I went down the exact same track as this brother. I left Christianity on my own by the age of twelve. By the age of fifteen I was involved in psychedelics, and reading many of the same books as mentioned. I tripped over a thousand times on LSD, Psilocybin Mushrooms, Salvia Divinorum, San Pedro Cactus, 2CB, MDMA and DMT during my journey to seek the Truth. I eventually found Islam in Chicago, in 1999, and took my Shahaada in West Rogers Park. Alhamdulillaah.

It’s interesting that people who do go down this track actually end up being Muslims. I didn’t do psychedelics and all but I was deeply involved in the occult (so much so that I joined the FreeMasons) basically when we involve ourselves with the occult (satanism) it’s out of egoism and that’s when we worship our desires (like he said) to the point where we lack direction in life. God gives us direction, without God we are like lost sheep.

@@BudgetGainsByJJ I studied the occult in depth for many years. My grandfather was a 32° Scottish Rite and a Royal Arch Mason. I came to a point where I had two paths in front of me. On the left, hidden knowledge, Freemasonry. On the right, open knowledge, Islam. I chose the right path.

  • @sasino

I did not follow those paths directly, thank God, but since I was a kid I had my Cuban mother telling me about weird stories from Cuba about the occult (ghosts and hidden spirits), and I did visit Cuba a few times, but I grew up in Italy, before finally moving to the USA a few years ago. One day when I was 20 or so, in Italy, a Muslim friend and I, both smokers of weed at the time (we both quit, and I recommend quitting), were smoking at night in the park, all dark and foggy, and both of us baked, and he started to talk about the jinn and to explain to me what he knew about it, and I was really interested and I had to learn more and more, so I often went to him for those questions. Then I started to research on my own, and when I read the Quran in my language (Italian) I immediately recognized the truth in its content, and I couldn't stop reading, then after a few months I converted. Slowly over time, by reading and understanding the Quran, and the Books He revealed before it, and by praying and being patient, I started to understand many things about my life that I did not understand before, I realized how God has protected me since when I was born and while I grew up. I finally understood why when I was in middle school I would refuse talking about sexual things and I stayed away from people who talked about it, and I always hated the sexual dances and music of the Cuban people as I was surrounded by that music and music videos often, and that I was unable to lie to my advantage while keeping a straight face because every time I tried I felt the weight of it and sometimes even laughed at my own lies, and even when I did very wrong things (stealing) I was unable to keep it secret and confessed it to my parents, and paid the consequences, and I now realize that all of that was He protecting me and teaching me lessons, and I am grateful. And when I got the knowledge I started seeing at things happening in my life and realizing they happen with a reason and not randomly, and I can instinctively understand when God is telling me that I am doing something wrong by interpreting what's happening. And also, I want to give one advice, which is going to upset some Muslims, but I testify only to the truth, and I testify that there's no god but Allah, God, Ar-Rahman, whatever name you call Him, to Him belong the best names; my advice is to be aware of the false Islamic scholars, pay attention to their words and don't consider them as being always right, in fact many Islamic scholars are deceivers and they are not guided themselves, so if you don't have a strong faith you may find yourself following them forever, but if you have a strong faith, when God tells you that something is not right (about what an Islamic scholar is saying), then follow God instead of that scholar; I have found many inconsistencies between the Quranic message and the standard Sunni schools of thought, and even though, as brother Eddie said in this video, there are no theological differences between all the Islamic denominations/sects, as every single Islamic sect agrees on the concept of Tahweed, there are many practical differences, and I recommend everyone to seek God in a personal manner through His revelations, rather than depending on others to do the thinking for you. And since I have mentioned weed before, I want to advise anyone who smokes it to quit for a while and see the difference for themselves, and then I advice to quit permanently. Weed was my way to experience reality differently, however it made me extremely lazy and unproductive, it made me paranoid (I sometimes had very vivid thoughts about stuff like the FBI coming to my home etc.), and it caused serious damage to my short term memory and focus, in fact even now that I quit smoking it almost 6 months ago, I still have a very poor short term memory, and difficulty to focus. It will improve with time InshaAllah, I can only put my trust in He who guides me.

There is the STANDARD Shahada and then there's the unspoken yet TRUE Shahada. After reciting the standard Shahada, the Muslim believer soon meets, face to face, something horrible and repulsive to our God-given human attributes of love and basic human decency and morality. Sahih al-Bukhari 6130 Narrated `Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for `Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fath-ul-Bari page 143, Vol.13) I believe that this is the unspoken but TRUE Shahada. This Shahada is to either reject or silently bear witness that "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah who [given by Allah the strength of 30 men to satisfy 11 or so wives in one night (Sahih al-Bukhari 268)] married a 6 year old and entered her as a prepubercent 9 year old child still playing with dolls." Would you give away your own daughter, sister or niece at the vulnerable age of Aisha (6) and have her violated at the age of 9? Violeted because she is prepubercent. Just trying to process this in my mind makes a part of me die! This unspoken yet TRUE Shahada is potentially the biggest reason for the apostasy of Muslims and new "reverts" suddenly disgusted to discover the Messenger of Allah's immoral, inhumane and unnatural act. What do you think? COME OUT OF THIS CULT! But even the best of Muslims should finally be able to REJECT the Qur'an's claim (QS 29:46) that Allah is YAHWEH the true God of Israel through comparing each of their attitude towards the marriage age for "young women". Back then 9 year-olds were really big?? You will perish! About a thousand years before Aisha, the God of Israel compares Jerusalem (representing Israel his chosen nation) to a woman who is growing up to the point that she is ready for marriage (Israel is ready for the covenant with God): "I made you grow like a plant of the field. You grew and developed and ENTERED PUBERTY. Your breasts had formed and your hair had grown, yet you were stark naked. “ ‘Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that YOU WERE OLD ENOUGH FOR LOVE, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine."(Ezekiel 16:7‭-‬8). Just as the passerby in the METHAPHOR saves the young woman from nakedness, God saved Israel from shame in Egypt and made them his own people by making a covenant with them at Mt Sinai. It is easy to see, through this metaphor, that to the true God of Israel only a PERVERTED and REPROBATE mind would accept a 54 year old man entering a 9 year old prepubescent child still playing with dolls, as a prophet of the God of Israel. Unlike the mind of the true God of Israel, the mind of Allah of the Qur’an accepts immoral, inhumane and unnatural acts because he allows his messenger, Muhammad, to marry a 6 year old and entering her at 9 as a PREPUBERCENT still playing with dolls. Using your God given common sense, this PERVERTED and REPROBATE mind of the Kaaba god cannot be the same as the mind of the true God of Israel. Christ had done the same, CERTAINLY I-and billions of other Christians-would not be Christian today. The Aisha story is just one of many immoral fruits of Muhammad. Jesus said we would know false prophets by their fruits. Muhammad is the greatest of all false prophets. Denounce this reprobate Shahada because it is a condemnation against you on the day the true God of Israel judges you. Allah of the Qur’an is a false god disguised as YAHWEH the true God of Israel. There is no written historical records of Allah’s existence before 610 except as Hubal the chief moon god of the Kaaba. Let him who has ears hear and be saved from this reprobate religion and from the wrath of God to come! Blessings. 1. @@HeresMo I used to hear many things from those born Muslims about reverts. Some negative, but mostly positive. So, many reverts now have their own children, and perhaps don't find the zeal they had for the religion in them. This isn't surprising. When you have to fight/work for something, you will appreciate it more. It's not something that can be forced either, but instead they must observe a good example, and you have to explain to them why Islam. Today's generation are distracted by technology, and the false narrative that all religions are equal. Of course people are free to choose what they worship, but if you compare like for like, even from a practical point of view, Islam is the clear winner.

Very well said. Psychedelics can be a useful tool if one is prepared. However there are serious traps, one of the biggest being ego inflation and as you said self worship. I fell in those traps myself. Interestingly it was one of those experiences that recently ignited a burning desire in me to learn more of Islam. In this experience I realized that the only important thing in life worthy of pursuing is to submit to Allah’s will. I only have two choices, be a slave to my own desires or a slave to Allah. The choice is a no brainer, but the path is difficult. I pray we all find peace by submitting to Allah’s grand design for our lives.

"When someone says they're spiritual and not religious, they're trying to imply they've been unable to apply a systematic philosophical framework of reason to their day to day lives. This to me seems to be a trivialization of what religion is. It's not a list of philosophical beliefs you can adopt or exclude. You have to take the whole package for itself." He made me feel guilty. The way he explained our celestial bodies being tuned in with the universal law and how our prayer timing changes was so great also the way he explained the issues with Christianity and Judaism was excellent, every muslim should know that and be able to explain it like that. Everything he said was impressive. Our brother would definitely beat us in earning a higher Jannah. Even his recitation of Al-Fatiha was so great and amazing MaShaAllah and hes just 23 man hats off. How can I possibly get in touch with brother Alex. I have lost my little brother to Monism and New Age spirituality. I've tried for more than a year now to put sense into him and guide him back to the Truth but I failed miserably. Watching the video now, I feel a sense of hope. Brother Alex knows this New Age movement very well and could definitely understand where my brother is coming from and communicate with him in his own language. God says in the Quran: "Who is better in speech than one who calls to Allah, does righteous deeds and says indeed I am among the Muslims." If Brother Alex could do Dawah and help save my little brother's soul it would be a blessing and a gift from Allah. May Allah guide us all. And thank you so much Eddie for all the work that you do! You are a true inspiration and blessing sent by God to all of us. May Allah reward you infinitely. Amin.

Some also encounter evil energies. If these entities are really the Jinn, then why would they help us. And what about the argument these are no more than hallucinations...

@@birdsongs482 if you asked me this same question a few years back, I would"ve told you yes these "entities" are indeed benevolent and they do help people, and dmt did change my life and made me waaay more "spiritual" and in tune with my inner self, my surroundings and with the spiritual world!.....HOWEVER, these "entities" are usually not what they say they are. They just play the part and pretend to be benevolent and angelic, and give you good advice and wisdom and show you guidance...etc, to hook you in. Once you're hooked, they start to slowly reel you in, very slowly over a long period of time, several years in fact. They'll start by showing you that you are one with the universe, then convince you that "all life is sacred" and you shouldn't eat animals or consume animal products or even their milk. Then move you on to hugging trees and worshipping celestial object and mother nature (her name is Gaia) Then move you on to thinking that God is the universe itself, and everything in the universe is a part of God, therefore you are also a god and the universe itself is obligated to obey your command, and all you have to do is believe and give your orders and the universe (or the vortex) will conspire to make your wishes come true, because you're a god remember?......It'll feel really amazing at first, and without you realizing, you'll find yourself deifying those "entities", and slowly but surely, you'll start paying respect and reverence to other, much older "entities" that people had been worshipping like Buddha (yes, they do appear to people pretending to be Buddha himself sometimes) or the hindu gods like krishna or shiva or kali...etc etc!.....They can be very alluring and even seductive!......Then, you go deeper, and find out you can actually evoke or summon those "entities" and have them help you or serve you through ritualistic meditation, and that's when you know you're already knee deep into magic and occultism!..... BAM, their job is done, you're now a polytheist pagan hippie, who also deals in black magic!....job well done!

Does he know that dear Muslims have been deceived into believing that Islam is a true ABRAHAMIC FAITH? The only reason Muslims believe so comes from Allah's claim in QS 29:46 to be the true God YAHWEH (Exodus 3:14-15) of Israel whom the prophets and the New Testament repeatedly refer to, ironically, as 'FATHER' (Deuteronomy 32:6, Psalms 89:26‭-‬27, Isaiah 63:16, Matthew 6:9) and 'CREATOR' People will perish because of lack of knowledge. The fifth book of the LAW OF MOSES (Torah) makes reference to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as 'FATHER' and CREATOR . Moses was addressing the rebellious Israelites when he said: "Is this the way you repay the Lord, you foolish and unwise people? Is he not your FATHER, your CREATOR, who made you and formed you?" (Deuteronomy 32:6). Yet Allah of the Qur’an, in no way, shape or form (spiritually, literally or metaphorically) is he FATHER to anyone (QS 6:100). There is no word like 'Allah-Abba' or 'Allah-father'" in Islam. Jesus prayed "Abba, Father". When Arabic-speaking Christians use the word Allah, it is usually used in combination with the word al-Ab. Allah al-Ab means “God the Father,” and this usage is one way Arab Christians differentiate their true God from the Islamic god of the Hajr e aswad (Black stone) and Kaaba. QS 6:100 " .. And they falsely ascribe to Him sons and daughters without any knowledge. Glory be to Him. And He is far beyond and above all the things that they attribute (to Him)" If you are honest, you have to accept that these two are not the same god: one is the FATHER and the other REJECTS the idea that he is the FATHER. Yet this didn't stop Allah from openely lying to beloved Muslims by falsely claiming to be the God of Israel who is creator of the heavens, the earth, the seas and everything in them (Psalms 146:6): QS 29:46. "...We believe in all that is revealed to us and in that which has been revealed to you, and our God and your God is One, and to Him we stand resigned." Wow! If I were Muslim this would be a deal breaker! Allah's false claim is the biggest LIE in the history of mankind ever since Satan LIED to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden!! Beloved Muslim, why do you worship a god who steals the identity of another god? Why don't Muslims first ask us the people of the scriptures whether the 7th century god of the Kaaba is indeed our God as he claims? The identity of Allah is really a mixing of and theft of the identities of other gods into one god. This is why those who heard of Muhammad’s god accused him QS 38:5. ‘Has he turned (the whole lot of) gods (we worshipped) into One God? Very strange indeed is this thing.’ In an attempt to deceive or forcibly convert Jews and Christians, the author of the Qur’an incoperated some stories about Adam, Abraham, Moses etc from Jewish scriptures and Jewish fairy tales (Talmud). Islam is a false Abrahamic faith. The author of the Qur’an further blasphemed and corrupted (Al-Maidah 5:109-120) the true nature of Jesus as the eternal Word of God which became flesh (Isaiah 40:3-5, Malachi 3:1 and John 1:1,14) through using unbiblical stories about Jesus from WELL-KNOWN gnostic and heretical sources going around at that time such as the so-called "Infancy Gospel of Thomas", "The Gospel of Pseudo Mathew" (Unknown), and "The Second Treatise of the Great Seth". Beloved Muslims are encouraged to reflect on this truth and ponder as to the real identity of this mysterious Allah of the Qur'an. It is crystal clear that this 7th century god is a deceiver who is not the creator taught by all the Prophets as 'Father' and Creator. God has always been a God of sacrifice even from the first book of the Torah when he commanded Abraham to sacrifice his only son of the PROMISE (Isaac) Genesis 22:2. This was later reflected in the yearly sacrifice of a SPOTLESS LAMB for the atonement of sins (Day of Atonement) which ALL the prophets of God participated in from the tabernacle of Moses to the temple of Solomon in Jerusalem. This ended with the Messiah offering his life as a sin offering (Isaiah 53) However, the Kaaba was never designed for the sacrificial system commanded by the God of Israel-whom Allah falsely claims to be (QS 29:46). There is no proof whatsoever in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms that it was built by Abraham and Ishmael as claimed in QS 2:127 and QS 22:26-27! It's a big lie! This is why Allah's atonement of sins in the pagan Kaaba [al-Tirmidhi, 959] was never through the sacrifice of a spotless lamb but was, and still is, through a pagan stone claimed to have "fallen from heaven" and was white but became black because of the sins of the sons of Adam (al-Tirmidhi 877). Islam is a false Abrahamic faith. Allah is not YAHWEH.

    2. If he is not the God who is BOTH Father and Creator then who is this mysterious Allah of the Qur’an? Can't a false god also claim to be the true God, Creator, all Merciful, Most Gracious etc? Could he be the best of all makereen (deceivers) perhaps? "The great dragon (Satan) was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his ANGELS with him." (Revelation 12:9) The mysterious ANGELIC creature which appeared to Muhammad in the cave of Hira never at any point revealed itself as the Angel Gabriel of the Bible. The angel had pressed Muhammad three times until he thought he was going to die. Muhammad's own testiment thought the angel was demonic. (IBN Ishaq 106, al Tabari vol 6,7071). It doesn't surprise us the people of the scriptures that one of Allah's 99 names is the MOST PROUD (Al-Mutakabbir), and calls on Muslims to do "RIGHTEOUS deeds" through the 5 pillars of Islam after the example of the SERVANT of Allah. Wasn't Satan cast down to earth because he became PROUD on account of his beauty (Ezekiel 28:17)? Muslims may wonder: could Satan and his SERVANTS really desguise themselves as agents of righteousness? Can Satan, who also desires the title of the true God ('the Most High') make people fast, give to charity, dress modestly, keep away from alcohol, premarital sex and worship him (idolatry) as the true God? "And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an ANGEL of light. So it is no surprise if his SERVANTS, also, disguise themselves as servants of RIGHTEOUSNESS. Their end will correspond to their deeds." 2 Corinthians 11:14‭-‬15 Let him who has ears hears! Blessings.

SubhanAllah! The Deen of Islam is growing and growing. The only true religion on the planet. People have nowhere else to go in terms of religion. Can't beat islam, it takes care of all of what you're looking for to live a righteous life. Quran and Sunnah, that's all we need. CONGRATS‼️ May الله keep you steadfast and your feet firm upon the deen! اللهم امين 🤍❤️

non muslims who convert or revert have such an advantage in the fact that we were truly able to see BOTH sides of things and how it can with islam. as a former new - ager, (but never with psychedelics!!!) his perspective is very appreciated. this is why no one should judge anyone's journey. you never know what knowledge and wisdom they can acquire.
