April '24 - BHPC Hull - 45 minute fast race in Woodstock streamliner
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
2nd race in new streamliner Woodstock, at the cycle track at Ennerdale Leisure centre in Hull. Lots to tweak, the main thing being to get rid of the tubeless tyres and go back to SV6A tubes so the bl00dy things seat correctly and are round, not lumpy.
Results:
SLADE, Steve - Beano - 29.93mph
BRIDGE, Russell - Woodstock - 29.11mph
WAKEFIELD, Lee - Snoek - 28.18mph
GREED, John - Aquilla 3 - 27.17mph
TWEDDLE, Derrick - Yello Donkey - 26.12mph

I theorize that Slash's favorite movie is The Princess Bride. He used to crush you right from the start, but anymore he seems to be more charitable because he holds back for a while now. "I want you to feel like you are doing well." Anyway, thanks for another great video.
Nice result Russ 👏
Nice one Russell well done great vlog cheers
Incredible! Do you know what kind of power was put out during the race? I wrote this before the end of the video, question answered thanks.

Nice. Is there or have you seen any footage from inside Beano? I was wondering if Steve is pedaling through the corners that you are coasting on and if that's why he's beating you. Great ride and great footage.
181 bpm in the mad sprint to unlap yourself.
Great video Russell, and a sterling effort. I was wondering if you have matched Slash on the gearing ratios?
Thanks for sharing another great video Russell. Keep them coming! I'm building a new carbon TT recumbent (unfaired) out here in Vancouver and would love to know more about your experience. For example, why is Slash going faster? Is it more power, less drag, less rolling resistance , hip angle, crank length, and so forth?

Would love to see your build MPV. I am building a titanium/carbon fiber Streamliner myself. As for Slash, I am not sure of his power numbers, but Beano is quite small so the frontal area being smaller is going to help with speed a little. I am quite sure Beano is heavier though since it is a carbon/kevlar weave and steel frame. Both are amazing, and I can only hope mine comes out well enough to stay vertical.
You are getting so close now Russell. Steve Slade has had years and miles in Beano and he knows it and all these tracks very well. You are in a new beastie and you will get there I am sure. Congratulations on a very fine ride. P.S. How come your heart doesn't explode at those BPM's? ;-)
