I learned from going to therapy. For year and years I ran away from relationships with men who I liked and they liked me. At the time I didn’t know why all I knew is that I felt panicked and needed to run RUN! I’d be heartbroken after and miss them. I’d also chase or pine for men who were unavailable either they lived far away or had a GF or were not that interested in me. After years of thinking it was all their fault I considered that actually it could be me as I had been the common denominator. In therapy first day I realised that I had an avoidant-dismissive attachment style. Which explained my behaviour. It was like an epiphany. After that I looked back and took responsibility for chasing unavailable men and running from men who were interested in me. 6 months later I was ‘seeing’ someone in a different state, I observed that he wasn’t making an effort to come and see me so I fought my instinct to chase him and felt so much peace in leaning back. Then I met a man in my own city who wanted to be with me, his actions and words showed me. I did feel that bit of panic to run but because I could now recognise what was happening I continued the relationship and honestly we have an amazing loving relationship and now have a 3 year old daughter. Therapy works. It helps us see our blind spots. Thanks Shallon.

I don't know about shallon, she probably won't respond to your comment because you're discussing how you were able to change and see the light and she isn't the main topic in your comment but I do know it's fantastic to hear about other people growing and changing for the better, it's inspiring and motivating. It's awesome to hear that your life changed by being accountable and taking action. That's pretty fucking amazing. You deserve every good thing gained because you did the work. She really fascinates me. She isn't harmful, basically to anyone but herself. Chaos is a great way to explain her personality. I wonder if thats a result of trauma or if she is just one of those Chaos energy people. It's rare to see someone with self contained destruction. She has been like 15 different people in the last 10 or 15 years. It seems like she has this "im just being me" mentality, but she has no idea who she is, who she was, who she wants to be. It just feels like she wears 1000 masks depending on who the anchoring force in in her life. She's like.... a mirror, vacant and dependent on someone to mimic. That makes me wonder if its trauma.

For someone with such a sexualized personality, I found the way she spoke about sex in that interview very odd. Like so utilitarian. It sounded like something she feels like is necessary to her partner, so she'll do it, but she wants to get it over with as quickly as possible and move on. She seems to talk about sex as a tool, but is separated from her feelings about it. That's also indicative of some kind of trauma.

Puppy tip!!! If you plan on crate training him, make sure you make him comfortable with the crate before leaving him in it overnight!! Put treats and toys in there with him and let him go in and out a few times. Ideally going in the crate should be a good experience for him so it's helpful to let him do it by choice and treats definitely help with that. He will definitely still cry when you leave him in it but it shouldn't be too bad if you take the time to introduce the crate to him ! :) puppies are amazing but they are hella work and it's basically like having a kid. Good luck, girl!

6 puppy tips for you !! No.1 - toilet training. Take them outside every half hour / 45 minutes so they learn they go toilet outside and when they use their puppy matts to go toilet, once they do a wee don't throw it away straight away, keep it so they can pick up the scent of their wee and learn to go on the Matt & treat them every time they do well. Tip no.2 - It's good to have a key word every time you give them a treat like e.g 'yes' or 'good boy' so they'll learn that word is associated with good behaviour. Tip no. 3 - be wary with food as some puppies can have sensitive tummys so the first food you pick up may not always agree with them and they may go off their food once they beginning growing, some pups can be fussy !! If they are fussy, mix chicken in with their food and slowly reduce the chicken the more you feed them to try wein them onto their food. Tip no.4 - not everyone agrees but crate training is good because it allows a puppy to have their own space and its almost their safe place that no one else can invade, it's also handy because puppy's can be explorers and when they begin to teething last thing you want is your furniture to be chewed whilst you sleep, also go for a bigger crate, if they need to to toilet in the night they have room in their crate to sleep, cuddle with teddies but also go toilet If they get desperate. Tip no.5 - bath them from young, so they get used to it especially if they're fluffy as poo can get stuck in their fur and restrict them when they try go toilet but they do get cold very easily after baths, so be sure to cuddle them. Have a blanket and hot water bottle ready after the bath to keep them warm. Same with grooming, start taking the pup to the groomers from 3 months onwards will allow them to get used to having their ears clean and nails clipped from young and tip no.6 - socialise them as soon as they've had they're last jabs, puppy training classes are the best way to socailise your dogs and it's good for you as you'll learn so much about your pup and the best ways to train them !! I Cant wait to see the pup on your socials, so excited for you !! I recently got a pup and honestly best decision I made this year ❤

So, she said that she didn't want Liam to think she was a loser for being a virgin. Translation: she thinks that if you don't have sex, you are a loser. Theres plenty of people who are embarrassed to tell their partner they're a Virgin that doesnt equate that its people who are judgemental they feel. I dont experience this but a lot of people do. She was also very much a teenager at this point most teenagers create a lot of pressure to virgins that being one isn't cool its normal.

idk lol. I definitely didn't like shouting from the rooftops that I was a virgin. And I didn't lie to the first guy I was with, but I also didn't indicate that I was a virgin and I was quite a bit older than Miley. I just personally feel its not someone else's business unless you choose to tell them and the fact of the matter is people do a lot of weird virgin shaming. People always made weird jokes like I was this innocent little baby that was frail and didn't know the world. I felt like it was this overtly dramatic thing. Miley's wording is off per usual, and it seems like she hasn't processed these experiences as an adult, but i understand where she was coming from and why she didn't choose to tell Liam.

OK but we gotta be careful with going so anti-victim-mentality. A lot of women already have a massive guilt complex and blame themselves for every bad thing guys did to them. I agree that it's very enlightening to realize how much power you have, but it's equally enlightening to acknowledge how unjust it was that people treated you badly and how your childhood wounds essentially catapulted you into these bad relationships. Learning about attachment styles is very helpful for that. Have some compassion on yourselves please :(

I prefer to stay away from the "it's my fault" analysis. I did it after my first break up and I believe it was what sent me straight to depression that came like 2 months after the break-up. After the break-up, I micro analysed every situation and looked for what I did wrong and how I could have behaved differently. I tore myself apart and got deep into every issue I had ever had (with my dad, etc.). And I convinced myself that the break-up was all my fault. Now, 7 years after the break-up, I simply think that the relationship didn't last because I was young, inexperienced, didn't know how relationships worked. It wasn't because I was a broken person with a million issues, as I thought back then.

What i took from that advice is more...... do the ”is it my fault?” As a thought experiment - not as an absolute truth. Just start analysing things from different perspectives to notice patterns (emphasis on both notice and patterns). After youve noticed new things you can start deciding what to do with that info. But also - patterns, like if ”guys always act this way” or ”my mom is ALWAYS mean” etc. Its important to know when to adopt each piece of advice - obviously everything isnt universally applicable.

I totally agree. Shallon shouldn't be advising young women to make this "experiment" because unless you're all mentally stable and securely attached it can easily backfire. That's Miley's opinion and it's her life, so I don't get why you'd talk down on her when I think that - if its progress for her, even if its not much progress to you (not that what you think matters), it still is progress. She is proud of the person she has become and from the podcast, I actually found it enlightening and yeah I know I could be wrong but it did make sense to me. It resonated. I think we need to acknowledge that we're different and we all grow at our own pace. "Life's magic happens". I want to be successful but I also don't want to force my way to it (of course I'll work for it but I won't chase it), maybe life isn't the best so I can learn to be mindful and self-aware of the things getting in the way of my success. This is my honest opinion and I do respect Shallon's, I just thought I'd voice mine out.

You can see Miley's chaotic personality in her music too. Like how it's always so 'different' and 'unexpected'. She even said in an interview that she never thinks about what she's done, she's just constantly trying new things. I like a lot of her music, but the fact that she doesn't have a sound or a message makes it seem like she's experimenting because she has a lack of creative direction and she doesn't know what she's trying to offer to the world. I mean Taylor Swift has changed her sound a lot over the years but you know her music is going to focus on romantic relationships, and idek what Miley's music focuses on. Sometimes partying, sometimes dating or being single or politics or idek. Anyway, just an observation.

I'm not defending Miley but there was a tea saying that Liam was stealing money from her. He was never a good actor to begin with. Other than surfing in Malibu he wasn't doing that much. I do agree that she should learn how to be single. Does anyone remember her first boyfriend Justin Gaston before she got in with Liam? And it's also been confirmed that she had a fling with Mandy Jiroux back in the mid 2000's. 😔They had a KZread channel together. The mess!

Pancake Sourdough lol, excluding The Hunger Games franchise most of the movies he’s been in have been flops but ok. I’m not saying he can’t pay his own bills but no one can deny that Miley skyrocketed his career with the movie they did together. And she has more $$$ than him. After all, their house in Malibu was hers. As chaotic and messy as she is, she was the breadwinner in that relationship.

If you watch the whole interview you'll hear that she's already in therapy and has a very logical approach to her life. She seems less chaotic to me than before but she is definitely superficial, immature and narcisstic. She even said "the only thing that turns me on is when people bring stuff to the table" 🙄

@@belladonna5904 I hear you, but if you put it in the context of her whole interview, she seems to have an incredibly utilitarian approach to relationships and sexuality. For example she also said she is "obsessed with herself" and many other things like that. Now there are many people, especially women, who need to be more "selfish" and less people-pleasing. Especially for these types it's very important what the partner brings to the table and to demand high standards. It wasn't my intent to diminish the general importance of that, but in the case of Miley particularly I found it very indicating of an immature and narcissistic nature.

Hey Shalon, sorry for the long message but I hope you read because this has hit home for me so much and I want to thank you. I friend-broke up with a guy recently (I’m also a guy) who did two Miley things you mentioned that drove me mad. He was always the victim of something, yes he had a tough life but he was like Phoebe in Friends, in where he make everything link back to certain tragedies especially when challenged about something. Actually he was a bit fixated about sex and was basically complaining about unable to hook up with pandemic, like it was fine until he KEPT BRINGING IT UP like all the time. Then anytime I try to say I felt like our conversations felt like two 14 yo boys sometimes, he got defensive and basically would call me a prude. It was really fucked up annoying, he also moaned a lot about being alone (relationship wise) and when I try say I was struggling too because in my area the lockdown has been super strict here and I returned to my parents for the pandemic and not seen my friends in ages, trying to indicate everyone is feeling alone he bring up the stuff from past. You nailed it on the head for me when you said “not a bad person, but chaotic”. That’s how I felt with him, we had a couple of Video-drinks during lockdown, which was a tool I used to help me feel less isolated as I stuck in the back-arse of no where with my parents and I had to help them, I spent most days helping my dad filing tons of paper work so his employees got their Covid Pandemic Payments or helping my mom through the online training courses she had to do for her new job in a nursing home to help with the health emergency. I was with my parents a lot, doing tedious jobs with them, I didn’t mind it but I just want to chill and he would offer to video call me and then he would completely ruin it after about 3 drinks breaking down about stuff. The straw that broke the camels back was one night he started writing alluding to suicide after he had drink in him and I told him goto bed (I could tell from what he was writing it was more for attention than genuine) I expressed how I can’t deal with this conversation as an uncle I was extremely close to as a child shot himself, he should contact someone else if he’s serious, this was extremely painful for me. He basically said he wasn’t responsible for my uncle and then abused me which I gave back and he blocked me. A few days later, he unblocked me and gave a piss poor apology and then went into Hyper-sexual talk again and I wasn’t there for it & called him out. He blocked me and then over the rest of last week kept blocking and unblocking me, sounding reasonable before doing “but you said this” on me & trying to blame me. This video on Miley really has help me grasp his thought process so thank you, as I still felt bamboozled and doubted if I was just crazy and not being a good friend or something but now I realised he was chaotic.

Be as careful with your pup’s food as you are with your own food. For example, rawhide treats are made with toxic chemicals which are not good for your dog. A lot of treats are full of processed chemicals and subgrade animal meat, and then people wonder they their dogs die of cancer. Be very wary of dog treats which are made abroad in places where they don’t have basic food standards.

Honestly I met & fell in love with a narcissist & we had a talk about how I need to be in school or working. I had knee surgery earlier this year but I've since recovered so he had a point. I started to take a step back & reexamine my life. Then he blindsided me with a breakup. I've been watching ALL of Shallon's videos & when I did the breakup autopsy I realized I was pinning my happiness on some asshole who didn't even care about me. I also realized I'm a mess & I seriously need to get my shit together. So I enrolled in hair school which I'm so excited to start next month & I've since realized I need to be alone for awhile & grow more & learn to love & respect myself in order to stop attracting narcissists. I wouldn't have been able to get through the breakup were it not for Shallon's pearls of wisdom in the many many videos I've sat & watched or rewatched! I was honestly such a wreck but now I'm pursuing my passions it took a shitty guy breaking up with me to realize I wasn't happy with my life & the whole victim narrative really isn't cute. The breakup is still kinda fresh in my mind & he still texts me but day by day things are getting a little better & a little easier! Thanks to Shallon & what I swear is the LAST shitty narcissistic guy I'll ever allow to waste my time!

A personal recommendation some people disagree with me but I would skip the pee pads they could lead to bad habits. Just start potty training outside from the start 3. Master the 5 main commands within the first year and reap the rewards 4. Start socializing asap. I will stop because I could go on and on. ( had a dog or 4 ) ❤

    1. Assume everything is your fault. For just a while, step into the mindset that every negative outcome you had was your fault and make multiple theories. See what pings up inside you and gather data to see what YOU are doing to add fuel to the fire. 2. Once you've gathered data, and gone over the mythologies you tell people, make a list of all the messy things you do. Identify what's wrong. 3. Experiment with inverse decisions - for an entire day, or even just a few minutes, experiment. Find someone who embodies the traits you want more of, that are the opposite of your chaos, and do everything they would do. Do the opposite of what you'd normally do, and shadow/cosplay them for a while. Gather more information to see what works and what doesn't.
