Replace your 30 amp plug with a RV smart plug. They make a better contact less chance of electrical arcing.

One of those hand trucks from Costco makes moving large and heavy items much easier. Much better than the one you rent from U-Haul.

that sounds like a good investment for moving day!

both the cord end has weak connections, what you are seeing is heat that has been created from the loose connections. Please Replace as soon as you get to your new location!! I would suggest that you get an electrician to check the "load" of your tiny home. The connection you have may be a bit too small in capacity for what you have. Safe Travels!!

when we have the electrician set up the RV hook up we will have them check out a few things in the tiny...like the plug and why the overhead lights stopped working about 2 years ago 🙄 It will be nice to get those things addressed!

Lots of memories at good old Swan Lake 😍 ...now onto our Florida Adventure!

Those plug-ins are notorious for that burning up just the weight of the cord will actually cause it to slightly be like a loose connection , these RV cords are really not meant for full-time use ,You need to change it to a marine plug-in.

thats the neat thing about a tiny house- it can be pulled by a heavy duty truck

It was a stressful few days! but it had to be done for the next chapter to begin 😊

Looking at the frame of that, and knowing Florida, you should clean it well, let dry, and periodically spray fluid film on it.

drawing to much power on that plug that is only 50 amps not like a house of 200 amp service.

If they were drawing too much power, the 50 amp breaker would trip , the RV cords are really not meant for full-time use. You’re better off, changing it to a marine plug it’s a better option than an RV plug, you would be better off having an electrician install an actual disconnect and hardwire everything in

thats another reason we may move some of the appliances out of the Tiny House- more space and less strain on the electrical system

Oh my soul… I would have found someone to haul it in one piece. God just look at what you paid for a uhaul? So what if you needed to fix something or buy a new appliance which is very unlikely. Whats the difference really, transport using uhaul where appliances are not bolted down or just leave them in place “bolted down” in the tiny home. Anyway… just hoping you guys are living not worrying about all the other crap too much.

we dont mind a bit of extra work to ensure that everything arrives safely...and we do tend to be overly cautious about things 😂😂 There was no way to bolt them down in the tiny house without doing damage to the new floors and or walls...but we may live to regret that when we do the final move 🙈 we will see!

we dont really know- the title says 11,500 lbs, but thats the title for the industrial flatbed trailer & it was never weighed after we finished the build...so its a mystery
