So if it wasn't the the highly unlikely truth of a 28 year affair partner baby it might have been cousins or something and MIL being a b*tch just dropped the kids off because she is a b*tch to Op all the time it wouldn't be that odd. Calling CPS while being correct might put a pretty heavy strain between Op and the rest of the family.

This was bonkers all the way around, and I'll add that if OP was a teacher, that means she is a mandatory reporter. I cannot see how this would not qualify as something that she would be legally required to report to the authorities.

I don’t get it. They witnessed and had proof of child abuse (just so we’re on the same page, it isn’t legal to smack children on the head and drag them around like how it was described) as well as the whole abandoning them at another person’s home, yet they didn’t call the cops? The children were constantly acting traumatized and in fear so you can bet that more had happened that we don’t know of. Even the cop friend they asked just said to post the video on Facebook and didn’t recommend any real legal action. Wtf?

@@isasantos8577unless this is in a backwater redneck area. I know this sounds fake, but trust me, I’ve heard of situations very similar on multiple occasions. Redneck communities are something else entirely. Im not saying this isnt fake, but if it is true, i imagine all these people are near broke, and living in run down old mobile homes. And literally everyone in this story distrusts the law, and though rednecks throughout the use of CPS or Police all the time, they all know they wont actually call because none of them want the government around anyway.

You've never been investigated by CPS, have you? If it was a random stranger dropping off kids, that would be one thing. A family member? You're going to look for answers in the family _before_ you bring in outsiders, because once CPS starts digging, they are going to want answers. Who are these children? Why did the MIL bring them to OP? Is this the first time OP has received children from MIL? Are there missing children in OP's neighborhood? Can OP account for the dates and times those children were reported missing? Who are OP's friends and associates? What type of teacher is OP? What do OP's coworkers think about her? Have any parents registered complaints about OP? And so on...

The fact that OP is a teacher (there for a mandatory reporter) didn't contact CPS is concerning. Like I get the situation is kinda complicated but usually that's what you're trained to do in situations lile this.

FIL is making a huge mistake BUT, it makes total sense. The guy is in his 60's what is he gonna do sit alone in his house till he dies? To many people are so afraid of dying alone they will comprise if it means they have someone around for the end even if it's a cheater with some sweet words.

I understand when you hit that certain age in life well old age you should decide you know what ain't no point of starting over ever again but the father-in-law is pathetic as hell it's obvious that this woman was cheating on him and yet he decided to defend her actions definition of a simp

Can't tell if this is an update or if the story got it's own video after being in a double story video. I'm having trouble believing this is a true story. The OP is a teacher and assuming they are in the US, teachers are mandatory reporters. Supposedly, OP went to a cop to talk about the stranger's children. A cop is also a mandatory reporter but supposedly the cop and the teacher conspire together to keep the kids. A regular citizen would immediately call the police. MIL might have kidnapped them or had planned on charging her DIL with SA-ing the kids when alone. The story seems shot through with the lack of child protection and lack of consequences that you'd find in fiction.

It'd also be great to be able to tell how long a singular story is by looking at the video duration!!
