I suggest you react to Angelina Jordan "I'm still holding out for you" A totaly different song to the two you have listened to so far. It is a modern song that should have been or may be her first hit single but they were still wanting her to go through school at the time it was recorded; as she was 9 years old, and too young to start a full time professional career at the time. And this song would catapult her in to the charts. Some have speculated that the subject matter could be miss interpreted and the themes were quite adult but no more than Bohemian Rhapsody or I Put A Spell On You. A beautiful performance and so different from everything else she was doing at the time. I think they may re-release it, now she is older and starting her professional career.

Queen loved it so much they gave her the rights to record it and make it her song

I’ve viewed your 3-4 videos on Angelina, not completely in order, but the outcomes are the same, you like other ‘reactors’ and ordinary folks all over the world find Angelina to be utterly spellbinding, a true artist, unique and so genuine and humble. I guess my input is it’s not what she does that’s the most amazing thing, and she does it very, very well, it’s how she makes you feel when she does it, and that is unique, so personal and beyond priceless. I’m a fan of hers for life now, hope I get to see her perform live once before my time is up…. in the meantime I can listen every day to an Angel who touches souls.

I agree about watching her latest video, "Suspicious Minds", and you will have seen almost her full spectrum. Then go back and fill in the blanks, starting with her Norway's Got Talent performances when she was 7-8. Angelina you will find is a musical savant. She hears music in a way that is foreign to most people. She has changed a bit since we saw her as a nine yr.old. One thing is she stands 6'1" now. This her arrangement and she did such a good job that Brian May the lead guitarist for Queen, said they were very impressed with this arrangement and even allowed Angelina to copyright her arrangement. It is funny you mentioned TikTok because my personal favorite performance is on that site. I'll give you the link. It is Angelina's best overall performance to me. I believe it is her true authentic voice that she will have to refine it, but the way it is well that's pretty good.

She's a "different singer" for every song, as you will discover. She has had her own "voices" since birth, not one voice that has changed over time. An 83 year old non-musical person, I first started listening to her when she won NGT, and have continued to follow her every day since then. My favorite vision: as she was born, she stuck out a tiny hand, the delivery nurse put a microphone in it, and she sang a full voice version of "Born Free."

The show was, but all of AGT The Champions performances were recorded in the latter part of Oct 2019, and then went out in Jan/Feb 2020. She had 10 mill views in a week! She certainly landed in USA.

A great early contrast from age 7 is her version of Bang Bang. It’s unreal. Skipping ahead she released a new version of My Funny Valentine on Feb 2022 . Also her release of Yellow Brick Road on AGT at age 13. You have to remember she has a major hand in the arrangement and production of every performance and has from the beginning. I think what seperates her from the fray is that she is truly an artist not only a great vocalist.

Angelina did arrange her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody! In fact, Brian May reached out to her, to tell her how wonderful her version was, and gave her Queen's blessing, to copyright her arrangement. He also said that Freddie would have loved it! Angelina won Norway's Got talent in 2014, at the age of 7! Her B&W cover of 'I put a spell on you,at the age of 9 with Angelina doing her own arrangements, (since she was 7 years old) is just crazy. In this video, the page the gentleman is holding at the beginning, is actually her handwritten notes laying out what she expects from everyone. In studio, they playfully call her the "Little Boss". Only her grandmother is present, other than the studio crew. On the candle she holds up, is Screamin' Jay Hawkins. He wrote it, and performed it originally. Nina Simone later covered it. 😆💕 Angelina has sung barefoot, except for rehearsals, since age 6 in remembrance of an orphan girl near her age that she met on the street in the middle east. The girl was using bathroom scales and weighing people for money. It was cold, she was barefoot, and her feet were scarred. They chatted about their dreams, and she asked Angelina what her dream was. Of course, Angelina said she wanted to be a singer, and sing for the whole world, and asked the girl about her dream. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor, but that was not possible because she had siblings to care for, and she wished Angelina luck in becoming a singing star, and she told Angelina she would pray for her every day. Angelina, on the spot, gave her the sea green boots, her favorites, that she was wearing and told her to never give up on her dreams, called her a “princess” and that she would always remember her. lol, you said she's a different singer to you in this performance than she was in the other one.... lol, just you wait. She is MANY different singers. I agree with the approach of going through her Norway's Got Talent performances and don't miss out on her renditions of Whitney Houston, Adele and Lana Del Reye's Born to Die... With any of these songs but Del Reye's in particular if you've not heard the original listen to it first because Angelina absolutely OWNS it. But then she often owns the songs she sings, performing them better than the original artist. Another little treat that isn't "perfect" but absolutely amazing is to go back to when she was 6.... yes, 6, and singing I Have Nothing. It's really unbelievable a baby has such pipes.

Angelina’s voice and her total being is like an ocean wave or soft summer breeze that takes you in and rushes you to places you have rarely experienced. Your heart rate increases, you find it difficult to catch your breath, chills and shells engulf you. You are now addicted to Angelina Jordan

Angelina is known as the "Girl With 1000 Voices" for a good reason. You've heard 2, so 998 to go. Yes, her vocals have gotten stronger & more controlled over the years, but she seems to have the ability to change her vocals to perfectly match what a song requires. I can't tell you how many times reactors have said "her voice is perfect for this song" as if to say she has a particular type of voice that only fits certain songs. It usually takes hearing 20-30 songs from different eras, styles & genre to realize she has the ability to adjust her voice to any song. I have never seen any vocalist, male or female, with her versatility in my 75 years. Now, at 16 she is the best I've ever seen & I can't imagine what she will sound like in 10 years when her vocal ability will be fully developed. I just hope I'm still here to hear it. Like you, Keith, when she did "MFV", I said that's her best performance. And for showing the many aspects of her voice, I still see that as the best. But what she has done with "Suspicious Minds" is beyond anything she has done before (IMO). When she opened with the bridge of the song with so much volume and richness in her voice, I almost stopped breathing. It is one of the best things I have ever heard musically. I've probably heard it a 100 times now, and it still blows me away each time. The entire performance, including the piano arrangement, is breathe taking, but the opening is other worldly. And I don't think she sounded like anyone but Angelina. This is the voice she will be known for. And it can't happen soon enough for me. A MASTERPIECE!!!

I know I'm very late here, but I had to respond to your comment about how she's "a different singer" at this age than when she was 9. My literal response as I was watching the video was to say, out loud, "She already _was_ a different singer, back then!" By which I mean, what you heard from her at that age (studio version of "I Put a Spell on You") is so different from almost everything else she's ever done, that it really doesn't give a "reliable" picture of what kind of a singer she was back then. I mean, sure, it showcases "some of the things she could do" at that age, but it's not at all representative of "the kind of things she _typically_ did" (at any age!). Of course, I don't blame you for trying to make a comparison based on the only two "data points" you had to go on… but I'm just saying, you are likely to have to significantly alter your perspective on what she was like when she was younger the next time you hear something from when she was younger.🙂 I'll just leave it at that, since you've already posted another AJ reaction ("Suspicious Minds").

She always adds her own twist to the songs she covers, and sometimes its even a completely new song, like you just heard. California Dreaming, Billie Jean and Suspicious Minds are a few that comes to mind, that she just flipped upside down. Not everyone 'gets it' on the first listen, and if its a dear song to you, the changes she does might be too much. But all 3 of these are absolutely brilliant, and good examples of her talent at rearanging songs. My favorite of hers might be 'Stay' by Rihanna, but ask me tomorrow and its probably something else. Chose any song, and you will probably like it. But I will say one thing about Angelina - After hearing a few songs, you might think that you got a grasp of her talent, her voice and her style. Well, you dont. Even with your musical background, you probably need to hear 20-30 of her performances to fully grasp how incredibly talented this young girl is 🌹

This performance has been viewed (not including reactions) over 140 million times on KZread and I say that is very much undervalued. It should be in the billions. Great analysis of how Angelina plays with the melody. Vocal coaches have said she sings around the melody. Angelina has concerts in Norway on July 1, 7 and 10 and can't wait to see videos. Angelina just posted a IG video practicing House of the Rising Sun. OMG Every Angelina angel wants and believes Angelina's music should be promoted. We know her family has requested Angelina be allowed as normal a childhood as possible and should finish her schooling. I think that is very wise. I like to believe her family is working with Republic Records on a promotion strategy, to fully promote her while at the same time not to overwhelm Angelina. We don't want, what has happened to so many, her to shoot up in popularity only to have her star burn out. Angelina is a rare talent. I like to believe she is a once in forever musical artist and I put my faith in her loving family to know when the time is right to allow Republic to fully promote her. Our patience will be greatly rewarded.

I was blown away, and her performance launched me on a magical journey of discovery that continues to this day. I have listened to her every day now for two and a half years. There are 3 AMAZING artists that are very easy to fall into a deep rabbit hole to. PMJ (Haley Reinhart and Morgan James), Angelina Jordan, and Dimash Kudaibergen.
