McFred were left out to dry. They were completely outnumbered in midfield because bruno was made to push up and press the liverpool back 4 along with rashford and greenwood. With Firmino dropping deep, Milner and keita together means it is a 3v2 in midfield. 4v2 if Henderson pushed up. Not much the 2 of them could have done.

It’s all a problem 😂 I’m not a United fan but it’s very simple to see the weaknesses in the team. U play with 2 wingers but both are naturally strikers and don’t provide goals but go for the goals themselves, this makes Ronaldo even more of a problem because he relies on others providing him the ball because all he does is stand in the box and wait. A cdm is massively in need to solidify the defense, with that pogba could play as the going forward cdm/cm. Atm the defence is all over the place. Wan Bissaka might be good a tackling but that means nothing when his awareness is as bad as it is and shaw the same. Harry maguire is just terrible.

As a proper United fan, this post match interview from Ole really did not give me any confidence at all and I mean literally none. He said all the things I didn't want him to say and said none of the things I wanted to hear. I think he is either blind to what the real problem actually is or he has 0% control over his players. The fact is we have 1 of the lowest work rates in the premiership, that is where the problem starts and if they cannot get the basics of football right then we have no chance in winning anything or being a consistent winning team which is what you need to be if your Manchester United manager. Ole has brought this team as far as it can go and I'm happy with the progress but I cannot see him taking us any further. Losing at home without scoring and conceding 5 goals to our arch rivals is unforgivable and after this interview from him it cannot get any worse. I don't think I've ever felt this unhappy as a United fan.

I mean, United finished 2nd last season and got EL final. They added 2 world-class players with experience in winning everything (one of them being one of the greatest players of all time), and England's most exciting youngster who tore it up in the Bundesliga. Why wouldn't *anybody* think that United would be challenging for the league this season with Liverpool performing sub-par last season (because of injuries mostly tbf) and Man City not having a striker? And also, Varane was a bargain, and United made more money off of Ronaldo shirt sales than they had spent signing him. So, not bad business done by the club there...

What I observe with your team you can't defend for a toffee and lack pace but just look to the next game. Remember you having some Momentous players in the early 70s. Goalie Kevin Keelan and Ted McDougal plus Colin Suggett and a very acumlished manager in John Bond. We are also struggling at present because we still morn Grealish going and lack pace but plenty of time to be positive.
