His statements about players making teams play a certain way - it was evidenced very much at Tottenham. I felt a few times that the media and fans criticised Jose's style of football but numerous times Jose showed that tactically he could best the best. Man City came to Spurs and Jose tactically owned them. What we saw as time went on was as he says here - constant injuries and lack of fitness, bad player attitudes and lack of overall quality - he didn't have many tactical options available because of how limited Spurs were defensively.

From a Liverpool fan, I think Mourinho is far more correct in his assessments than Man United fans want to believe. When he had that 8 minute rant about heritage that loads of people deemed crazy, if you watch that back, he is 100% right. He inherited a bang-average squad on the decline. Graeme Souness made a bit of a mess of Liverpool (who were also in decline) in the early 90s and lo and behold, 20+ years and counting with no title.

Not exactly though. He hasn't been laughing from the start simply cause coaches like van Gaal and Mourinho want to change a club from inside out from the Chairman to the kitchen staff. Everybody knows since Ferguson is behind the scenes pulling the strings and United does everything Ferguson tells them to, like not to let them take over completely, they will never get any green lights to do so wich results in van Gaal and Mourinho coaching their club at 50%. It's like you have a restaurant and you hire a new cook but the rule is he can't use the restaurant kitchen.....Cook would be like, but that's what I came for to be the Cook therefore I should be in the kitchen. So to my opinion the chemistry van Gaal - United and Mourinho - United never worked from the Get Go

Sacking Mourinho won't solve United´s problems. Of course you would get a change in style of play if the new manager have a completely different playing style. But, as Mourinho say the players reflect the squad. We could get improvements everywhere on the pitch, but I think nothing really changes until Manchester United hire a sports director that can help and ease the connection between mr.Woodward and Mourinho. In addition, a sports director that know where and how the squad needs to be improved alongside with Mourinho. When you have a chairman that gave Mourinho a contract and then doesn´t support him when he is asking for players to sign, what can you then expect? Either you stand 100% with your employee or you find a new one. Mourinho already saw this coming, and still people are "surprised" that United is struggling as they do now.

I’m an analyst, not football analyst, but me and several Liverpool fans already said, he does not fit in Manchester United. We already knew he was going to struggle a lot, especially with United director. The style, approach and readiness don’t match at all. The same as Liverpool struggled to find someone who can do it their way, and Benitez was great but not enough, Rodgers was lucky but Daglish was the saviour who bought time for Liverpool to get Klopp. Wenger and Ferguson are legacy makers, you need another legacy maker, Mourinho who jumps from one champion to another will not be a good match for Manchester United, ever.

He is a very great coach He still is one of the best. Problem is with coaches like van Gaal, Mourinho, Guardiola and Klopp they want to change everything inside out. From chairman to the kitchen staff etc. But at Manchester United that's never gonna happend just like with van Gaal there is someone pulling the strings and that string is called ''Ferguson'' telling United not to break that Ferguson legacy. What happends is van Gaal and Mourinho will never get green light to change the club inside out so they will coach the club at 50% not giving all cause they allready know i'm being blocked in the areas where I want to change everything wich is gonna result in them not giving everything to the team resulting in loses on the pitch and try and stay as long as they can to survive. So their doom was allready happend from the get go. With van Gaal and Mourinho it's like you having a restaurant and you hire a new cook but he can't use your kitchen. What would be achieved by sacking Mourinho? You have one of the best managers in the world struggling with an incredibly undynamic team. He should be given a chance to completely rebuild the team, like pep has been allowed to do at City. People talk about the money spent of fred bailly dalot and lindelof, but these are not ready-made players. They are young and need slowly bedding into the team, they aren’t going to immediately fix United’s problems. The simple fact is that the quality just isn’t there in these players, so move them on and try again. Mourinho bought fabregas and costa and won the league due to the quality of those signings (alongside an already good team). His track record says that if he asks for certain players, then you need to give him them. Not 3rd choice on the pecking order players. £30m is no longer a lot for a player. They’re not the big signings that United need. I do think Mourinho is somewhat at fault. But those that think a change of manager is the answer are incredibly naive. Just my opinion, as a neutral.

From an outsiders perspective, looking at the interview from a totally unbiased point of view, Jose is speaking the truth here. He is limited by the tools he is using, in the way he wants to use them. The problem is that Jose has to be accomedated now, and united did not do that efficiently. A lot of the players either are past their primes or ego driven millennials that need an arm around the shoulder rather than a kick up their ass, and Jose is fully a kick up the ass manager, destructively so. Only players of the past could make his approach work without needing to be world class. Jose’s approach needs one area to be working better than any other team in the league, it’s either he has a great defensive set up where all the players are willing to put their bodies on the line or world class attacking players that consistently show up regardless of the shenanigans of the manager. He had that before at teams like Porto, Madrid, Chelsea and inter. He doesn’t have the same formula working for him at United. A different manager would get better performances and results out of this team but I guarantee once the summer comes there would be a clear out...one that wasn’t afforded to Jose. Jose will only succeed at teams that are already built, but I never really rated uniteds squad since he arrived and I’m not sure what the rest of the league saw.

He's simply a fraud. And his sacking once more again shows that! Pep is billion times better than this fraud. That's why we chose Pep Guardiola over him after Frank Rijkaard left our team in 2008 and daily we don't regret one bit because Pep won us Sextuple and 14 Trophies in 4 years something Jose Fraudrinho would've not have done if he had taken over our team.
