Playing football is entirely different to analysing football, which is what the pundits are here to do. Just because Carragher and Neville had good careers does not make them good pundits or analyst.

A top team has to be complete on four moments of the game- Possession, Non-possession, defensive transition and attacking transition. You can be a attacking team or less attacking team but what you have to be good in 4 moments....." The special one may have his share attitude problems or ego problems or tenacity when it comes to certain things. Still he is a genius in his work. One hell of footballing brain that he owns...🙏

Graeme honestly redeems himself every other edition of this program for me. Sometimes he gets hung up on some points he makes, but other times he makes very good observations. And his experience is unmatched in this panel.

😂 at 3.25 when Gary says 'i'll ask you Jose have managers got time' then he looks away from Jose to explain further to carragher coz he can't look Jose in the eye 😭 and the whole time Jose is staring at Gary deep into his soul and doesn't even blink till question is done 🤣. That is the epitomy of respect and fear from Gary 😄

That's why Barcelona were so good 6/7/8 years ago even when they lost the ball every player was fighting back instantaneously to get the ball back never gave the opposition a chance to breathe, and well them in offence well there's that also.

Richard Fisher couldn’t agree more... He was a good midfielder in his day but that was nearly 50 years ago! He talks about football and rocket science and yeah the basics haven’t changed but football like everything else in life moves on... He’s a good guy I think but also a dinosaur!

Jose is so awesome. It's even more amazing to be succinct and clear when speaking in his third language, and blows my mind when you think he could then also do this in French and Italian (45h/5th languages), and apparently he's learning German! He comes up with real football philosophies rather than sound-bites, which is why they all defer to him. He's seen it and done it in several countries (like Ronaldo) and no one can argue with that. Great, great man.

True but some things will never change

The gulf in footballing IQ between “The Special One” and Neville and Carragher is so vast it’s becomes self evident right away. But Neville and Carragher are genuinely trying to understand the game better so you have to give them credit for having that desire

To Gary, Jaimie and Greame, let Jose Mourinho talk and take notes. He makes more sense in 30 seconds than the rest of the panel does in 10 minutes. Jose is the special one.

If you watch any of Pep's teams play you can see that they never lose their shape right up until they get to the final third of the pitch. The myth is that they play with a lot of freedom but in actually they are very highly structured and just happen to do a lot of amazing things at the end of the pitch.

Don't see the big fuss about him '03-06 yeah probably the best manager in the world but that was 15+ years ago. He is a dinosaur now, yes he stands out here, but it's like they don't want to talk over him incase he goes mental or walks off, like half the times he did in a press conference but happily take, probably the 4M that was thrown at him for probably a season deal. Now at Tottenham scraping wins after going behind. Lost about 4 games already. He ain't special lol will be at Tottenham for another year (Dec 20) until he walks after failing to win about 4 games in a row and having Tottenham 7th. Join Bayern, win 2 doubles which isn't hard Tbf. Go on about how has won every league he has been too and retire. Come out of retirement to give it a go with Portugal in the Euros and WC before returning to a Sky/BT or Amazon prime, whatever it will be in the next 10 years after only winning 4 trophies since his time on here (Aug 19)

Den ole had faced the same problem last season that mourinho faced but instead of being left hung out to dry by the United board they backed him in the transfer window (something that didn't happen to Mourinho). Mourinho was forced to play with players that don't fit his system and players that aren't good enough for the top level.

Jose basically told us why he failed at UTD , players were not buying into his defensive philosophy .but I'm going to assume he had one too many personality clashes ..which doesn't fit the modern day approach of player development .

you can go on all about luiz's defensive flaws, but there is no doubt he is a quality ball playing centre back. when united were pressing, luiz would've been able to ping a ball accurately up field to nullify the press and push chelsea on a counter.

@Amitabh Bachchan I'm a Chelsea fan and as good as we are in the attack, we are absolutely a shambles in defense. We lack balance in the team. Transitions should not just be about defense to offense, it should also be about offense to defense and we seem to lack a plan as a collective which is wayyyyyy more worrying to me than having a problematic player or two.

3 years on this is just mesmerising to watch. The kids stay quiet when the Boss speaks. His achievements with Inter were just something else

Mourinho is brilliant to listen to, such a higher level of insight!

When Jose speaks, he is so superior to others. Others don’t have a clue.
