This video right here is everything! Today is my first day of 2.5mg. I did Trulicity and Phetermine, I was constantly sick but I did lose body fat and about 20lbs. But I recently gained 7... So I am happy to here this, I have insulin resistance and exercise and all that junk doesn't work, diets, working out the norm.

I am on Monjaro. I am 80 and have metastatic breast cancer. The cancer drugs were causing me to gain weight and I was already 35 lbs over weight. My BMI was 33 and I knew I needed to do something. I am at week 2 + 5 days and have lost 8 lbs. I am hoping for a 10 lb loss for the month. I am eating 1000 - 1200 calories a day. However am not very active due to the cancer meds I am on that reduce my metabolism, cause insomnia and make be fatigued. Initially I needed to lose a total of 44 lbs. so I will be looking to lose 34 more after a 10 lb weight loss. He doctor told me this would probably take 5 to 6 months due to my age and the cancer. I love your posts.

Also, , the thought of not wanting/craving the "junk" would be so liberating!!! Hope that happens for me too!

I literally got a lump in my throat at the end of your video when you stated how “freeing” it is not to even want the cheat stuff… actually most of everything you discussed here I can relate to! I’ve only been on this shot for 5 days now and I’ve lost 6.8 pounds on the 2.5 shot. This is insane to me!!! Knowing how HARD I would have had to work in the past for that many pounds… My goal is to get off some of the medications I take (I take A LOT!).. I have multiple autoimmune disorders on top of borderline T2D. I truly believe I have insulin/hormonal imbalances in my body… and I am believing Mounjaro is my answer! I just PRAY my insurance continues to pay for it! It only cost me $25 for this first script without any coupon etc. I’ve heard where others their insurance would pay for it then suddenly stop or only cover half etc. what a sick joke that would be! To find something that frees you from weight gain, cravings and all that goes with it… thing yank it back… NOT COOL! I’m soooo very happy for you!!! Phentermine has been around for 20+ plus years. If you're stopping it you will see changes with appetite and mind set on cravings. You are doing great on your weight loss journey. Keep it up. 😊

The hope is that the Mounjaro has fully kicked in and stopping the phentermine wont affect me that much, so far so good!

Thank you for this... I am trying to get up my courage to ask the doc for a prescription for Monjaro but had a lot of doubts and worried about the side effects. It seems like you are saying that the side effects are not good... but not debilitating. You are still able to exercise and go around and live a fairly normal life. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve felt really good on the 2.5. It’s also cut down my depression and anxiety 3/4 of what it was…an unexpected surprise. My cost is $500. I’ll do whatever I have to until it’s covered. I doubt I’ll go over the 5. I’m eating fairly simply with a few meals on the heavier side.

Great job Brittany. I couldn’t get the Mounjaro at my pharmacy 2 weeks ago because I didn’t have the coupon activated before. My doctor actually gave me Saxenda to try. Only bad thing is it’s daily but after these 2 sticks run out she is going to try Ozempic that she can get discounted since my insurance won’t cover for weight loss. I did the Phentermine also by itself and lost 2.4 pounds the 1st week.

That’s awesome about the phentermine! I really hope they approve Mounjaro for weight loss soon so all these problems can be behind us!

What do you think of taking Mounjaro and then having a tummy tuck? I have my tt scheduled in may but I haven’t done my blood panel yet. Do you think Mounjaro would affect my blood panel? Thank you.

How can you get Manjaro if you are not diabetic but overweight. Do you have any coupons?

Unfortunately it’s not something you can share. It’s activated to you, through your pharmacy. So each one is only good for one patient.

My first month on 2.5 I had plenty of diarrhea but now on second month 5mg it’s now some constipation and some diarrhea. It’s rough being constipated. And my hunger is kinda back too

I’m starting tomorrow and I’m so scared. I’ve had the prescription for a couple of months but have been putting it off I’m so nervous. Also the coupon ends in June so that’s got me thinking will I lose weight from now till then? Is it worth it???

For the gas and heartburn symptoms, I've been taking Gas-X & Pepcid. It's been helping a lot!

I have been on Mounjaro for 5 months. I was on 2.5, then 5,then 7.5, and my 10 is on its way from our mail order pharmacy. I started at 247 lbs and have lost a total of 5 lbs. I don't understand why it's working for everyone else but not me. I am type 2 diabetic and my fasting blood sugars are much improved. But weight loss no. I have no appetite from when I get up until around 4pm and then I can't seem to get full. I can't exercise much as I am disabled and walk with a cane. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The first month 2.5 did not curb my appetite. I just did my first dose of 5mg 2 days ago and just the smell of food makes me sick. I do have bad indigestion for a couple days after injection day but that's about all.

Question - have you been eating the same diet as before you started - meaning low carb? Just curious? I’ve done low carb for a few months, and some weight loss supplements and had hardly any loss. I’m hoping that the mounjaro helps my blood sugar and that will be the difference. I’m restraining from weighing myself daily. Going to weigh every Monday morning! I’m on week one!

No, I have definitely altered my eating habits. I don’t crave anything really ever, so it’s a lot easier for me to stick to healthy food

$943 for mine 😩 getting hit hard with the symptoms. Worth it though. 😮😂 OH Aaryn Williams that’s the reason I ended up buying it!

Question: is this medication for more weight loss than say 10 lbs? I want to lose 10 lbs before my January 24 2023 tummy tuck… is that possible without medication?

I definitely think you could lose 10 pounds in almost 2 months! You seem to be so healthy already!

I lost 28 pounds with Semaglutide. I did a DEXA Scan about 6 months before. Lost some weight without Semaglutide, then lost a lot of weight after 6 weeks on Semaglutide. The DEXA Scan showed I lost 18 pounds of lean mass and 10 pounds of fat. I was weight lifting beftth Semaglutide. So, not eating much will also make you lose muscle. I will start nakysure I eat enough protein.

Congratulations on the great results! Can I ask how much you have lost total from before the surgery to now?

Your weight loss is great! I just started Mounjaro 2.5, day 4, no weight loss. I’m T2 diabetic. I don’t care to add phentermine

Being on Phentermine in addition to Mounjaro isn’t quite the same as being on the Mojarro alone for weight loss. While I admire your journey, I felt like it’s not really exactly what most people are doing when they’re strictly on the Mounjaro without an additional medication for weight loss . I don’t think it reflects everyone else’s journey on Mounjaro alone.

I was only on phentermine for 6 weeks, and have been on Mounjaro for close to a year now. The point of the phen in the beginning was to jump start things, since my doctor mentioned that Mounjaro can take a bit to kick in. But the majority of my journey has been Mounjaro alone ☺️

I am also paying over $500. My insurance will not cover it. BCBS sucks.

That diarrhea was probably from the crappy carbs.
