🚀 More Boost, More Power, Final Dyno Pull | OGSIXE - THE FALCON EXPERIMENT - EP 4

#haltech #falcon #barra #pageup
After having our egos badly bruised at Roll Racing in the last episode we went searching for more power. A bigger turbo was the obvious upgrade and Benny aka The Mechanical Stig suggested a number of other upgrades that would not only give us power but also make that power reliable. It was time to unbolt the engine and get our hands dirty. What number did we get on the final dyno run? There's only one way to find out....
Mods done in this episode:
GCG Turbos Garrett GTX3582R Gen II
High Speed Engineering Billet Oil Pump Gear Set
Yella Terra Billet Steel Flexplate
Plazmaman Pro Valve Springs
ARP 12mm Head Studs
Haltech E85 Fuel Tune

If you don't chop Dave the Nacho Eating Jerk so hard he cries, you're going to have to go full advanced boost control, crank, piston, rods and gearbox rebuild. Also, this series need a girl in "proper summer attire" to fetch the pizzas, because clearly Richard is better suited to be under more, uhm, "direct supervision" in the workshop :P

this is great. I am learning a lot.
Well done guys! This series gets better with every episode.
I am loving this series, holy.
Great video once again guys! Nailing it
That was gold! Sounded staunch as ####😎 Looking forward too seeing it in the wild.🤜🏼🤛🏼🇦🇺😎
This series is the best!
Great video guys; super informative. Can't wait to see next weeks episode towing a caravan down the drag strip.
Nice work guys. I don't have a turbo falcon but have really enjoyed this series so far! Great humor too..
So so good. Thanks guys
This is an awesome and fun little series on car modification! Keep it up 👍
You are a giant in the aftermarket tuning industry and a true giant, when you make Benny look short! Love your work, thanks for sharing 👍
Awesome build, series and even Benny!
Great show guys 👍🏻
Top stuff guys 👌
Some nice power made, boys! Keen to see It in action
WOW... Love this Beauty. And also The Power!!!...
keep it up guys, loving these episodes!
Love these videos! Moooore!
I've liked this before even watching, it's going to be mad no doubt!
This video is perfect timing! Legitimately about to do this to my FGX Falcon next week myself. Same turbo upgrade with valve springs, billet oil pump gears, injectors and pump. big help getting a little bit of a peek at the engine dissembled. Cheers guys!!
Awesome explanations
Looking good Scotty nice to see how performance can be improved and still be a great daily driver. Some what of a Sleeper only exhaust note is a give away. As a FG G6E owner it's a great base to start from. Thanks enjoying content immensely. Little Aussie Follower .....
Tuning fork has settled the age old debate. Pineapple doesn't go on pizza! I knew I liked this guy for some reason.
Gotta hand it to you, Scotty, you know how to make it look easy!
Dave is a legend
another awesome video .... thanks gents 👍😁
Same turbo as on my Barra. Amazing how easy it is to add nearly 50% power with one extra mod if the rest of the supporting mods are done.
Love the bird of prey screeching for the falcon build theme music

Must be a goodun you got there, cause the sticker at 4:04 says grade "AAAAAA" ;-) top of the class!
Wouldn't be a falcon without oil leeks, good job fellas
480kw my 2cents What a guess. What a guess.
After over 15 years as a mechanic I seen my first seat belt lifting strap fail almost lost an arm never again lifting gigs very cheap careful boys they go without worning and extremely fast no time to get out of the way ps love the video's keep it up 👌👍👍
This has been a great build series, great work guys, hope to see more of these style videos from the Haltech team.
Loving this series guys!
Keep em coming lads! Loving the little micro tech sections as you go along, so many knowledge nuggets in here. my guess is 450-500kw, i think the stock rods might be a limiter here :/
Haha Richo and Tuning Fork the same height when Sitting down....amusing as. Great to see your own car on video! 470kw at wheels
Saw this car at WTAC today and met Richard, love this series

543hp maybe close. Well I was exactly wrong. Only exactly 100hp off. I couldn't remember what it made on the last video. Great job guys. Id love to have that car in the states. We miss out on so many good cars and engines here.
Nice. I have a 3576r Gen2 on my Evo x.
I pretty much have this combo going in as we speak except 1650 cc injectors I'm looking forward to getting the car back this week and have my haltech elite pro ecu installed and tuned the week after cant wait to see the same results
Love the series boys!
i would love to see a Steady state tuning session done to this car.
Power guess: enough for a great road car. I would be spoilt with the power it has before the turbo and e85 upgrade.
Scotty sitting down and still the same height as Richard!! hahahahaha!

We agree!
Pausing here, with zero idea, but to say my mate's fg xr6 is about 600hp at the wheels on the Dyno he was on. Best run so far, on semi slicks is 11.6 at Willowbank test n tune. Was quickest Barra on the night and not trying to slaughter the zf either. Ok, press play.

Fuck yeah! I actually called it at 480kw! Yeah the falcon 👌
480Kw at the wheels, very nice guys! Hard to imagine my old G6E-T with that kind of power! But I'm 45 so not likely to be caught wearing a snapback... and TBH, it'll still stay ahead of 99% of other cars you're likely to encounter on the street.

Matthew Sharpe id say more like 99.9% 480rwkw would be around the 600kw at the motor and a low 10 maybe high 9 1/4. All out of what is basically a stock motor.

@@Easyasinstallations Yep.. if he can launch it properly and get traction, can break into a high 9.
Mmmmm that turbo
So I've been procrastinating for about 18 months on buying one of these. Mostly you get could get a 2013/14 with under 100k for around 17-20 grand, which made me watch this. After this mini series, I think yep, I'm pulling the trigger! Let's do this! Look on Carsales, and they're now all 26-30 grand... awesome... Shit. I think everyone who owns them watched it too, and up goes the prices to insane levels.

I'm kinda surprised you havent done any suspension, tires, or brakes. With that much power, making sure you can get the full potential at the ground is paramount. And I'm sure there are plenty of choices to retain full daily comfort.

They might do it this year, they mentioned roadtrip, trailer and drag racing in the same sentence.
This method and recipe are similar like a MCM's OG Cresta, easy to make 600++hp and bullet proof, so when Benny here, let's go to drag strip mate :D
@Mr_jz_12

benny's cresta you mean. MCM threw car together. Benny built on it and made it proper.
Wow my guess was 500kw and I didn't even know what engine was in it. The number just popped into my head I didn't even try to calculate it. And I'm not very used to KW either.
Top effort…
Great series, though you would of done timing chain and guides, surprised you didn’t do a drive shaft, there good at exploding at 400 kw and beyond

Proper response to ham and pineapple pizza.
what boost was that at up top? and did you gradually open the throttle back up after peak torque or keep it partially closed?
That's V8 Supercar level power . . . 😮

justgjt supercars are lame. 5L NA engines, the 4v engines are nobbled so the GM 2 valve are not embarrassed. .. lame. Ford wasnt allowed to run their 4v engine either. And BS 7500 rpm rev limit to stop smaller engines from being competitive
Sounds like drag challenge time
same with Honda oil pumps. You can literally change oil pump after every drag strip pass when pushing like 800-900whp.

640 WHP 😳 Are you mad...! I think we can call it a sleeper 😅
Perfect sleeper
I had massive expectations when I saw you dissassembling the engine over the bin, but then you didn't drop enough stuff in, and, of course, mentioned the stock rods and pistons... Shame you didn't give Stewie a call at Special Piston Services and have some forgies carved up for her, and some (maybe BME?) rods sent over.... So, some undercut steels, extra frictions, and possibly a cryo-treated input shaft are somewhere, shortly, in the future?
@haltech
4 жыл бұрын
Not just yet. We really didn't want to go overboard with this build. The reason the engine came out was because it was easier to fit the bits we wanted to fit.
