Zenbitch, Being smart has NOTHING to do with being able to speak English fluently. Remember Olivia Jordan of USA in MU 2015? She fumbled with her answer. Catriona is very smart because she is knowledgeable (well-informed), intelligent (high IQ), mature (knows things older people know), and articulate (knows the right word to use at the right time).

@Happiness is a CHOICE. just in case you missed the first part she said in verbatim : "it was super amazing in the Philippines, the Philippines was such an amazing host", (isn't that praising?) also Cat represents PH and so sometimes candidates call them by country's name not their first name (well if they're not familiar with each other yet) haha and btw, it is obvious that i was also reffering to Cat . Miss Philippines is not only beautiful, she is genuinely kind and passionate. She has been into charity work even before she joined beauty pageants. She is very articulate and well-spoken, making her the brand Miss Universe is looking for. I really believe that she is Miss Universe 2018! Candidates from Puerto Rico and Colombia are also strong. I so enjoyed this video, I've been watching the Miss Universe pageant since 1979 or so and the pageant like everything else has changed. The internet now allows us to research candidates before the competition- this was very difficult before. I agree with your predictions and I thought your comment on what happens behind the scenes and the weeks leading up the competition and how that can be a factor on whether or not a candidate makes it to the finals was very interesting.
