Sorry no LH in Titleist, we keep asking them but for LH Vokey they don’t send them. Have Mizuno in LH wedges.

Brilliant review, thank you. Question....here in upstate New York we have soft conditions 5-6 months of the 7 we are able to play. As a golfer in my 60’s with a shallow angle of attack I was thinking of getting 54 & 58 Wide sole to go with my new JPX 921 HM 4-AW. I am a 8 handicap but my short game 50 yards in is the worst part of the game and sand play is scary bad at times. I am taking lesson from PGA pro and want your wedge bounce and sole recommendation. Good stuff. If you are shallow AOA then keep the bounce low and the narrow sole in this head. You can go wider sole for the bunker wedge if you want with a mid bounce but only if the sand compacts and isn’t that soft. Hope that helps. Play well. 👍🏻🏌🏻‍♂️🇮🇪

Thanks for the great vid. Just wondering.. With the limit of 54deg. If I strengthen to 52 to achieve my 90 mtr gap. Would the bounce decrease better in wide sole..? Have always played 50,54,58 Miz with low bounce (5hcp)..Thanks

You should be fine dropping the loft by that. Bounce should be fine. 👌🏻

How would you compare the ES21 with the Cleveland CBX2? Could you comment on your use of the standard vs wide sole options of the ES21?

We haven’t been sent any Cleveland product to test..😟 if you’re steeper with the swing perhaps go wide but we generally prefer the narrow sole for Irish golfers.👍🏻

Absolutely great informative video and could'nt have explained it better. I have a question which is i am playing with Mizuno jpx 919 forged irons. My PW is 46 degrees in loft and my SM18 gap wedge is 50 degrees of loft. Can you advise what BOUNCE i should have if i were to purchase the Mizuno es21in 54degree and 58 degree loft in the wide sole. I hqve a WHS hcap of 17.6. Thank you

Keep the bounce low on both with the narrow sole. 👍🏻

Thank you that reply surprises me for a 18 hcap player. So are yoh saying i should choice the standard mizuno es21 in the lowest bounce available. Currently as it stands i believe the std 54 and 58 is available in 12 degrees of loft

Handicap has no bearing on bounce. From our fitting experience we’ve found a lower bounds allows for more front edge and gets the ball into the face quickly to aid with better face contact and better friction and face to ball control. We’ve found that until your game and short game skill develops you might struggle to “use” bounce so better to have less interaction with the ground and more with the ball. 👍🏻👍🏻🏌🏻‍♂️

Go for standard sole width and 54-08 and 58-08. Best of luck 👍🏻

No the lower bounce is better in this design. They will play fine. Enjoy 👌🏻🏌🏻‍♂️

Got the lower bounce because that was your previous recommendation. Thank you but also can you advise the fact that i have purchased the std es21 and not the wide sole. Will this be a hindrance to me

It turns out that I am a heretic. I just feel more comfortable with 3 wedges. I have a 54, 58 and a 61 on order. How unusual is that?

It’s all good as long as your happy. The only issue will be the gap between your 54 and PW. Play well.

@@foregolfcustom Yup. The shortest iron from my set is 50 deg. The wedges were chosen during a fitting with attention to yardages, etc.

Agreed they can get expensive but the extra €30/40 is well worth it given the performance, any shaft and grip upgrade. A similar spec Vokey could run €40 dearer. Sometimes that little extra is worth it and in this case the performance out weighs the extra. 👌🏻
