Great tips. Id definitely say strength training is important to maintain muscle tone. I didnt even have the mental space to exercise when i started MJ. But now that i have lost about 60lbs, and feel so much better physically and mentally, i am starting to exercise. Im just trying not to beat myself up for not doing it from the beginning. I was doing the best that i could. 😊

Brittany, your vlogs are much appreciated & they’ve been invaluable in helping me thru the MOUNJARO process to successfully treat my diabetes. I feel guilty that I don’t see any way to pay you on-line for your services, unless I’m missing something & if so, let us all know. Worst case favorite charity donation? I’ve certainly shelled out a lot of money & copay dollars for my diabetes treatment over the years to an army of family doctors, endocrinologists, cardiologists, opticians, dieticians, support groups, and weight control clinics & programs. No reason I shouldn’t pay you too.

For me, I have lost 59 lbs in 10 weeks, but I think I've lost so much weight so fast because I was eating 4000 calories a day like literally eating myself to death. And now I'm eating 1000 to 1200 calories It only makes sense that I lost so much weight so fast. I am so grateful for this medication. I'm just worried when my insurance stops paying for it. I'm gonna have to pay out of pocket and it is very expensive.

I have spinal damage so I can not exercise enough to make a difference, I still do it, but what I want to say is my grandma taught me that using a scrub brush in the shower and using a clean healthy oil, like avocado or coconut, or even coca butter, after the shower and before you dry your skin, keeps your skin soft, elastic and tight, (I never had stretch marks after either pregnancy of my very large baby boys) so it is especially crucial when you are losing weight, so you don't get the saggy skin, and don't rush the weight loss, the faster you lose the wight the more saggy skin you will have because it doesn't have enough time to shrink together with the loss of fat volume from inside. The slower you lose it, the better for you and the lower chances of gaining it back,

WATER 💦 This is a thing for me right now! I am taking a compounded Mounjaro, week 2 on 5. I am waking up with a racing heart. Now, I have had this in the past and have had it checked out with extensive testing, doctors “don’t know why” well, I do now. It’s dehydration and this is how my body deals with it. I have never been much of a drinker of anything. I don’t drink coffee, tea, cow’s milk. I am never thirsty. My mom, aunt, and grandma are the same way. For years with the onset of menopause I’ve had dry skin. When I started taking M, I tried to drink more but was lucky to have one 16.9oz bottle a day. There are studies that show these GLP1 drugs inhibit water intake. I believe I’ve been suffering for years with a low level of chronic dehydration and my body could basically handle it. Dry skin was my worst symptom. But, with this 5mg injection, it has caught up with me. I wake up at 2:30 with my heart racing at 145 bpm. Typically I would drink water and diluted pickle juice which was my go to for electrolytes and it would go back to normal. But even drinking 60oz water (I’m 5’2, 160) is not enough. So, I’m pushing to get to 95oz as I do think it’s been a chronic condition. Drink your water! 🙏

Same. I took my first shot 2 weeks ago on Tuesday, lost 7 pounds in a week because I had to force myself to eat. I hated how it makes my heart race and I feel SO DRAINED. I didn't take my 2nd dose this past Tuesday. I don't know what to do. I also had my period the week I started so that made it worse. My periods are horrible anyway. I was so happy to be losing weight but I can't work feeling like that. 😕

Thank you for that. One thing that doesn’t seem to be addressed anywhere is the side effect profile. For example, do the initial side effects go away after time or do they reinitiate with each injection? I had a great deal of diarrhea and that seems to have subsided after a few days. But there were other discomfort that I certainly don’t want to have to go through upon my next weekly injection.

I just saw some drs who run an obesity clinic and they said they DO NOT prescribe pre loaded pens. They believe there is too much medication in the preloads which is causing the side effects. They dose on the low end and increase if needed. Think about it. Most medication is prescribed for the individual user , not a one size fits all. Maybe you are not tolerating that high of a dose.

My doctor won’t prescribe it for me because she doesn’t know enough about long term effects. Any ideas on how to work around this?

These GLP meds have been studied for over 30 years and diabetics use them long-term without adverse effects. The FDA has approved Tirzepatide for safe weight loss. Your doctor is not informed. Find one who is knowledgeable in these medications & obesity medicine!

I have been on MJ since march 17, 2024, I’ve only lost 10 lbs. I go to the gym 3 times a week, I am trying to eat as much protein as I can, I drink lots of water but the weight is not coming off. Inches are coming off slowly. Getting frustrated! My blood work is great, I’m off metformin. So what am I doing wrong??

It is not correct to eact as much protein as you can because this would be the reason of not loosing weight as it should be. Most adults need around 0.75g of protein per kilo of body weight per day (for the average woman, this is 45g, or 55g for men).

Your doctor have a good reason why they are increasing the dose such as under controlled blood sugar or undesirable BMI. Its not a choice because they just felt like doing it.

Absolutely. Titrating up can be difficult for sure. But it’s not the same for everyone, and if you do it correctly can be minimized. I would do it a thousand times over!!

Smelling an alcohol wipe or ginger chews will help nausea. Also nausea often signals that you need to intake some calories

You actually need more fiber to stop the diarrhea or it’s from a certain food you are eating like maybe broccoli

Very proud that you have lost 80 pounds but I have to tell you that you most likely gain it all back plus some extra fat unless you plan to do this the rest of your life. The reason is that Mounjaro and Ozempic damage your metabolism because you will also loose about 40%of your muscle tone. So when you come off of this, you will gain it all back. The only way to avoid that is to do weight training at the gym. Build up your muscle and clean up your diet. Get rid of the processed white carbs in your life and work out 4-5 days a week and push yourself. And drop the shots. I know this from my own experience and I know several people who have had bowel blockages and needed surgery to correct the damage that Mounjaro caused. So be careful, work out, wean off the shots, save the money, and get a killer body. I did this and lost 50 bounds without medication. And I am 70 years old and have the body of someone half my age. It's the easiest thing I have ever done and the most fun I have ever had. Remember, muscles are sexy on everyone, not just guys.

What makes you think everyone is the same? Sure, working out and a healthy diet is important. Nobody has to train at the gym. You can exercise anywhere. Are you trying to sell gym memberships?

It's a peptide, and if you change the way you eat and are weight training this peptide kick starts the process but the weight will stay off when you transition off when doing it correctly-this lady is doing it right. Watch Dr Tyna, she explains all of this... what you are saying isn't 100% correct. Don't scare people off with inaccurate information. Some people just need a little help to get going.

Losing 80 pounds in a very short period of time, I would think it would stress on your heart. A. Typical 12.or 13.year old weighs 80 lbs. This is like losing as much weight as one whole person . Hocus-pocus ? I knew a very heavy person, years ago that lost a tremendous amount of weight in a very short period of time. They didn't have ozempic or wagovy drugs then. About two months later, he died of a massive heart attack. Maybe too much weight off too soon killed him? I question losing too much weight off too soon being hazardous to ones.heath no.matter how one loses it. It doesn't have to.from Ozempic. Complete starvation as well and other diet resources that are extreme that can cause death.

Um.......this person may have had other medical issues (e.g. coronary artery disease) .............meaning the weight loss did not kill him. Losing 80 pounds over a year and a half is not extreme rapid weight loss.
