This was a super fun video to do!
A lot of people have been asking for us to do a video of the various horns like this and especially these three horns in combination. The problem is we sell so many horns. we don't usually have them long enough to do a comparison video like this. fortunately we just got this Nakariakov model in stock for consignment and I felt like it was absolutely needed to do a comparison of these! The Lotus trumpet is Kyle's personal horn and is the Classic Model. Adam Rapa has put a lot of work and effort into these horns and this classic is a smokin' hot example of the great stuff they are doing at Lotus Trumpets.
All clips are un-edited, raw audio, with no processing. Also are first takes (of course).

This is a great comparison…thank you for doing these! To my ears the Lotus seems to have the most secure slotting, and definitely has a “pop” to the notes. Probably due to the 37 style bell. Doesn’t sound as stuffy as a 37 though. I really dig it. I love the harmonics that jump out of the AR. It has my favorite tone out of the 3. The Bohme obviously has the wider bell sound. It’s not my preference here, but it sounds like it plays very free and easy. I’d play any of these, but price to performance, I’m really into the Lotus.

You sound great on all of them, but you seem the most at home on the Tumultus. For me…Tumultus > Lotus > AR Resonance.

Love the colors from the Lotus in the classical sound
Tumultus my first pick for tone quality...AR, nice for superb articulations...Lotus is just an in your face horn, if that's what you're looking for. Comments are from my personal observations, not everyone's opinion. 🙏
As others have said, you can make any horn sound good. That said, altough all three instruments are great, I'm wondering if the Lotus doesn't have a slight edge in terms of clarity of sound. But again, beautiful trumpets all.
I recently bought a Couesnon flugelhorn. The Marcinkowitz mp is too deep. On trumpet, I like my Bach 3c. Can you make a recommendation?
How would The Thane performance series hold up against those horns? Lotus vs thane video...just though I'd ask.

Totally different. If the horn has a maw block. It's slightly similar to the AR
Loved the 'Skylark' segment at the end. I liked the Bohme overall, thunking it has quicker response and a clearer overall sound. I liked the AR overtones and timbre, making it very interesting to listen to and almost flugelish on the last demo (more than the other 2). The Lotus was a little thuddy to my ears with no overtones. It wasn't a bad sound by any means, but not as enjoyable to me as the other 2 because it sounded monochromatic to me.
The Lotus does it for me.
Hey I would like to see a mouthpiece review on the MV3 trumpet mouthpiece, would be appreciated.

I recently got a Lotus trumpet and was quite disappointed. It felt like it came out of tank manufacturing facility....
