Wait!
My favorite vintage trumpet isn't a committee?
Yep!
This is the last one from my collection as I am thinning out the herd and have found a few horns that I am really in love with now. I never play this horn sadly so have decided to put it up for sale. This horn was produced right around the same time as the famous Handcraft Committee trumpet that arguably is the most desirable trumpet in the world (that model is the same model that the amazing Chris Botti fancies).
We will ship worldwide. Be sure to check out the link below for many more pictures and videos.

A Great Vintage Martin Trumpet!
The Martin Handcraft Imperial is my absolute favorite vintage instrument! This one was made in 1939 and has the "M" bell. This trumpet has Martin's #2 medium Step bore (similar to Committee). This horn is in very good condition for its age, with a couple small dings, minimal exterior wear, and a missing tuning slide stop rod mechanism. The valves do have some compression loss but playability is very good with a thicker oil like Berp #3. The original leadpipe was pretty worn so we replaced it with an exact copy of the original pipe (we had a friend in the industry make a mandrel and make some for us!).
Check out the photos for more details.
Do not confuse the later post-committee "Imperials" with this one! While the later Imperial was an intermediate horn this Handcraft Imperial was the absolute top of the line of its time for Martin. This is a beautiful trumpet with classic art deco design details (see photos on listing!).
