More snoopy streamliner testing at Lancaster Salt Ayre 29th July 2023

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Quick vid showing the progress of the bike and how testing is going. Very please that the lid attachment now seems to be sorted. 10 miles in 20:04 = a tad under 30mph.

It would be awesome to get a full build brake down video, of how and why you did certain things

Well done! I am pleased to see that the spring-loaded luggage clips worked to secure the top. 🙂

Very impressive. Would be interesting to see the landing gear implementation in detail. I wonder if the landing gear would allow it to be rideable in city traffic, not only on a race track. The luggage clips are neat, although if one needs to gets out quickly might be frustrating? Also... didn't it have a black nose cone at some point? :)

my takeaway is that by introducing that aerodynamic you have basically doubled cycling speed from 15 - 30 mph. amazing. cant wait for the sodium-ion version

In Australia (primarily South Australia) there is a competition using these “trikes” and racing them around a race track or sometimes just closed off roads against other teams. There are different Categories based on age such as primary school, middle school, high school, and different, post high school grades.

That looks really fast! What's it like for temperature inside it - are you going to increase the ventilation with a naca duct or similar?

Definitely a pocket rocket. 36 mph at 177 bpm, that's great. I put a partial carbon fairing on a Cruzbike V20 and can reach 32 mph at 188 bpm flat/no wind, for me that is the limit cause I am spun out. You seem to be able to sustain 26-28 mph with ease. Is your steerer tube straight up and down or does it have some rake to it?

Thanks for kind comments (on this and my other car park testing video). You get a better idea of speed / power / HR on the latest video I've put up showing BHPC racing at Darley Moor - kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKaj2JSqibm_XcY.html Also see my Instagram russellbridge77 for details of the bike build inc geometry. It's -2 degree steerer tube with 65mm offset to give 56mm of trail.

Not in current configuration because the tiller would clash with the landing gear lever

@@russellbridge A few weeks ago I had an idea about the cranks in such a narrow space (which I immediately looked up: There were already patents for my Idea [and a similar one], but they are not continued - at least in Germany). Maybe you can benefit from one of the concepts in the patents. The numbers are: DE202004014633U1 and DE112009001731B4
