@mussajavdan8203 they have been married in both Italy and the USA. They are just jumping through the legal hoops of citizenship the respecting countries require, the USA may delay your citizenship process if you’re traveling out of the states while it’s processing, which is why he hasn’t traveled back to Italy while it was processing.

This is literally the best video. My husband and I know this story very well. He came here in 2013 after we were apart for 1.5 years waiting for his visa. It was a long road to residency and then citizenship. Very emotional. He hasn’t been able to go home in 10 years because life happened, we had kids, struggled finishing school, etc… I want nothing more than to take him home. I can’t imagine that day because I see it in his eyes all the time. How he misses home. 😭 we have so many victories, but this is the one we have yet to celebrate. Congrats!!!!! You guys are beautiful.

I literally follow like zero couple or family channels. But I saw you guys on Facebook and thought Carlo was hilarious so I looked you guys up on KZread and man am I glad I did. I’ve watched several videos and as a grown man, I will admit that I teared up multiple times. Especially in the sister surprise video and this video. I’ve seen a ton of couples post on Facebook and it all seems so fake and phony to me. But with you guys, it is so blatantly obvious, it’s real. The love you guys have for each other literally jumps through the screen. To see how happy she gets when surprising Carlo or when things happen for him. That’s love. Or when she kept saying he gets to go home and he wouldn’t let her say it because, his home is with her now. I mean there are a ton of examples but all you have to do is watch. This isn’t some fake thing to get likes. This is real and genuine love. A love most of us may never find in our lifetime . But if there were 2 people to find it, I couldn’t thing of a more deserving couple. Both of you are so kind, genuine and just good people. Incredibly rare to find now a days. My mom is from Korea and this video made me tear up and smile ear to ear to see the joy of you two and celebrating the way you did. My parents had to do the same things and it was never easy and this is just absolutely amazing

OMG CONGRATS CARLO!!!! I can honestly say that I was just as emotional when my parents and brother got their residency as well. For them it was a much longer process as it took over 12 years for them to get it back in 2002. It then took my folks 20 years, last year, to also become American Citizens!!! I couldn’t explain the happiness in sharing that with them and in taking that final step. The process took 2 years and lots of studying for the test. They passed on their first try!! Couldn’t be prouder, until last November when they were finally able to vote. That just really made everything so worth it, to see them have that right to have a say in how their country/state/ local government is shaped after 32 years of paying their dues. I hope that stories like yours and stories like my parents (who are in their 70s by the way) can motivate other to keep going in their goals. To also follow your dreams to being part of whatever country they want to call home. Much love! Cheers 🥂 🎊 🎉❤

Such fantastic news and such beautiful raw emotions on display! It reminds me of December 2020 when I was living in China with my Chinese wife and she finally got her spouse visa for the UK after waiting about a year due to Covid and I imagine it'll be the same in 2026 once she gets her indefinite leave to remain and can then apply for citizenship. We've since had twin boys which we delayed trying for until we were in the UK. Moments like these are lovely and will be cherished forever, enjoy yourselves with the knowledge there is less stress around your situation!

I went through the same thing I'm from lanciano and I couldn't go home almost 3 years before I got my residency the feeling is unexplainable utter joy . While waiting nothing can explain how horrible the feeling when you aren't allowed to go home nothing compares. Carlo, Sarah… I am just now seeing this. Tears streaming down my face - pure joy for you all. Family is everything. Sarah, “It’s your HOME…” You absolutely understand. You love him so deeply that you’ve felt his want of “home” as if it were yours. My Carlo from Martone never returned in nearly 40 years. His family was all here including all 1st cousins etc. Martone was almost a ghost town with most immigrating to Australia. The home he grew up in was run down, shambles. No running water or indoor bathroom, 1 room downstairs for kitchen, fireplace (where they cooked), pantry where Carlo slept (he dipped into the homemade lard and sausages😂 thinking his Momma didn’t know🙄). 2nd floor slept parents and young brother. 3rd floor was 1 bed and held 4 sisters. Carlo’s Mother didn’t want him to go there afraid he’d be kidnapped for ransom. As we made plans for our semiretirement, his “home” and 1 2nd cousin was on our travel list. We had plans! 10 days later,,, Carlo was gone. When next we meet, I hope heaven has a perfect Italy. Our life was harder than yours but so much the same. I pray you don’t mind me living vicariously through you. You’ve brought laughter and memories back. My Carlo was such a wonderful storyteller! He’d left home at 14 (Mom and 2 sisters were here) and worked, traveled and learned the dialects of beautiful Italy, probably breaking hearts along the way. ❤ Grazi mille

I first found this channel from short vids on KZread where Sara would play practical jokes in Carlo. But they are such a genuine couple with deep love for each other. I literally got goose bumps from this video, I was so happy for Carlo. Even though I had already seen their return to Italy videos when he surprised his family, it was nice to see this video from before that all happened. I really like these two people so much, and their families are great too.

I went through the same thing, I'm French and when I got my card and knew I could go back to see my family after two years, I just collapsed crying ! You also are so lucky to have such great in laws (I do not have this chance which made those two years very difficult).
