The Birmingham Central Mosque is the largest in the city. It also runs one of the largest Muslim Marriage Bureau’s. Three voluntary workers all men run this service. Parents or young adults register with them and using the bureau’s huge database try and finds prospective partners.
This programme follows a number of such stories, as meetings are set up and eventually a marriage takes place.

The British Egyptian woman seemed a bit up herself. She described the guy as “rude and arrogant” but he didn’t come across that way at all. He was just a more relaxed, chilled out person than her. Nothing wrong with that.

He was arrogant and she doesn’t need a man like him who isn’t even practicing his religion let him marry a laid back loose woman who also likes to drink as he does

I thought the Egyptian fella was the most honest of them all, he didn't pretend to be what he is. Sarah was a little picky and needs to be a bit flexible
Im curious: does anyone know if the participants succeeded in finding a partner? Since this was filmed more than 20 years ago...

Probably Birmingham.
I think they got the match the wrong way round. I think Sarah was better matched with Fiaz, and Lina was definitely better matched with the Egyptian fella if you want the honest truth. But gotta like Mr Haq for what he is trying to do, bless him. He is absolutely right about British Pakistanis marrying girls from back home in Pakistan - girls family will only see the guy as a British subject and most times it ends in disaster, which happened in my case - I can see why Mr Haq was concerned about Fiaz's change of heart about marrying abroad. I know Fiaz wanted to marry quickly but he could of controlled his excitement a bit, and as for Lina she was definitely not ready. Sarah was a bit too conservative but the Egyptian fella was actually the most honest and open of them all even though I don't agree in some of the things he said - he may come across arrogant but he was honest about himself.

This was hillarious!😀 He does not fit her at all. Allah says 'good men to good women' and good women to good men, bad men to bad women and bad women to bad men. Allah will always support you when you stand with those who practise Islam. Go clubbing is a sin and drink alcohol is one the biggest sin. The British Egyptian guy is not her type.

This is a good way to make ease connection between potential matching Muslims. The first thing to do is al du'a of consultation to Allah. Without judging people displaying smoking Muslims only show how fare many people are from the authentic Islam. If you want a good wife/ husband then obey Allah and his messenger. Most women are not covered themselves. It is just a shame on us. Please you as advisor that facilitates the marriage advise people to dress well and look nice that is crucial and give respect to our Religion. May Allah reward you for all your efforts.

Fiaz is a good guy but I think he was pushing it a bit too much with Lina and that can be off putting. As for Lina, she wasn't ready at all
