I listen to Dimash every day as well. It's a kind of therapy for the soul. We get some of that light from heaven when we listen to him. He's a gift. I looked up Kudaibergen once and one of the things said it was a Turkish name that meant "Gift from God."

Yes, Igor Krutoy came out of retirement came to compose for and accompany Dimash. He was a professional writer, composer, and I think, also a singer. He had spent his whole career waiting for the perfect talent to come along to sing his songs. And then he found Dimash Qudaibergen - The rest is a fantastic and beautiful partnership. You'll notice whenever he's playing for Dimash's performances he doesn't have any music in front of him. He watches and plays to Dimash's every move like a well-orchestrated masterpiece.

@ janettetippetts.....If Igor is at the piano, he wrote the song. He's a world famous pianist, not so much the singing. Since he and Dimash began collaborating , he has written songs just for Dimash's abilities.

This song composed by Igor Krutoy with lyrics by Russian poetess Valerya Gorbacheva was written in 1994 specifically for the composer's Creative Evenings series and was originally performed by famous Russian singer Alla Pugachev. It won “Song of the Year” in 1994 and the Ovation prize for “Song of the Decade” in 2001. A number of artists covered this song, including Lara Fabian who rewrote the lyrics for her performance. Dimash performed this song at the 2019 "A Gift for Alla" Concert celebrating the 70th anniversary of Alla Pugacheva in Moscow at the State Kremlin Palace. Dimash’s interpretation of this song is absolutely stunning, showcasing his unbelievable range as well as his exquisite control over the dynamics of the song. The arrangement with Igor at the piano and the string orchestra in the background is both lush and elegant like most of Igor’s compositions. What a wonderful birthday present for Alla and the rest of the audience!

I am glad you enjoyed this song, as always a pleasure to be along on your journey into Dimash. It is definitely one of my favourites. Though I have many as certain songs are my favourite based on my own mood or what I am doing. This song is a journey. I always feel like he starts by talking to himself/his heart. Then talking to his love, then rejoicing that he has found that love. Ending by in a sense shouting from the roof top feeling. Telling everyone far and wide he has such a love. Just the way the song makes me feel. 😊

Exactly! Someone once explained that Alla Pugacheva sang the song rather angrily about all the wrong men she loved until just that one right one came along, and Dimash sings it as a love song to perfect love.

Кто помнит, Пугачева пела ее впервые, когда была замужем за Кирокоровым - кто помнит, тот понял. Спасибо, тебе, Филя за мое женское счастье. Мёд в уши поклонникам Аллы Борисовны.😛 НО! В прочтении Димаша - все изменило, нет приобрело новый смысл. Посмотрите как драматургически точно выстроена песня. Начало - тихое, светло-печальное - Герой описывает свои чувства, середина песни - вспоминает прошлое, давая всему новую оценку, ближе к финалу - обращение к любимой и благодарность Женщине, просто как у Куприна в Гранатовом браслете - Да святится имя Твоё и мощный жизнеутверждающий финал, бесконечный, обращённый к Любви, Вере и Надежде. Well, whatever negative thoughts I shared with you about Shaman, I will now share the opposite ones. I first became aware of Dimash in February 2017 and I immediately became (what I would find out a bit later) a lifelong Dear - and my admiration for him has only grown over the years. Along with being, in my estimation, the best vocalist on the planet, Dimash is the best human being as well. This song is one of my favorites! And, BTW, Igor Krutoy is not only Dimash's pianist. He is also the composer of this, as well as many other songs, that are in Dimash's repertoire!!! Apparently, Krutoy loves writing for Dimash, because he can compose songs that only Dimash is able to sing. Thank you for another great reaction, John!!!

Dimash has at least 3 versions of this song - Igor Krutoy, Russian composer/conductor extraordinare came out of retirement to work with and write for Dimash - their collaboration is based on friendship and respect, not contracts . If you can watch this song performed at Slavinskai Bazzar but wait - he is stranded on stage and has something to say - he will be overwhelmed with flowers -there's also another version of this from Moscow, New Year's Eve - it is one of his most powerful performances!

Your take on "the piano player" was a lot understated. Igor Krutoy is a renowned Russian composer, songwriter, singer, and arranger with a decades-long career. After hearing Dimash sing, Krutoy chose to come out of retirement specifically to collaborate with him. You will often see him on the piano during Dimash's performances and when you do you can rest assured that he has had an integral part in the song and/or performance. He has composed, written, and occasionally rearranged his earlier music for Dimash to perform. Together, they form one of the most influential musical partnerships of our time.

Igor Krutoy was completely retired. He wasn't semi retired, but after hearing Dimash, he had to play for him. Igor is a famous Russian Composer.

Igor Krutoy "the piano player"! Lol Is one of the richest, most creative and we'll known composers in Russia - a billionaire. He came out of retirement because of, specifically, Dimash because he wanted to compose for him realizing Dimash could go where no man had gone before. This is also why he is composing songs now that are tailor made for Dimash's abilities that practically no one else has the range or ability to sing. Time, my young friend, for you to do your homework and study up on your subject a wee bit more I think. Aside from that, obvious, failing your assessments and analysis of Dimash are right up there from an artistic analysis with the best. You also have an eloquent and wonderfully intelligent ability to verbally characterize and express what is happening from the artistic side and its emotional effects. But, to all we dears, references like you made re Igor as (just) a piano player who came out of retirement?! Lol Well, I think you can see how funny that is to us and it lessens your credibility. It's kind of a myth that Krutoy was retired. He is a self-made billionaire who is involved in real estate, media and music. Among other things he co-owns a tv station. Guys like that don't retire and he never retired. When he started working with Dimash he had a ton of other projects going on around the same time. He was a judge on some American Idol like singing competition, worked with other singers, Diana Ankudinova for instance. I think the only thing he may have taken back up again when he met Dimash is composing.

Igor Krutoy was and is one of the biggest giants, legends of the music industry in post soviet countries, he composes music and writes songs and they all are hits. This song was sung by Alla Pugacheva originally. Dimash has an unbelievable voice. on a side note the english subtitles do no justice to the delicately beautiful, unearthly emotions of the poetry coming out of this song.

To me his speaking voice is sexy as hell. Makes me do the gittery goisebumps all over and warm ump.

I love the composer Igor.. In all of Dimash’s performances his composer always just chills and plays the piano, all while we sit in amazement with our mouths open..❤

I'm a 56 year old multiple instruments musician... lifelong music lover. Until about a month ago I've NEVER listened to a song BECAUSE of the singer. It took Dimash. What makes it WEIRD is that I don't like the style of music he does and I don't like the style of singing he does. And yet... I'm COMPLETELY ensnared by him. Just throwing this out there... I'm totally straight and have been married my entire adult life.

In spite of being a die hard metal fan, I would argue with anyone who said this guy hasn't the most amazing voice. I love his version of the Diva dance and daididau a Kazakh song with a really sad back story it's beautiful and not reacted to enough 🇬🇧
