Here's my naming system in case somebody needs one: For cargo lines I use: Vehicle M/D Town Product Number CT for Cargo Trains TR for TRucks CS for Cargo Ships CA for Cargo Airplanes M stands for Manufacturing (so transporting materials between factories) and D stands for Delivery (for lines between factories and cities) If there's more than one line that does the same thing then I add a number at the end. Passengers services are different: For trains and planes I just use numbers, like PT1, PA2, etc. (I just make sure the colours are different) For trams and buses I use BU Town Number (I don't really need to separate tram and bus line names) Hope some of you find this helpful!

In your transport hub, if you'd put cargo platforms in the train station you wouldn't of had to do all that extra work you did to conect, as the station would accept goods, therefore let them pass though it. Also a tip for you. when you do your short cut cannal put 2 roads down just over the width, and the lengh , that you need the cannal to be. Then teraform, then you'll get straight sides to the cannal, then you can remove the roads and hey pressto a nice looking, tidy cannal.

when you say "aqueduct of a train line", that's actually called a "viaduct"

I've been waiting for this for so long!

In real life, ships are by far the most efficient mode of transportation. I don’t know how it is in the game, but in terms of fuel usage, boats are the most efficient, followed by trains. Unlike trains though, there’s practically no infrastructure to maintain. Long distances boats will always be the best, even if it’s not the fastest

Sadly in Real Life pollution is a big thing, iirc the 15 largest Cargo Ships produce more CO² than the entirety of Cars do

Please remove the windy tunnel and make the straight tunnel for the connection between the dock and log mill your main connection.

For cargo, I usually do name of the destination city and what is being moved, if mire than one I put a slash. For passenger the names of the terminals with a dash in the middle. I don’t write the mode of transport because it’s always possible to sort

I came up with a pretty good naming system. You use te first letter of the transport method and then put P(passenger) or C(cargo) behind it. [TP] train passenger [TC] train cargo And so on

For the naming system Passenger or Cargo indicated with P and C Vehicle type If cargo, what item. If more than one, use forward slashes. The name of the cities at the terminus stations. If it is a loop, write the major cities on the loop. Use a number So the Jacksonville Midland Train is P - Train Jacksonville-Midland 1 And the Logs and Steel Boat would be C - Ship Logs/Steel Denver-Midland 1

Okay, some of y'all need a lesson in naming, apparently. Here's what mine currently look like: [FR Steel] Orleton Coal [FT Mainline] Orleton-Savvick So first off, the square bracket. There's a purpose. Since all of your lines will have that square bracket, and symbols get sorted above letters, you'll just be able to quickly scroll to the bottom of the line manager, even when you have a lot of lines in view, to find your new lines as you add them. Helpful when you're adding several lines at once. Next, the abbreviations. So F for freight, P for passenger, R for road, T for train, S for ship, and B for bus/trams. I'll come back to this. Next, in my always-changing organisation, I've started putting the production line. So coal is in the production line of steel, in the above example, so I'd put that next. If it was a grain truck, I'd put [FR Food]. So next I have the general town area the production line is in, or the origin-destination. This all really helps with organisation in the line manager. Finally, I'll have the actual product being shipped, if its shipping a specific product, followed by a number in case of multiple lines doing the same run. Additionally, distribution trucks for in town. Those are organised as such: [FR Dist] Orleton Fuel All this should make it that much easier to find exactly what you're looking for in either the line or vehicle manager, upgrading vehicles, changing what a line can pick up, what have you. Organisation is pretty key to having a decent time in this game.

Why are you settinh up planks when you already are making steel and you have a plant for goods that needs plastics and steel, so it would have been easier bc you already have a rail road.

you don't need such a big bridge because you can snap some of sections to ground that don't need to bridge over anything it would also allow the trains to travel faster as well

Those crossover signal by roads doesn't work the way you did there. There is an actual activation point for the crossover to close a bit further on the track. You can see it happening if you drag the signal across the track and pay attention to the crossover. Found this out by accident myself.

The transport is all accurate for 1901. Including electric trams and cars. Only modern part is how many there are on the road. It would still have predominantly been horse drawn carriages and fewer private cars. First electric tram was in 1880, which puts 1901 21 years later. Early cars were steam powered (1769 was the first full scale self-propelled vehicle/car) then 1881 saw the first electric powered car (though they didn't fully catch on back then), and by the 1890s there were gasoline and diesel fuelled cars (I gave a broader date as it depends where in the world you're talking about whereas the other two were world firsts). And the ships he is using are steam powered paddle boats. Which again are totally in-keeping with the 1901 date.

I'm wondering this too, no other trains on the track and definitely not that close together, and no crossovers. I only got the game 3 days ago so new too 🤣 there's loads I don't understand yet

He has to take breaks just like everyone else! This is his job. Imagine never being able to take a holiday from your job. That's what you are expecting him to do by asking him not to stop posting. In order to have enough videos to set to automatically release he has to work overtime in a short period of time, so that's not really possible for him either - he shouldn't have to overwork just so he can take a break from his normal level of work.

I’ve tried console cities skylines, it’s terrible, at least it was free. I’ll actually buy it for free so I have mods.
