I suggest labeling all your trains "choo choo" and all trucks "vroom vroom" and all boats "splish splash" can't get confused that way

I once accidentally duplicated roughly 400 trains on a map with only one depot. The chaos was beautiful. I sat back and watched the traffic jam for a few hours. The amazing part is that it did eventually clear and nothing got permanently stuck.

Near Houston, you've got both a brick and a machinery factory. With the bricks, you would train them down through McAllen to Jacksonville. On the way back you can take the planks up to the machinery factory. That factory is close to the steel one which is also very close to both coal and iron mines. To finish the line you would truck the finished product over to Houston.

massive respect to james for that geography lesson. i could name sydney, melbourne, and perth and that’s about it

You can take goods to McAllen and bring back Mail. They both go in boxcards.

It would be easier to remember acronyms if you didn't call trucks cargo trucks. There is no such thing as a non cargo truck.

Flabaliki, tips and tricks coming your way! If you click on the "Road Vehicle x" text and shift click to another "Road Vehicle y" text then it will multi select all inbetween, rather than having to individually click each vehicle.

Neat. Too bad there's ppl asking for faster uploads. It's not quantity that matters, it's quality.

Flabaliki: I'm an expert at managing transportation networks. This game is easy. Also Flabaliki: pEdeSTriaN cAR

Trains (T), Ship (S), Road (R), Tram (Tr), and then followed by Cargo (C) or Passenger (P) is how I do mine. TP - Phx > Sac would be my passenger train line from Phoenix to Sacramento. RP - a bus line, RC - a cargo line delivering fuel to a city for instance. "(what vehicle type is it)(what does it carry) - Where does it go/what's its purpose."

Thank you for posting so fast Flabaliki.As I said in previous comments,your way of playing Transport Fever 2 is pretty unique.So with this in mind I started doing unique things in the game and upload it on my channel.I focus more on cinematics and decorating building/unique things.I would really appreciate if you have a look and let me know what you think.Regards

You mentioned having a Dallas like airport. Please no. Every flight I’ve ever taken through Dallas has been delayed HOURS. I refuse to ever fly though Dallas anymore. I know it’s just a game but I’m having flashbacks. Dallas, while a lovely city, has the worst airport in the US.

James gets so excited for Surprise. In AZ it's a pretty plain city where most of the people that live there are retired.

Not quite a year, and I still enjoy this LP. :D

I am like forever late but Denver looks like San Francisco with all of the hills!! Trolleys are a big there too!

Service city/town to city/town with a train or bus route to remove inter-city/town traffic. Will fix a lot of your issues not to mention more frequent routes between cities for Pax as they relay on speed of travel. But hey ho!!

Try calling trucks and busses “Cars”. Then you can have CC (Cargo Car) for trucks, and PC (Passenger Car) for busses, and trams I guess.

"Surprise" is a suburb of phoenix. 5:42.

for cargo i use "frieght" for trains, "shipping" for ships, and "delivery" for trucks. for passengers i use bus, ferry, stagecoach

I'd personally have more trains do less distance. For example, you could have a train go from Jacksonville to McAllen. That way passengers aren't stuck on the train for the entire journey.

From McAllen up you could do the passenger ferries. Or connect Denver and McAllen with ferries too.

@Flabaliki hey flabs you don't need to click the check all box to replace or modify all vehicles, just click the replace or modify icon without anything selected and it will automatically replace all vehicles on that line. only if you want specific vehicles you can check the one you want Also, don't use pgup and pgdwn to raise and lower your tracks, use M and N keys - they raise and lower it from the middle point which is easier when creating bridges and tunnels. pgup and pgdwn raise and lower at the end point. keep that in mind

Bring bricks to Mcallen and Jacksonville then bring both planks and steel to that machine factory since they both can be loaded on flat cars you might need to add some more trains to the ore line, a rate of 800 on the ore line will produce 200 steel. You can also bring silver over to produce goods down the Denver line if you extend it a little aswell

The yellow truck line is actually doing a stupid loop into town and creating a trafic jam entering the bridge

A good naming system I use is one I borrowed from the transport fever subreddit P = passenger rail B = bus F = freight rail A = passenger air T = truck TA = Tram AF = air freight S = ship, I rarely use ship routes so I combine the freight and passenger, only differentiating via name

I thought there were train cars that let you transport everything, the ones that say "all". That way you could do a line McAllen-Jacksonville that takes bricks and brings goods. I still don't know fully how this game works, it's the first series of Transport fever that I watch, so maybe I am wrong.

Can you do first person rides on some of your routes?

Is cities skylines coming back soon?

Or you can do C RR for rail road?

i put one just outside the station on departure tracks. this tells the next train immediately when the platform is clear

Electric trams should be fine going uphill. I watched in a documentary about trams, yes, I got free time.

You didn't need a seperate set of platforms in Jacksonville for the Denver train

Try RF - Road Freight RP - Road Pass TF - Train Freight AF - Air Freight TR - Tram WF - Water etc etc

Since you can filter, there's no need to add the vehicle type to the name. I like this simple naming scheme inspired by Stealth: In the vicinity of Town A, delivery of fuel to Town B: ABC Fuel/BCD Near Town A, delivery of grain to food processing: ABC Grain/Food

This is a very short episode! Mabe make the next shorter or break it up into a few parts so there is not as much to watch in one sitting. But awsome job and can't wait for planes on this map!

NEED TO DELIVER MORE TO CITIES SO THEY GROW!! Check what the cities needs and deliver to them so the people are happy, it makes your lines more productive if they have an end goal to provide services to cities.
