Can Plastic Surgery...MELT? | Doctor Vs Google ft. Dr. Youn
A few weeks ago I reacted to some TikToks and you were quick to point out that I featured one from Dr. Anthony Youn, a new KZreadr who’s been teaching us a lot about Plastic Surgery. I decided to invite Dr. Youn on my channel so we could dive into Google and demystify the practice, from sagging of breast augmentation to the controversy surrounding collagen. I learned a lot, including the fact that there are plastic surgeons who operate on dogs and cats! Maybe it’s time for Bear to get a facelift…
Check out Dr. Youn’s channel here: / tonyyounmd

I got attacked by a wolf as a child. I was seven, and had to have full blown plastic surgery on my hand. I can now use it like it was never damaged. Even tho I had to have my pinkie reattached, and had to have a plastic cap for my knuckle. It’s cool to look at, but barely noticeable now. Thanks to plastic surgery!! I also had to have a full spinal fusion due to my spine collapsing. It hurts so bad, but I’m not paralyzed and I’m alive. So blessed!!!

7 years ago, my then 4 year old daughter, was bitten by our dog. After the ER, she was immediately seen by a plastic surgeon. He was amazing and great with my baby. Plastic surgeons definitely do more than implants.
One of my most horrific flights I remember was when we flew two women to Milan for reconstructive surgery - they were attacked with acid. One was lucky, only half of her face was burned, the other - not so much. So if anyone tells you plastic surgery is only for vain rich people, you can direct them to those ladies. Gosh I hope they got the best treatment possible.

My sister was in a car accident years ago. I got to the hospital and had a moment with her as she was being taken off for surgery. Her nose had been pretty much flattened on her right cheek. Her ID had been lost in the accident and none of us had a "before" picture of her. She ended up with a beautiful, perfect nose. I had a wonderful plastic surgeon who removed a mole that was making my life hell. Imagine being a teenage girl with a large mole right under the breast, where the bottom band of the bra presses on it... horribly painful. The lack of scarring from the procedure means that I can even wear underwire now, although it’s still uncomfortable for the normal reasons.
I just want to say thank you to plastic surgeons ( and doctors in general ) When I was about 8 I got bit by a dog, and tthey got me exactly the way i was before and left me with the tiniest scar. They were super patient with me and helped make a traumatic experience a little better
Mike at first didn't think he was a real doctor when he saw him on tiktok, now they are doing videos together
I love how as doctors they share some differing opinions (supplements), but they are able to speak so eloquently about it using facts, research and logic, and then both find common ground in shared beliefs. Really commendable, and I wish more people would do that in our current world environment.

I’ve gotten plastic surgery at age 14, and I can never tell people without explaining because they always think it’s for cosmetic reasons. I actually had a tumor removed from my knee that was thought to be lipoma, but was in actuality a blood tumor.
Love the wholesome vibes of two guys in separate medical practices. It's just great to see! I hope to see more collaborations between medical professionals (borderline experts in their field), who like to keep their viewership informed on medical practices, as well as demystify the medical field as a whole. Best collab ever. Two of my favorite internet doctors. This was amazing.
So grateful that the two of you got together for a colab. You're both so wonderful.
Doctor Mike do a collab with a psychologist. It'll help people to understand the link between mental health and physical well being. My personal suggestion is Dr Halah Banani. She has a lot of experience and she's sort of an expert in dealing with marital problems.

This should have waaaay more likes! I would love to see this, especially now. Therapists have never been busier than in 2020, and even how they work is changing. It's extremely relevant right now. Honestly, I feel like most people should see a therapist. It's a messed up world, and everyone has something they are struggling with internally, your mental health is just as, if not more, important than just your physical health. Poor mental health can drastically affect your physical health. Okay, "speech" over 😊

I had some prejudices about plastic surgeons before my 3rd child was born. He was born with a cleft palate (as part of a genetic condition) and it was a plastic surgeon that repaired his cleft palate. Now I see a different side of plastic surgery I had never considered and I’m thankful for their ability to perform reconstructive surgeries that can be really necessary for quality of life and functionality.

hahaha, i thought the same thing. it's also interesting how he says that the funding for the research on supplements isn't really going to happen because there isn't any money in supplements. however, a lot of people are interested in them with the mindset of "quick fix, cure all", so you would think there is money in it... i guess he says this because anyone can buy a bottle of centrum at CVS, so it would be difficult for pharma to cash in on it unless they made Rx only supplements.

Honestly suplements can be a good thing. But its best to get bloodwork done to see what vitamins your body needs more off this way you can take what you actually need. Vitamin C pills when your vitamin C levels are fine is not getting your moneys worth. At least thats what my doctors tell me.
