    Nice video, nice scooter! I've bought the Honda Lead (Aero)50, 1984 year of produce, just today for 55$. It came from Japan to Russia in very good condition!

    Pete,you could also remove the spark plug and spray a little bit of kerosene diesel fuel or WD-40 in there Rings might be sticky. You need three things to make it run spark Fuel and compression .

    Very cool! I appreciated your previous video explaining your history with this specimen. You may just have a bunch of gunky gas lines at this point as you've sort of alluded to. Looking forward to the next part.

    @@petegreendrummer A steel guitar string, can of carb cleaner,and some compressed air will really help get those ports cleaned out once you disassemble.

    Put muriatic acid in rusty tanks to clean them out. Flush with baking soda and water to neutralize the acid

    Well, I took my scooter to Steve's Moped in Dumont, NJ. But actually, I was disappointed with their service. I'd recommend looking for somewhere else. Bring it to Steve's as a last resort.

    The motor oil

  • @petegreendrummer

    @petegreendrummer

    3 жыл бұрын

    Well, this is a 2-stroke motor. On a typical 2-stroke, you would mix oil with the gasoline, and the motor simply consumes it. On this motor, however, there's a separate little oil tank under the seat, and the oil is fed to the carburetor as needed. So, it's not necessary to pre-mix the gas and fuel. If you're working on a 2-stroke motor (on an old scooter, or a lawn mower, or a weed whacker, etc...) make sure you're using 2 stroke oil!!!

    Are you still having trouble registering your bike? You said that the estate of your mother's will needed to sign some papers right? I hope what I have for you is good news. My father died in 2015 That is not the good news lol When my father died his mother was still alive, in fact my grandmother is still alive. That being said when my father died my brother and I were both equally the states to his will by default as that is how it works in Canada. I don't know how it works for you but when it came to any matters regarding my father's life including sending his body to be cremated both my brother and I had to sign the paperwork nobody else. I was 25 years old at the time both his mother brother and father are still alive. So my Grandma my grandpa and my uncle are also alive, and when my dad died since he was single and not married his children by default are the executors of his will. That's the words I'm looking for executors of the will. I'm not sure what it's like in the United States of America But if it's the same as in Canada if your mother wasn't married then you and or your siblings combined are the executors of the will. so it might feel funny but you might be the person who gets to sign those papers.
