Seen her several times, her voice has always been fantastic, but now she also has a very good stage presence. Before she had a reserved stage presence, very natural for a younger person, she was very concentrated and mostly announced what song she would do next. In the last concerts this year she communicated so well with the audience, was so emotional, genuine and grateful. I think all the audience really felt how much she loved to do the performance.

Also, imagine the pride and delight of the audience, hearing one of their own, who clearly is a real prodigy perform to them, her countrymen. And Norway is small, only five million people. The market is not saturated with performers. She got very famous very quickly in her home country...and soon across the world.

Angelina once said that when she closes her eyes during a performance she goes to her happy place in her mind. This is eight year old Angelina putting on a remarkably mature and professional level performance. Angelina will demonstrate being her age before she sings, but just as she is about to sing she transforms into a seasoned vocalist. As you saw, Angelina does not display any trepidations, fear or anxiety when she’s on stage. She always exudes uncanny confidence and the conviction that she can perform as she expects herself to do so.

There's some video of little Angelina being fitted up with the wireless mic, and some more video of the now big Angelina being wired up in 2022 for the same concert. It's the same sound man. Look around at the audience and you see a lot of the same faces. The early video shows the 8 year old and her mother out and about before the concert, and they seemed to be having a great time. Not work, but a fun day out.

One woman in the audience, with flowers in her hair visibly emotional was a child prodigy herself, in the higher end of the scale even as an adult, but lower now, she knows that the eight year old on stage will spellbound the world. Todays youth need to mature a bit before they can hear how magnificent the voice of Angelina is and will be.

This is one of my favorites. I have the original 45 by Dinah Washington. Angelina follows that, but adds some of her own embellishments. But what’s so amazing is that even at 8 years old, she chooses a voice and timbre that fits the era of this 50’s classic. I don’t know if you watched the extended interview before her singing, but the interviewer can only get one-word responses and smiles from shy Angelina, but when the music starts, she goes into that magic music world she has described, and like flipping a switch, she closes her eyes and is immersed in the music.

She first showed her ability to be a 'vocal chameleon', emulating Billie Holiday when she sang Gloomy Sunday. Compare them and you will think Billie sang both renditions. She does that again with regard to sounding so much like Dinah Washington in this classic.

She is indeed improving incredibly fast: she must be working so hard on her art. As I like to put it, she was always amazing, has gotten more amazing and given that she has about a decade to go before her voice fully matures, she will rise to unimaginable new levels of amazingness :-) She looks so happy and relaxed on stage and in an interview said that she loves to perform and gets energy from the audience. Almost always she shows that emotion. This specific cover is amazing and it never fails to touch me. I know what is coming and still…. Keep on trucking and enjoying your journey!

Don’t you love this girl? She feels like the daughter that you would protect with your life. When she closes her eyes she goes to another realm. These videos of her singing at these early ages are wonderful, and if she stopped singing or lost her voice she has already created a videography that is unsurpassed. The emotion evoked by her is extraordinary. There are certain people like some athletes that were given unworldly gifts. The great driver Aryton Senna said that when he drove he entered a different state. If you watch the classic video of his lap of Monte Carlo you can see what he could do. Angelina does this with music.

All it would take is for her to take care of herself first, to continue loving this and wanting this like she always has, and she will absolutely take care of us just by biproduct of that, in ways like you speak of. I love Angelina and I can't get enough of her, so I'll be there for any Angelina reaction, may others propose what it's gonna be... - instead I would like to introduce you and your channel's subscribers to a new arist, like Angelina she's a child and I dare say a very talented one, she's ten now and knowing how she plays bass (and sings) right now (and learned all of that in merely two years...) and knowing her idols (Tal Wilkenfeld among other greats like Paul McCartney...) I can't even imagine what she'll be doing in 10 years... Her name is Ellen, her parents are Armenian living in Las Vegas, her dad Hovak is a pro guitar player and has a nice home studio... Steve Vai was so impressed with Ellen's bass playing that he invited her to his home studio and gifted her with a signed effect pedal from his collection, there a cute video about that episode on her channel... But of course I'd love to see and hear your reaction to a piece of music and would like to suggest her newest video, only some days old, it's a wonderful cover of The Beatles 'Blackbird', Ellen plays bass and sings, her dad is featuring on guitar and a woman does a basic beat with a stomp kick, I don't know if that's her mom, she has a different name... great video too, and this will only be the beginning to your journey into the world of this charming little angel... enjoy! Amazing reaction, Jeff! We all have to wonder about what she may sound like in the future. It would be insane NOT to imho. Her 1st time in a studio at age 6, and she's now 16, like you said. So everything we've got from her so far has been recorded in those TEN years. Add those ten years to her current age and she will be 26. Still 3 years shy of Whitney Houston when she performed "I Have Nothing" for the first time for instance. It's just crazy to think about really. To me it doesn't really matter what you react to next by her. Actually, if you were to write down all of her performances on the backside of small pieces of paper, spread them out on a table, close your eyes and point your finger randomly at one of them, you'd strike gold every time, not even joking. Maybe you have understood as much already, but if not, you will 😉' Have a great weekend, Jeff, and take care. Love from Norway ♥♥♥

Hi, isn't it extraordinary how soulful Angelina sings this song. It's at the top of my favourites. If I close my eyes, I don't hear an 8-year-old child singing. Angelina's feeling for music is huge even at that age. Where others try to sing songs in such a way that they sound halfway like the original, Angelina brings something like this to the stage. It touches people deep inside. You saw that. 8-year-old children are cute when they sing and you are happy that they enjoy it. Even if it often hurts your ears. And Angelina? She can only be compared to fully trained successful singers. Her age doesn't matter. She can only be compared to adult singers. And then you have to try the big ones. She was born to sing and bring us joy. So far this has worked very well. I'm looking forward to the years to come. Keep enjoying these unusual artists: Angelina, AURORA, Diana, Dimash, Lara Fabian, Pomme, ..... Have fun and Greetings from Germany

This is an incredible performance by any standard. She is completely enveloped in the songs hugging the mic and closing her eyes as if she IS the song. It is mind boggling to think where she will be in 10 years but it's also mind boggling to think of all she has already accomplished which is more than most singers attain in a lifetime. "FEELING GOOD" at 10 years old on stage with a great band might be her best stage performance: kzread.info/dash/bejne/omyfo65mo6qwqJs.html

My "bucket list" post COVID included attending a live concert, and the first opportunity for me was the 7/10/22 Kurbadhagen show where she sang 18 songs, including 3 encores. I can bear witness that she continues to perfect her craft (one reactor once said even her imperfections are perfect) and experiencing her in person tops any concert I have ever witnessed, and I am approaching my eighth decade. She continues to evolve her stage presence and interacts with her band and the audience even during a song. There are lots of phone recordings of this concert on youtube but only a handful have anything approaching good audio. One of the best is Vidar Enerud IMO, and here is a link to the entire concert: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eXxhz9JumKa8dbQ.html

This Mashup with Dinah will convince you of this kzread.info/dash/bejne/dIFsmbSygbS9k7Q.html Absolutely astounding. ♥👣 Do them together if you can. ♥👣 My favorite song of all time. ♥👣 This is to me the most beautiful rendition of this song and to me THE most beautiful performance I have ever witnessed. “When I sing I go to another world. The world is endless. It's like, full of happiness. I love it. It's amazing. And when I am on stage, I don't want to go [leave the stage]. [laughing]. I just want to be on stage" A snippet of Skaylan’s interview of Angelina Jordan (age 12) on Norwegian TV - November 2018 ♥👣 Never have I seen Angelina go so deeply into this world as she does here. She is just immediately in it and I from the first note am there with her! If you could only listen to one Artist for the rest of your life who would it be? That would be Angelina for me. No Doubt about it! ♥ If you only had one song. This would be it! ♥👣

Angelina has always had that magic quality in her voice but you are dead right about the steep improvement curve in her vocal technique over the years. I offer this song as a great illustration. This iconic performance at age is unmatched in the overall atmosphere, but listen to her perform it again a year later on Singapore TV and note her tight delivery. Chills! kzread.info/dash/bejne/p4t7xJulcbKTprg.html Now listen to her a year later again on Little Big Shots UK at age 10 kzread.info/dash/bejne/pqN7xbGliL22idI.html Her vibrato control is off the charts.. I love all three performances. She is amazing!

Hey Jeff. About six or seven years ago, I was introduced to Snarky Puppy and I’ve been a fanatic since. Snarky Puppy led me to finding your reaction videos and I became aware of new music to listen to. Thanks to you and your followers. I happened to find this video and I’d like your reaction to it and would be interested to see what genre you would put it in. It’s the Berklee Indian Ensemble featuring Shankar Mahadevan “5 Piece Band”.

I've seen those performances few years ago. The Billy Holiday cover was absolutely unreal and unbeliveably mature interpretation. And she was the sweetest child ever. Yet listening her now as a teenager, I'm not too impressed. Too much too soon. LA enviroment!? She could be phenomenal ARTist and I fear "they" will mold her into entetainer. If you work with your hands, you are labourer, if you work with hands and intellect, you are craftsman, if you work with hands and intellect and HEART you are an ARTIST. Most of the musicians work with hands and intellect and therefore are entertainers. And she certainly is full of heart.

I don't understand your remarks. You wrote: "Too much too soon". How can this be? Angelina SSD been singing for at least 10 years and in the public arena for the last 8. True, she hasn't sung "childish" songs, but chose instead to cover songs by the great singers of the past. Surely that should tell you that it is she who determines her own future. You wrote: "LA environment!?" and to a degree I think the same. However, whatever we think will make no difference as the USA and in particular Los Angeles is the centre of the music industry. Up to this point I have refrained from commenting upon your remarks that listening to the teenage Angelina you are not impressed, but my curiosity leads me to ask "Why?"

@@peterkoeppl1186 Perhaps this is what you refer to: her performance of I Put a Spell on You. She has said of its meaning to her: “It means love, desperate love! It’s very special, it’s almost voodoo! The original is very nice, and when I scream it is a desperate cry that everyone should love each other!” Clearly she undestands the essence of the song. One can't apply the depth of understanding and the musical insight of a bona fide genius with that of a "normal" child. It's just at such a significantly elevated level to make any comparisons appear ridiculous.

She did such a wonderful job on this performance!!! But she's ONLY 8 years old!!!! She's a baby!!! And that isn't a baby's song. She's being exposed to things that are way outside of her experience. And that - to ME - is CRUELTY!!!! This child is being "forced grown". DON'T LIKE IT!!!! CAN'T LIKE IT!!!!! WON'T LIKE IT!!!!
