Yknow honestly that first story is a sitatuation I think all doctors finds themselves in where they know what they're doing is questionable, but want to do something nice or the right thing and it ends up having complications. I think its how you deal with it afterwards that show what kind of a human you are. Some doctors could have said "well she INSISTED on having it done in the window room, so its NOT MY FAULT!" but you felt bad, because you could have said no, and you slept little that night to make sure that woman was okay. That shows a man that truly cares about his patients and fellow people :))

Wow, I have a major surgery coming up in July, mastectomy on one breast, breast reduction on the other, and reconstruction using tissue/fat/skin from my stomach (tummy tuck). I never stress out about anything but bleeding would be a concern. Glad they’re keeping me overnight in the hospital.

These horror stories is why I'll never get plastic surgery if it's not an emergency situation. People trust doctors too much. (Or surgeons shoud I say). They're just human at the end of the day. And besides, the human body is never meant to get plastic surgery, or any surgery at all. Just learn to love your look. It makes you unique.

I love that you're open and honest about the risks of the different procedures and your not-so-perfect outcomes. Plastic surgery has been fairly normalized here in the US, and I think that's great. I do not begrudge another person the opportunity to combat some of their insecurities. On the other hand, however, I feel like it's been normalized to the point that some people seem to think these procedures are no more risky than a facial from an aesthetician, and that just isn't the case. After hearing what you've said about BBLs and butt implants, I'm no longer interested (tho I still want a lift, as I've lost a considerable amount of weight). Same for the breast augmentation - just a lift, please.

Thanks for sharing what you know, I had my lipoma at my back in my right shoulder blade 3 days ago and it was a nightmare experienced because the plastic surgeon sutures is horrible and he excised way too far not just the lump, I was shocked, upset and frustrated with the result when I remove the dressing. My throat is dry and irritates I don't know why they need to put tube in my throat with just small lipoma, general anesthesia was used. And when I open my hospital chart account I saw the 10 drugs they given me at one time before the surgeon start the operation, the following are:cefazolin, dexamethasone, ephedrine, fentanyl, lidocaine, midazolam, ondansetron, profolol, rocunium, and sugammadex. I don't understand why they have to give all these meds with external excision, I need further explanation, thanks I would appreciate.

how are costs of eg the hyaluronic acid filler complication covered? Days in the hospital followed by hyperbaric therapy can't possibly be "affordable", and given the cause was a 100% unnecessary procedure, I have a suspicion that American health insurance companies would not be enthusiastic to cover the costs of complication...
