I'm gonna say it, Maxine was lucky it was held in the Ph! Gorgeous girl, but she's no IMG spokesperson. She has other good forte's I'm sure, but she was lucky to make top 6. And I'll say it...POLITICS helped her.

Now I understand what happened with the dress because after seeing your performance at Miss Supranational and the choice of gown you wore I was surprised by the gown you wore at MU. I remember watching miss universe and the commentators were saying that you were the first ever, like, plus-size contestant ever and that miss universe was starting to be more inclusive and I just didn’t see were the “plus” was, I was like wtf she’s just like the rest😂 and I still don’t see it, I love that miss universe is inclusive but you’re just perfect, one of my favorite contestants ever❤️ also France’s answer was even better but the translator messed it up a little bit And yes, I’m from Mexico and Kristal is so much fun, she’s a host and she does a really good job, one of the best Miss Mexico ever❤️ You should do a video like this but about MU 2017❤️

There are too many languages in the Phils. but sociopolitically speaking Filipino is recognized as the official language which is a mixture of all the native languages in the country. Our second official language is English.

The reason why maxine answered differently from the question is because her translator said 'makabuluhang pangyayari' which means Major event instead of 'makabuluhang pagbabago' which is Major change, thats why she talked about Ms universe being held at her country

Great blogs!! Luv your points of view!! By the way, I know you mentioned about something a host country always gets into the at least the semi finals.. MU1993 in Mexico City, when Mexico didn’t even place in Top 10. If you watch it , you will see the volatile reactions from the crowd and it wasn’t pretty. I guess that’s why they now have the selection committee that selects semi finalists based not entirely on scores but recommendations from the committee as a group. Have you heard of this?

I watched it live at MOA. I knew France would win. But Haiti got the biggest cheers during the top 3. Filipino fans love dark beauties, if you don't know. During 1974 Miss Universe beauties from Senegal, Surinam and Aruba were very very popular. I thought Thailand would make it to the top 3. Colombia's inclusion is given, you know... She must be there. But honestly I thought she was not that upbeat. Peru, Panama and Brazil should be in the top 9 instead of Philippines (I am from the Philippines).

Excellent video Siera! About your gown, Why didn't you wear the same one of the preliminary competition? That one fitted amazing on you, the color and shape was perfect, and I think you'd have been farther that night.

For me i think the top 13 was perfect . For me top 9 of 2016: Kenya Thailand Mexico Panama Colombia Philippines Canada Brazil France However the top 9 was a bit diff. Based on actual top 9 performance my top 6 was: Thailand France Mexico Kenya Colombia Canada( yes sierra ur gown wasn't appealing but u were a perfect candidate for top 6) Once again top 6 was different Latet my top 3 was: France Haiti Colombia And final predictions were 2nd ru- Colombia 1st ru- Haiti Winner- France Sierra can u plzz do this type of a video for miss universe 2012. Plzzz because i think miss universe 2012 has the most controversial winner

Love this video! It’s a great perspective. Please do more. So, I’m a big pageant fan, and I do a lot of research on the contestants. From the moment I watched Iris win the title of Miss France I knew she was going to be Miss Universe. I actually have that same feeling now for Julia Horta, Miss Brazil. I did not like Miriam Habach, Miss Venezuela 2016. I didn’t like her when she won Miss Venezuela, and thoughout the year I got a very bad impression of her. She came off very diva, and arrogant. It didn’t surprise me that she was left out of the Top 13. I remember after Amelia Vega of the Dominican Republic won Miss Universe 2003, there were other contestants who commented that they felt the judges didn’t want the contestants enough because her behavior did not make her a favorite of the other girls.

I remember that filipina Celebrities here in the philippines interviewed by famous tv network here after the pageant , she questioned who her Bet in Miss U 2016 contestant ‘ she said it was You. “Miss Canada beacause you have different kind of beauty among candidates.” And i agreed. And about to your gown, yes ibwas dissapointed too , i know you can go more if you have beautiful and elegant gown like gown after your wedding i guess

Thank you for making this video. Personally, I both agree and disagree with you on several points: - The main reason why USA didn't make it to top 6 is her gown. I agree with you she should have worn a bright color gown like the one she wore in prelim and miss usa. In e.gown, she seemed not to wow us as in swim round. The problem with the gown is the same case of Philipppines who was not that impressive. - I agree Colombia looked quite stiff but what she won is the way she walked it and how she posed. - As for Haiti, it came as a surprise for me when Steve called her to the top 13. Right after that looking at her face which is absolutely stunning and the way she answer Steve's question, I knew she's gonna kill it that night and yes she did. Haiti and France was deservingly the stars of the night. About France, I knew she was unrivalled from prelim. Her face is drop-dead stunning. In swim, no need to talk about her walk as she had the best body among all contestants. And for me her gowns in both prelim and final were the most beautiful gowns and these two fitted her perfectly. Like u said, her voice, accent, personality... which all made total package of a MU. - In terms of top 3, I thought all of them totally deserved it. Yes Thailand was very pretty and one of my fav , that's true but Colombia's answer was better and picked instead of Thailand. - I didn't like the top 13 because it neglected too many pretty girls. I also wanted Australia to make it but she didn't presumably for the reason she have told. Overall, MU 2016 is one of my favorite years.

Had Deshauna been in the top 6, she would have killed every q and a. Colombia’s dress reminds me of a some kind of pasta, maybe the ribbon-like ones. I loved Kenya though, she was so adorable and I thought she was just nervous but I saw her got interviewed at a talk show in her home country and she still talked like how she talked at Miss Universe, so, maybe she really shouldn’t have made it through. I love Thailand, she was my number one before the pageant started but then I saw Iris at the National Costume show and she rose to the top of my list. I was underwhelmed with Maxine’s overall performance but she exceeded all expectations about her. I remember how people were really hard on her, including myself. I think she’s one of the strongest facially though. Funny that you mentioned Mexico, USA and Canada didnt make it through from top 9 to Top 6 because before that Panama, Brazil and Peru all from South America didn’t make the cut, thought that was interesting. I personally didn’t get anything from Haiti at the pageant. She realy didn’t do it for me, so, I was suprised she kept making the cut. My mom loved her though. I think the right girl won and yes, I agree you should’ve worn a different dress which showed your legs and a little more skin because you’re so freaking beautiful and sexy!
