewarding, especially with guests who have no idea how easy it is to make! Some people like to dip them in liqueur. I will try your version in 2023! You buy very fresh ones! when you make cream like chantilly you don't cook them as well ...so I guess you never had a raw egg? like athletes?

Unfortunately, here in the USA in the urban areas, we get eggs from commercial farms via grocery stores. Often they mix older eggs in with newer ones. Last year, a famous ice cream brand had to do a recall because of salmonella from the eggs in their ice cream base . When I was young and lived on a farm where we raised chickens and had access to very fresh eggs, my mother would mix raw egg, vanilla, milk, and a little sugar to get my sister, who was an exceedingly picky eater as a child, to have something to eat before she went to school. After we moved to the city, she never did it again because of the risk. Thanks for the explanation!
