I feel like nobody is talking about the pose Miss Philippines did in gown with her arm up and sweeping her hair back. So naturally confident and effortlessly beautiful! When I saw that I knew she’d won. I’ve never seen another girl pose like that. It was fabulous!

The gown of Catriona is lava-inspired gown because she is from the Bicol Region where the Mayon Volcano is located...

However, half of the Top 20, was very very disappointing for MANY people. The chosen ones from Europe was mostly a CIRCUS for me. That is the reason why they were inmediatley deleted. This continent/region based selection is simply making easier things for the favorites of the jury. I'm very disappointed with the all female jury. I just wish next year the jury would be conformed of playbloy millionare males to actually see the beauty ones winning & "Fighting fiercely" against each other.

YOU ARE RIGHT! The interpreter of Vietnam just translate a part of the question. She even miss the special key word " politically correct". And more horrible, the interpreter can't even speak Vietnamese clearly. I'm Vietnamese but I was so confuse her pronounce. That why my Miss don't have much information to make more good answer. And when our Miss Vietnam answer the question, the interpreter, again, she just translate a part of the answer. Vietnamese are angry too much about that. We know our Miss can't reach the crown but we think that she is deserved Top 3. Her life and her actions for Vietnamese poor people are evidence for what you are looking for from Miss Universe. They just show a small part of her life in this contest. She is the most wonderful Miss Vietnam we have ever. When others Miss Vietnam have new house, new car , and rich by the throne, H'hen Nie this girl still have to borrow manythings to come to Miss Universe because she helps so much for poor people. @@onthescene7897 the fact that I did not watch bb so I have no idea how she performed. Only, that one of the contestants (w/c I'm not gonna name is from my alma mater) w/c I favored all along. I'm not into local beauty pageants. The reason that arose my curiosity is when people is so hype about her. So, when I did watch miss world, she surprised me. She performed well in that contest. No surprise at all when people urged her to join bb, she's exceptional. I watched all her videos. Followed her journey, I keenly observed. Her profile and portfolio, what she'd done to the community and continue to do is something to be admired of. She worked hard for this. It payed of. SHE PROVES ME WRONG.

I was surprised to not see Ecuador and India on the top 20. I wanted Miss Puerto Rico to win the crown because she is so sweet fun and she got such a nice attitude . But I am happy for Phillipines she really deserves the crown and I think she s gonna be a good MU .... !!!! Thanks for your videos!!!

was inspired by The Mayon Volcano located in the hometown of our current Miss Universe. (her mom was from that region but living away from the Philippines for a long time now)

Actually, Catriona's gown is inspired of Mount Mayon (her family's place) where the molten magma (lava) is cascading from its perfect cone.
