I've found the Monarchy Government Type is useful for roleplay when combined with Feudal Society and the one civic that adds noble leader jobs who's name alludes me.

@@airmanbunny9767 Aristocratic Elites. It is bad. Replace a politician for a Noble that produces +2 stability and get a building that lets you build 1 additional Noble.

@@kamaha0010 It's so bullshit we can't use Exalted Priesthood with Imperial. I want to be able to make Egyptian Priest Kings in space. We are already fucked over when it comes to playing a rightous hero king since Philospher King is so utterly shit. They should at least allow us to go full Kingdom of God lead by The Holy Warrior Priest crusading across the galaxy.

@@kamaha0010 Aristocratic elites is good, actually. It was bad after pop rebalance when the normal ruler pop were enough for amenities, but once the ruler amenities got balanced for the lower planet populations, the stability is great especially if you have to get holotheater anyways. The special building for more rulers isn't usually worth it though, but they're useful in a slave economy for higher stability

Welp, Feudal Society and Imperial Cult require Imperial authority. So if you wanna roleplay as god emperor or just save yourself a perk slot while vasal-run, it's kinda must have.

It was better before the change to edicts. Imperial used to give +1 edict capacity.

Who also happened to catch arrested development at level 2 in an old patch: yes, yes indeed I am. But I'm not going to suffer alone.

Actually strat this is mp bias talking, in sp on a huge map makes it the best government type for conquest by far (then dictatorship is better late game for the size penalty reduction). it shaves like 15 years off of speedrun galactic conquest with claims.

true, that's a good point, i do have a good excuse though 95% of my playtime is in MULTIPLAYER, i NEVER play singleplayer...so yes, the entire channel is like that i know some people will see this as heresy, BUT HEY!

Influence makes claims and all the cool op things like ecuminopolus and orbital rings. He's saying in single player that's actually really good.

People design their empires based on what gives the best stats??? That just seems to take the fun out of Stellaris, ngl...

Depends on the situation such as roleplay or PvP personally I enjoy both as stellaris caters to a large range of players which is why its such a great game.

To me that's the fun is finding broken combinations and t et ing th once or twice. I once made an empire where I was a religiosos megacorp and finished my unity while my friend was still on her 3rd unity thing

Let me tell you about competitive stellaris

Imperial cult is a pretty nice civic though and you can only get it with monarchy. Plus 100 edict points is no joke.

Imperial cult + execeutive vigor + feudal society = unity generation out the bumbum and all the edicts you could ever want. Or you could go down the alternate route and take a better AP rather than EV. People don't realize just how much unity you lose from leader upkeep.

I mostly run imperial authority so I don't have to deal with elections, tbh

I find it pretty good to start Oligarch, get a good leader and then convert into a Monarchy or similar!

I require the imperial government type for my Neue Reich larp.

I have a monarchy with nobility civic on a doomsday world Also it's fun how the first heir won't live much longer than their parent because they are "born" at the same time

Monarchy with Feudal and the other one I forget with Knights of the Toxic God is max roleplay and I love it.

Monarchy is objectively the most Based form of goverment.

It's a shame too because some of the sickest and most interesting civics require the imperial authority, ike imperial cult or feudal society.

Now it is much better. +10% resourse output in capital system is huge for void dveller and shatted ring origins

I usually only go Imperial if I'm roleplaying and I know I'm playing with people who struggle to get like 10k by year 30. Then I like to go psionic philosopher king, imperial cult, feudal society and try to go for emperor of the universe.

But dont forgot - Feudal Society is in one of the best ways to save unity at the start + we have hing chance to get a Eye For Talent ruler trait when we get 1 more slot for civic we can change the type of government

I won my first game with a immortal emperor chosen one trait, my leader was 250 years old by the end of the game and actually started as a archon cause I used oligarchy .
