Good on you Captain Blair. As a local I appreciate the efforts to save our lagoon.

I hope you guys can make more progress than we are down here in Flamingo. Its a shame what is happening to our waters, but until people start dying nobody seems to care.

i have seen that area change so much and obviously not for the better. south of the biolab ramp used to be gin clear water and miles of thick healthy grass (heck, all of the ML used to be like that). now it's coffee stained, the grass is gone and i can't see the bottom in 3" of water. on the upside when i was out there a month ago, the conditions were as i just described but the trout bite was bananas on the edge of the WT flat. came across lots of black drum as well. only problem was, i only realized i was on the them when i literally was on top of them (no tailing and no boils)....frustrating for sure. if i'm not mistaken gov. desantis is working on restoring the beating pulse of the fla waterways....it's a start but it will take time and i don't know how much we have left. anyways, some days are just fishing and not catching. wild guess, but it kinda looks like you were fishing the whales tale area?

Great video Blair! My parents live in Rockledge and I come down to fish the lagoon several times a year. Something really needs to be done to clean up the lagoon and fast. I live in Maryland and the same thing happened up here on the Chesapeake Bay and it is finally starting to change a little for the better. I'm looking to move to Brevard County in about 18 Months and hope to be able to do my part in cleaning up the lagoon.

Our project will definitely provide some help. I don't know if it is the cure but it will help with water quality and grass growth.

Yup and the red tide on the west coast is devastating the fishery’s along the entire coast! This nonsense needs to end before there is no coming back from it

This weekend in Tampa Bay they are doing oyster stuff.

If people would stop using Fertilizer on there lawns would be a Great Help to the Problem but as humans we have to show who can have the most greenish lawn on the street...Pure Foolishness !
