    How has those Bones Reds worked out over time? Have they built up dirt inside? Looks like I have about as old set of cobras myself, for which I have never swapped bearings (nothing really wrong with the stock ones even yet).

    I use to play "Capture The Flag" with all my friends from the old Circuit City and some off duty security officers lol We all wore all black with Army issued makeup on our face and wore all black, black hats and black jackets. We all had our headphone gear on to communicate back and forth for our teams. You couldn’t see one another because it was pitch black out at night there. There were some young teens that pulled up in cars with lots of alcohol partying then some seen my friend and I as we walked out of the thick trees. They all yelled that we were bad guys lol When they grabbed a bat and they ran in the woods to get us, all my friends got still and quiet. They walked right by us and couldn’t see us at all as we stood right next to them. They were yelling for us and said they couldn’t see anything lol They all ran out and I told my boyfriend to go out and tell them all to leave. So all of us came out and we all looked like FBI or something lol, and we told them that they had to leave because no one is allowed there because we were practicing fighting maneuvers 😂 Then we told them to take out all their alcohol and liquor that they had and we wanted to see their ID’s/drivers license. They all were from ages 15,16,17 years old lol We made them dump all the alcohol out and go home. Then they told a cop that we were there and that we told them to leave. The officer was also our good friend too lol He too laughed and came back to play the game with us. My friend and I would drop flat and the other team would walk right on us and never knew it lol We got up to run from the other team and her and I both ran off the wall screaming "OH SH1T" and landed on our thick boots and slid into one of the dungeons holding our knees leaning forward while sliding. Thankfully we had our great thick black boots on. We looked at each other and made sure we were alive then just cracked up laughing and everyone heard us on their headphones super loud. Getting out was super hilarious as they pulled us up with rope. This was back in the early 90’s. That was our hangout then and it was peaceful there then. I don’t know about now though. I miss the great times there with all our friends. Wr lived not far from A square C square College. …. Thanks for these cool vids of my old stomping grounds lol❤

    Pete, you were wise to draw the parallels between the confounding support for a "crazy guy" from people overseas, and the situation we found our country's election(s) during the age of Trump. In 2016, many sounded the alarm - - and many downplayed the dangers. (and still continue to downplay) Now, we know what we're in for if the maniac is allowed to slither back into power. He continues to galvanize his devotees; fundraise from wealthy assholes and corporations, and maintain support from evangelicals, neo-fascist / "Christian" Nationalist groups and individuals. The country should know better.

    Hey I buy a Doble Pedal Iron Cobra HP900PSWL is lefty and I want to convert to right side. I detached the pedal but when I get to the part of the ball box(bearing), it feels like pressure and doesn't come out. How can I remove it? And I apply W40 and doesn’t come out thanks for the advice

    Sorry man, I'm not familiar with that model. But it "looks" like once you remove the two chrome bearing caps, you should be able to flip the whole axle assembly. Of course, you'll have to remove, reverse, and reinstall the cams and beater rockers, but I believe that would be the same as on my older model. Good luck!

    Useful video! I have several cymbals which have large cracks which run around the diameter of the cymbal. Do i risk cutting them down into a splash or is there anyway of fixing them to still get a good sound from them as they are?

  • @petegreendrummer
    @petegreendrummer4 ай бұрын

    Use a dremel, and just cut out the crack first. I'd recommend cutting at least half an inch beyond the crack at each end, and really take your time smoothing the edges with sand paper. The cymbal should still sound good, and be playable for some time. But, the crack will always persist eventually.

  • @mattseymour8637
    @mattseymour86374 ай бұрын

    @@petegreendrummerThanks for the advice. That sounds like a good idea but would this work if the crack is say about a 3rd to half of the diameter of the cymbal? Won't it affect the sound too much?

    I had an old 1950s Gretsch kit with a real thick wrap. The heads were like this. Tight. First time I detuned it I took the hoops off. It was still in tune. Yep. You can tune a tight head up. But if you decide you've tuned too high.... well I had to punch the shell to pop the head off. Not the easiest of drums I ever had to tune.

    on the minute 28:18 does the whole mechanism woobles? since tjey are 2 separated rods for left and right beater. i just got the iron cobra 600 used. and i notice some wooble. not sure if normal or if i should return it.

  • @petegreendrummer

    As far as I can tell, the 600. Looks like it has a similar design to the axles, so, I would say once everything is tightened down, there shouldn't be any wobble. Good luck, and thanks for the comment!

    Also, instead of long boards (which I do want to make), I removed the toe stop, and moved the pedal board back to those other 2 screw holes that are on the base, closer to the back of ur heel... The make-shift direct drives stick out just enough to not interfere with my toes. And.. not meaning to come off rude on this part, but, with how straight u keep ur pedals, u honestly don't need a fancy universal joint setup. U might actually benefit from a straight shaft
