I apologise if you had already read my comment, but I decided to post it again because A E S T H E T I C S. There is a brilliant selection of Scandinavian houses on the workshop. Especially Spinn's Lund houses, which are typical of Southern Sweden. Akyhne has a collection of classic Danish/Scandinavian 80's single level homes. Ullastrumpan has also made high density building akin to Stockholm's inner city. Andrii Kit has a collection of Old Copenhagen harbour houses, which are the same style of houses built during Danish ownership of Blekinge. Then obviously the modern housing for newer development like "The Wave" in Vejle

European building theme dont have new buildings for low res. For the suburbs you should use european suburbia

Maybe stop terraforming as much as you do and build around the landscape. Thats why European cities tend to have no grid. Its not just free flowing because it looks nice, its because roads follow the contourings.

@@Setetoto Spanish towns are quite grid-oriented. But I can only really speak for the UK as that's where I live.

Trees only increase that chance of them catching on fire. Trucks don't come out until a residence is on fire. You need fire choppers before you make a forest.

You should put more mix use buildings. Like mixing commercial and residential in true European fashion!

Not gonna lie, I'm kind of sad you don't want colorful trees, maybe just in the Garden-Palace-Park. Also, decorated roundabouts it's very European, especially really big roundabouts with statues and other things

You can use the regular 2 lane basic road and busses will go enough out to the side when they stop and allow cars to pass. EDIT: Start using Avanyas European suburbia theme! You already got it in the game. Those are the real european low density buildings you are looking for!

Since you're using so many roundabouts there's a roundabout road on the workshop, it's 2 lane and it's got no crossings and no lane markings

Ima leave this feedback again in case you missed it: Have your main ferry port at the end of the freeway as it is barely used by any traffic atm so I think it would be good to see cars going that way to access the port. Plus there's a lot of room on that side too.

Nice episode as always! Definitely play around with those interchanges and highways... keep planning for future expansion, too, and with the islands out far away. Also be sure to make more highway connections and train connections. As far as traffic goes, I would add multiple lanes to the problem roads all the way. Keeping them narrow though is also good, though.

I like it when you mess up, makes me judge my own game play a little less 😂

I got the European content creator pack and it's a life changer, I now use it for every city because it looks so much more realistic than the vanilla houses because it's just normal colours

*You never want the "enter intersection" for roads going into the roundabout.* It will lock up with more traffic. The cars you saw stopping was because of the give way sign (which is how it should be). The game stops cars quite far in advance on give way signs, which is why it looked like the cars were stopping for no reason. If there are no cars which take priority in the roundabout, cars will enter without stopping even when "enter intersection" is not set.

James you should try and recreate 'The Magic Roundabout" which is a 5 way roundabout in Swindon UK!! It's mental!!

When making roundabouts, don't make them just one lane

Npc 14 Colossal Order is from Finland. Look at the buildings in Helsinki, Stockholm, and other large Swedish and Finnish cities. The buildings look like that.

You should have your dense down town area on the island that the highway and train lines stop at so it would have direct hwy access

It’d be really cool if you used a Diverging Diamond intersection somewhere. They just look really interesting. Maybe try to use as many diff kinds of intersections as possible? 👀

u should name that park little Holland and fill it up with tullips.

I would really love it if u rename the Liberal arts school, districts, industrial areas, and park areas... A nice name for the Liberal arts school is Skargard Polytechnic College and u can even put the name in Swedish.

great looking city but using some small or large 4 lane arterials for your main roads should help your traffic flow

You should have a thin park between the high density residential you just built and the high density you plan to build out, like a soft barrier

Most of the intersections you are creating make sense from a right-hand drive point of view, but are rather dubious from a left-hand drive point of view. Like at 11:21. It would make sense to come up from the opposite side of the road (where the tree is) in a left-hand drive scenario. :)

All buildings are not the same theme because of you getting distracted every time :)) You were slowly changing all the low-density stuff to high density, you got distracted and the change never ended. Please don't forget it. :)))

He knows they are low density and wants to keep them low density. What he needs to do is use theme manager to make a theme that has the European and European Suburbia buildings.
