Wild Snook Ride! (Wade Fishing Indian River)

Спорт

This was my third time wade fishing the Indian River in Stuart, Florida. My buddy Ryan and I went on a snook ride, in and out of the mangroves. This was a little different than the snook fishing around docks, and was a little more challenging. We caught a handful of Snook and ended the day with a hot trout bite, all on DOA cal's.

    i love how you put together these videos! I was just in south florida for my first time recently and couldn't catch a single snook... One of my subs commented and said we should have fished together. We're thinking about heading down again in the next month or so, and i'd love to go fishing and make some videos with you. I think we could put together some awesome episodes, get some cool camera work, and tell some epic stories.

    awesome video! I live i stuart and there are some giant snooks which can be crazy on light tackle. Im still trying to catch a 30 plus on my 1000 with 6 pound mono but everytime i get close the snook says nope and pulls the hook or diives into a dock. Tons of fun though!

    Great fight and video. Fun to watch. Not a criticism just a question. Are you touching the gills on those fish? Is that a good way to land them? It keeps your hands away from teeth and hooks at least.

  • @LandsharkOutdoors

    @LandsharkOutdoors

    7 жыл бұрын

    It looks like we touching the gills,but I have my hand in the gill slot just outside their gills. Most people are afraid to hold snook this way, but if you know what you are doing it gives you the best leverage and does not harm the fish.

    No, not back off the drag if you're near structure! I understand going slack when you're line is caught on something but if you applied more pressure on the fish he wouldn't of ran you so deep in there 3 times

  • @LandsharkOutdoors

    @LandsharkOutdoors

    7 жыл бұрын

    In certain situations you are correct!, but when fishing 20b leader and 10b braid near structure its best to finesse them out rather than try to horse them out.
