The problem for him is opponents back lines have caught on to him and are baiting him more and more because they know he’s too impatient with his runs. Someone at Liverpool needs to spend each day during preseason doing bent runs with him after practice each day.

Nunez is Nunez... it will not be as entertaining and controversial if he bends his run. He just needs to calm down and finish well. Getting caught offside once in a while is normal. Missing open goals is not.

Issue is not with liverpool forwards. Scoring 3 goals , 2 goals or even 1 goal is enough for top teams. Not enough for liverpool.

In Liverpool’s last two matches, the starting 11 have outscored Tottenham and Villa 7-1. In those same two games once Liverpool’s substitutes have come on, Liverpool has been out scored 4-0. And if you were paying close attention today, you can see why. When Quansah scored the 3rd goal, the camera zoomed to Klopp and he did a fist pump. But literally none of the substitutes sitting on the bench showed any reaction at all. Which is very telling. They are checked out and not providing any spark once coming on

@kd5973 The contrast between the starters and the substitutes coming on tells a very clear story. And if you actually watched the game and saw the image of the substitutes not celebrating, it’s pretty clear the guys on the bench are the ones on the beach. The starters have been pulling their weight. 7-1 pre substitutes vs 0-4 post substitutes within two matches says it all.

As a Villa fan this match was a fun, feisty final home math anda great one final MNF for the neutrals and I am really glad it was Liverpool. Who we have shared many a madcap end of season game with. Our play also summed up our season as it had a bit of everything, some sloppy play, silly mistakes, poor defending, excellent defending, tenacity led by McGinn's energy, skill, talent, Tielemans, Luiz play making, our running game, not a Villa match without some offside VAR close calls and despite injuries, semi final disappointment, tired legs and a losing streak of 4 matches the 'Unai no excuses mentality...' is embeded in us and we look forward to the challenge CL (if we are so lucky) will bring no matter our inexperience. Wholeheartedly agree with Luiz its the only way to grow as a team and organization UTV

Macca had a nightmare ! Was too casual all game and was at fault for two of the goals! Minds already on the beach... with nothing to play for! Especially with Klopp leaving!

Sympathy for Nunez, with the cost and second season, but non for Jackson 1st season and far less cost.

If you say Salah was invisible then you have watched another game Steve Nicol , Salah contributed to the first and second goal , he gave almost three assist but the others couldn't benefit them. What bother me the most is that the English fans and LFC former players never blame Trent and Virgil Vandijk for their poor defences and continue blunders in big games, both have cost Liverpool CL finals vs Real Madrid and were the main reason that Liverpool got knock out from many games.

What happened with Olympiacos

The squad over achieved with the new midfield, and the injuries and the youngster's shining. The injuries caught up with them and the midfield and Mo's loss of form all contributed to them looking fatigued in the run in. They are lucky the season is ending next week, if we had to play some of the team's again we would lose a few. Hopefully the new Boss is more defensive then Jurgen. Farewell Kloppo Ubermensh...😊

What match is Stevie watching? Salah had a goal disallowed for a marginal offsides, should have had three outright assists if his teammates could actually finish, and was directly involved in Liverpool’s first two goals. Not to mention scoring last game and being a general menace against Spurs.

One of those seasons by lost the league by a small margin....they were ahead by like 5 points...and threw it away.....drawing at home against small teams....so yes ..I have seen that ....they buckle under pressure. So this time ..with 5 points ahead...they lost to Arsenal...failed to beat Man U.....then lost to Everton....that season they won...they did so because they had put such distance between them and City... otherwise...would have crumbled. They essentially have to win one game-Sheffield Utd doesn’t count-and have Villa lose to Crystal Palace. However, I don’t think Spurs can beat City with the title on the line.

Villa are an exciting and steady team, Along with Arsenal, and Newcastle who play entertaining football, could be a great race for PL when Pep leaves city

We simply can't defend or control games. Villa are a good team but didn't play particularly well, we just insisted on giving them a million chances on a plate and they eventually took their chances.

mac alister had played really well for 75 mins and covered alot of ground. then we take off endo and ask mac to be the cdm for the last 15 mins while villas subs run at him. he was at fault for both goals the poor lad. poor mistake from klopp but i dont care because hes given us everything and im gonna miss his grinning german chops.
