My Favorite Place To Hike in NJ! Van Slyke Castle!
Join me as I explore the ruins of Foxcroft Manor, also known as Van Slyke Castle!
To get here, enter the coordinates below into Google Maps, which will direct you to the parking lot. From the lot, follow the blue trail up to the reservoir. When you reach the reservoir, bear slightly to the right, and follow the dirt/gravel road westward, keeping the reservoir on your left, until you see signs for the "Castle Point Trail".

Hey. I was wondering if there is an easier way of getting to the ruins?

So, there's 2 ways to get there (that I know of) You could follow the blue trail from the bottom lot, or you could follow the white trail from the top lot. The white trail is shorter, and mostly easy. There's just one short section that's steep and a bit tricky. Also, weekends are crazy busy there. Best to get there early in the morning before the lots fill up! Good luck!

Hi Irene! I usually like to park at the bottom lot. The top lot is always (IMO) too crowded, especially on weekends, and the hike to the castle from the top lot is not quite as challenging or interesting.
