The fact this woman said that OP ruined her life by not taking her back after she was "having a little bit of fun" shows she's a true narcissist. No you didn't have a bit of fun. You cheated on him, left him, showed no remorse and was condescending as he was begging you not to leave then got what you deserve when your AP called you an old woman who was only good for a good time. And somehow it's OPs fault? Karma is a bitch

I love how she basically called their marriage loveless but wanted to return to it when she's now alone and got cheated on. If I was OP, I would save the clown honking noise as her ringtone for her contact.

She said it was a loveless marriage. By her own words, she didn’t love him, she wanted a financial safety net. Hell, she probably figured she could force the kids to forgive her by saying their father had. It’s all just emotional manipulation when she doesn’t actually care about these people, she’s treating them like a backup family when she was ready to run off and abandon them for her younger boyfriend who didn’t even see them as a couple

TBH thats one of the most healthy responses towards an AP I've heard in those stories in a while. If you're in a monogamous relationship, its **you** and **your partners** responsibility not to cheat on each other. It's NOT some stranger 3rd parties responsibility to respect your relationship and not flirt with you or your partner. If you and your partner are loyal people it literally doesn't matter if the most charming, rich, famous, perfect 10/10 tries to flirt with them, they WILL reject that 3rd party and cut contact the moment they realize what's going on, otherwise they aren't loyal.

I agree but I also know so few couples actually talk about this. Normally in a marriage after a bit, the husband and wife start building their careers and working more. They both trust each other and if they have children their focus is on work, keeping the home clean and updated, children and children's activities and then each other. Life gets mundane but for those that stay together these are the awesome times. However, outside dudes who know how to prey on women like this and are experts at getting women to sleep with them are real. I know of a dude who has slept with over 50 married women. He targets women in the 4-7 years of marriage timeframe. Dude has a template and says how easy it is to get so many women to sleep with him. He is scum and I hope bad things happen to him but one would be a fool to ignore that there is a pattern here. Yes there are some women that turn this dude down, he says he can tell quickly, but a dude who works with another woman? That dude can take his time and he gets to spend 8 hours a day with her if not more. 8 hours where he doesn't have to take the garbage out, there are no kids, etc. He can be the perfect dude in her eyes, all while he will be figuring out cracks in the marriage and saying crap like "I would never do what your husband did." when she complains. In short husbands and wives need to talk about these tactics being used by other men and learn how to defend against it. Also so few understand how God awful divorce is and what their life would be after it.

One thing stands out here: The sheer stupidity. Even if the AP wasn't leading her on does not mean that he was automatically ready to have her in his house. I mean, you can be in love with someone, but that is not a quarantee that you are instantly ready to take your relationship to the next level. What did she expect? That she could blindside him like this without any previous serious convertation?? How stupid can someone be ffs?

100% NTA. The fact she had a mental breakdown when her AP admitted to only using her as a cheap toy to mess around and not really liking her in the way she assumed and instead of taking accountability, she goes on to babble about how she’s “the victim”. Why is she even surprised that OP refused to welcome her back after what she did? What did she expect would happen? If cheating is supposed to be a mistake you don't keep doing it for two years. By then she did it because she wanted to keep doing it and she already had a bag packed showed she didn't want to give the marriage another try. Only after her decisions backfired on her does she want to. And if he had actually let her back in how long before she did it again because she never apologized for her behavior before.

This literally how emotional abuse affects a person 12:08 -12:39 that’s how it feels. If your in an emotionally abuse relationship weather it’s platonic or romantic it’s not ok. It’s extremely difficult to leave because part of you sees it as normal especially if no one has said anything or if you grew up with it. But TURST me you will always become a stranger person for not only recognizing but also trying to get out. I’m trying to distance myself from certain family members right now because the emotional abuse I have gotten all my life is unbelievable and unbearable to me. To believe that even happened is EXTREMELY HARD! You think if your fault got it yet. You think they will change. They never do. Narcissists don’t learn. Well very rarely like 0.000000001% that they will. Also the best thing you can do if your in an escape goat relationship. Is realize in fact it’s not your fault. But also it’s not your job to change the other person.

I'm going to say this much... A twenty something year old guy or girl, should never be going after someone 20 years older than them. Even if its just for a "good time," because in sad truth, there is nothing to gain from it. That age gap is real, and it's not just something to throw to the side when someone is just looking for a "good time." Actual feelings or lives can be ruined. Maturity levels are completely different due to life expericences or lack of. That is why you should never involve yourself with someone with that kind of age gap. She made her bed, now she can lay in it. There is no coming back after two years of cheating on your significant other. Heck not even after one time. Cheating is cheating and it necer ends good for either party.

Hey, word to the wise. If you're going through a divorce with someone, especially an ugly divorce, do not block them until after it's done. If they send you vile things, make sure you share them with your lawyer. If they threaten you, report them to the cops. Additionally, keep as much communication as possible in writing. It may not make a difference in court, but it never hurts to have proof of vitriol from someone you're in a legal battle with.

If you gonna base this on the storys from Reddit , Is just the guys who post on Reddit are normally more soft emotional guys who need outlet for they are feelings and problems . especially if they have focused on they are wifes for X amount of years . The reality there is no base for this things . Men cheat as much as women and but one thing i gotta say is that there is one personality trait of most cheaters and thats the narcissistic one and is always about them and what they want . Like in this case his wife was so sure of herself about how Matt was gonna take her , because she is her and thats how should be .

Yeh that's what Hollywood and Disney did to all us, sold us a fake fantasy, sadly many bought it, few did realize it was fake before it was too late, others still keep and hols it with a false hope it be real, others realize it's fake when it's too late, and some many ones even after realizing it's fake they still hold it hopping sometime it turn real

11:11 All cheaters typical Gaslighting comeback. Call it a lil bit of fun and normalised it. When their AP wont accept it.

Pretty much the same thing that happend to my buddy in the service. His wife cheated, literally abandoned him and took everything in thier appartment to live with a younger man. He filed for divorce and she didn't contest it at all. Later his now X wife found out she was being cheated on and the dude kicked her to the curb. She called my buddy looking for a " second chance " but he had already moved on and found someone new. So get this It was his x wife younger sister or step sister. Anyways last I heard they were happy and he left the military and is doing well with his own business. Family reunions must be awkward.

i dont get the wife at all. was she living in a cloud? she decides by herself to leave her husband for another man after cheating on him for 2 years without first confirming with the AP if is ok to make that move? also burning bridges while doing so (i mean burning an already burned one because of the cheating, but saying that this is a loveless marriage is a twist of the knife)

Not condoning cheating at all... but I am baffled at how many of them don't secure the AP before burning bridges. Like, wouldn't that be the first logical step?

Lmao. She didn't even talk to her AP before leaving her husband.. I mean I'm glad because now the husband see's who she really is but damn that's funny. She monkey branched and fell on her ass. Now she wants her fall back option until she can find someone else to branch to. When she said he was selfish and didnt think about her at all i wish he said "you mean like how you were selfish and didnt think about me or the kids while you were all over matts D.? How dare you say im selfish for not thinking about you. Why would i think about the woman who obviously thinks so little of me she cheats, leaves, gets dumped and then expects me to roll over and take her back.? I am not and will never be your doormat. Besides we both know you only wanna come back until you can find another AP." Id love for ex to see OP and kids with another woman happy while shes alone and miserable. Lol.
