When Haltech USA decided to build a display engine it had to be something quite unique, very special and visually appealing. This fire-breathing, quad turbo, V12LS is all those things. Aside from entertaining the masses at various shows and race meets, the engine has also been used as a development and test mule for many upcoming new products - including the NEXUS R5!

1450hp and an engine like that belongs in a powerboat and the boost to be turned wayy up to at least 20psi ..running on all that cold fresh ocean water should keep the temps down and provide great durability testing

I love how it sounds a bit like a Nissan GTR with exhausts out the bonnet. It would be awesome in a Viper with an cross pipe in the middle to even out the pulses, make it sound like a really chunky v12 rather than a really chunky v6.

1069 hp and it doesn’t matter what you put it in it’s going to be a good time 👍
Depending on the camshaft, maybe 950-1,050hp at the crank on 7psi of boost. That would be a great swap for a Cadillac XLR.

This is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to do as a kid. Not necessarily a V12 LS, But automotive experimentation and modification in general. I love it! 😍👍
This is crazy cool. Nice work, Haltech.
Im gunna say 900hp And an old caddy would be dope
1100, quad turbos all running at good efficiency. Could make huge power when turned up, and I think you owe it to the community to TURN IT UP
700 na, ima guess somewhere around 900 hp on 7 psi, and yall should shove it into a miata to make the ultimate "ls swap"

I'm going to say that since you like talking about old money, then you should do a retro mod. Maybe something cool like a 1967 Pontiac Tempest. Those stacked headlights would definitely make it look unique, and that steel frame will hold the power without any mods. Not to mention there is plenty of space in the engine compartment.
I have been looking at an Elite 2500+ for this year. Now I'm going to wait until the R5 comes out!!! That looks awesome! My guess for HP on turbo's is 1100hp.
I remember looking up Chevy V12s awhile ago and seeing this motor. If I could find a 4 door 1966 Chevy II this is what I'd want in it.
Well if you do the maths. 700hp NA, 7psi is about half an atmosphere. Knock off a little bit for whatever inefficiency might be there. So I say an even 1000hp.
Let's break the internet and drop it into an R34.

He’s prolly a realist, an r34 can barely fit a straight 6 length wise as it is. That v12 would be hanging out the front grill and you’d litterally have to change the whole car and the handeling would be absolute shyt. At that point, what’s the point? Engine swaps are probably the most overrated oversimplified things people spout on KZread.

Damm this is very cool!!
I can't wait for the dyno video. If it was 520kw and will be at 7psi, generalized math(s) should suggest that's 780kw in boosted form.

Runs about 1400hp And would go nicely in the Jaguar E type that Chip Foose built for Sema. Or a tubbed XA Coupe 🤙🏾🤙🏾

It needs to go in a good AWD car. \ no way rear wheel drive will even get down more than 1500HP with dragtyres unless its a funny car.
Definitely needs the turbo outlet pipes to come together into an x pipe of sorts, make it screeaaaam.
What a masterpiece it will fit nicely in my ht wagon
Perfect all round engine
I'm gonna make a guess of around 1050hp, and I'd love to see it in a late 70's two door chevette hatchback. A friend of mine had one with a 454 big block, I can only imagine what your motor could make that car do!
Thank you for the early morning PORN guys still have goosebumps all over ☺☺☺ and that engine would be great in a Pontiac GTO ( the Judge ) keep up the great work guys.

I want this engine in a supercar🔥
I’m going to say 1147hp and just for fits and giggles a Holden ute simply because that sounds like the perfect home for such an awesome looking setup.
Definitely a sleeper pickup!! Who would think that would be in an old beater Silverado!!
After recently seeing a 70's Firebird from a shop in CA with crazy HP; I like the idea of first putting it in something classic. So how about using the body of a 55-57 Nomad, but make it a mid-engine. Maybe use the trans-axle from the new Corvette. May require extending the wheelbase for such a massive engine. But it would sure help weight distribution. If I win the lotto, you can bet I will request some shop build it.
I reckon you’d prolly have to recess the firewall a bit, but chuck it in an HQ Monaro. It’d cost a pretty penny, but it’d be worth it to piss off the purists for hacking up an old Holden. Plus, it’d still be going in a GM car, and you’d be sticking with the Aussie theme. Amazing engine and VCU fellas, just amazing. 🤙🏼
What a wicked engine, as for my 2cents worth put it in a mid 80's station wagon as a rear engine'd hot rod with stupid power to weight ratio, street legal of course.

This is a really good example of amazing engineering, teamwork, blood, sweat and tears can do. This would have to be one of my most favourite custom engine builds to date. I have one question though, since you guys have built a V12LS, would it be possible for you guys to design and engineer a V16LS?

Awesome
Tuned for E85,1250 HP In My 22' Schiada V-Drive with Art Carr TH400 Trans
If you can make it fit in something mid engined like the new vette or older nsx or mr2 or some lotus chassis... That would be awesome. You wouldn't be grip limited at that point as Engineering Explained points out in his vid about why the newer vette can be faster with less hp. Plus there is the chassis dynamics stuff that impacts ride quality and handling where mid engined set ups also tend to be better.
I always liked the V12 Top Secret Supra. Should make the American Top Secret C5 Vette!
That"s awesome.
Those hex meshes are blocking 50% of your turbo's intake -_-, do we guess with them on or off :D
It all depends on what car can fit this engine in. Most modern cars don't have the space for it, which is the reason why Factory 5 is designing their F9R to accept this monster. As much as I would love to see it in new C8, I doubt if the bay is big enough.
My 1992 Mustang LX will rock it!
That will go nicely in the back seat of my Hyundai i20. Might need bigger brakes tho.
That in a boot/trunk of a hatchback 🚗🤩😂 Mini, Fiesta, Renault 5 turbo.
1250HP would probably be awesome in a Factory Five GTM or the new F9R that was prototyped with the V12LS...lol
Put it in a viper it will fit and im gonna say 930-960 crank on 7 psi
Drop it in a Hq monaro/tonner or something old scool
C5 vette needs this
i've been looking for a SA for my 6.8L V10 powered F100, since im soon adding a couple spoolies. glad to see ignition is finally built into the box, as this was one of the reasons i haven't gone SA yet. (10cylinder igniton AND seq fuel, without add-ons) i will take a look at the Nexus 5, thanks! #v10bumpside
675kw is my guess. I do wonder what the flow is like on those ports?
Drop it in a Tarago! :D But it has to be a early model one.

I like your thinking 👍🏾
This engine is unreal and sexy af, I'm guessing this beast has to be putting down upwards of 900+hp
Let's see... mild cams, Haltech ECU, very nice unrestricted exhaust set up, inter-cooler, I reckon around 1310 HP should be about right (assuming good airflow) through that fat inter-cooler!
@SGTMARSHALL1
Жыл бұрын
I reckon you would be pretty close with that estimation, I was thinking 1250-1350 because it doesn't have dual intake manifold or Interchiller
It'd be a long shot, but I'd like to see it stuffed into an ultima gtr or something mid engined
Atmospheric pressure is 14.7 psi at sea level. Video states N/A engine produces around 700hp. With ~7 psi of boost (or an additional 50% of pressure), boosted output should be around 1100hp.
honestly through something like this with it being a v12 throat in a Lamborghini or something like that those designed for it make an American Italian supercar and power I am guessing roughly 1200

800kW. Put it in a 300zx z32. That car is so filled with early 90s computer tech, including the rear wheel steer, I’d love to see Haltech control it all. No doubt Haltech could do it in a much less convoluted way.
Im going to say 867hp lol and i cant even think of what to drop it in.. long and wide engine bay is def needed.. a corvette or old camaro.. something GM, US or Australia. Transmissions would bolt up.. pretty much most of the work would be at the engine bay and hopefully no tunnel issues
Drop it in my Ford FPV Boss 290 BA GT, I’m in Brisbane QLD... call me anytime lol. Beautiful looking motor, a work of art and made in Australia 🇦🇺👍🏼😀 oh I guess 950hp
I mean, I've got this '67 Dodge Monaco that it would look pretty slick in... ;)
Love to see it in a Factory Five GTM.
I’d love to see it in a shorty 4x4 van.
It makes 1050hp if you are using same cam, torque is going to be huge ! put it to 1950s chevy dually tow truck
I’d guess around 950HP. You guys should contact TAVARISH he wanted to make a custom Lamborghini inspired supercar. This would be perfect match and great for both channel/company
This would go great in the back of a C8
Pretty cool👍👍 any internals going to be changed for more boost? Should drop this in a Silverado drag truck.
This is wat they should have put in the C8 corvette.this would have put the Corvette on a whole new level
It should be around 1200-1400hp. Build a superlite coupe and drop it in. Could make a great series for youtube+ it would be a great show car!
A V16 would have been very cool!
Got to be 12/15 hundred easy.what to put it in anything it’ll fit in lol
I reckon 1450 hp bit high but yeah I’ll say that and drop it in a corolla ke20 🙂👍🏻
what's the head flow like on this engine?
put it in a hotrod lincoln sloper two door ! show quality ! tilt frontend !to show the GLORY !
Well at 7 psi it should add another 50% in power. I am more curious about fuel and air distribution. I think with an intake like the Holley Hi Ram with the A2W intercooler between the base and the lid and 4 throttle bodies feeding right off the turbos would solve any airflow and fueling issues, remain compact for packing in a chassis, look trick as hell and with such a short path to pressurize off the turbo near instant response.
I'd think it makes around 1150hp and I think itd go well in a c5 or maybe a c7 just to bring the ls back to the vette with a twist I would say put it in a c8 but I highly doubt it would fit
This engine should go into the C8 Zora Edition!! All wheel drive 1700 HP 1100 ft lbs of TQ.
Power guess: Its definitely got more power than a Prius :)
Salvage and rebuild a lambo mercy, diablo or aventardor using dt monster of an engine.. a million likes all the way from S.A
Well I just saw this be cool drop it in a 96 oldsmobile 88 haha
Definitely something Australian, like a hq monaro, hq 1-ton or ute tho a hq statesman is all class. If you want something different it would have to be a hq -hz panelvan overlander to make use of all that power and turn heads e everywhere it goes.
1130 HP at the flywheel, a car it will fit in a70's GM American wagon or Aussie version of the same or an Aussie ute with a big enough engine bay , my guess the only transmission the will handle that will be a 2 speed drag built power glide
Where oh where should that monster go?
I'm guessing a little shy of 1000hp given it's only 7psi for now. I'm hoping you guys crank it up to 15-20psi. As for what car it should be in? Obviously Yaris Hilton. Behind the driver and driving the rear wheels of course.
1465hp Holden ute with the the suspension from the new Corvette.
You should absolutely drop it in my vehicle.!!!! 1126 hp
