Sinful Passion For those who like information about Dimash's songs: The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash reinvigorated the song (originally this song was sung in two octaves and Dimash takes it to 5 Octaves Vocal range). In addition, he added the final part, with a guttural oriental technique (where he makes a particular sound by rapidly vibrating his voice, and with this voice he looks up and then points his hand down because he was honoring the original singer of whom he was a fan) . The song was originally performed in 1998 and the name of the band is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakh pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The late singer (of whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by poet Ilia Reznik along with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboard player, which we see in Dimash's accompanying video. In this 2018 presentation, Dimash meets the famous Ukrainian-Russian composer, pianist and billionaire Igor Krutoy, who is the man in the white shirt in the first final who stands up to applaud him and who was retired and who returned from retirement because of Dimash, since he was the voice that he had always been waiting for his music, from there began a friendship and collaboration of many more successes with Dimash- Greetings from Panama.

That traditional type of singing is a tribute to the original singer who has passed away, I am not sure what it’s called, but in your Dimash journey you will most likely hear it again. I love how you immediately caught on to the fact that Dimash was vocally becoming a violin, he quite often does things like that, which is wonderful. I absolutely love your Dimash reactions, the sincere appreciation for what he is doing is great. I am also really glad that you are watching the videos about Dimash, they have so much information about Dimash and there’s even a really silly one, obviously he takes music very seriously, but he has a great sense of humor. I love the richness of his baritone range as well. Thank you John, you just made my Saturday night , love to everyone from a North Carolina Dear ❤.

Glad you reacted to this Dimash masterpiece. A few things. The yodel/trill is a traditional Kasac/central Asian technique. It is used in mourning and it wasDimash’s tribute to the leader of A-Studio who passed away. They wrote this song and accompanies Dimash in this performance. Another thing, the gentleman in the white shirt who stands up to applaud Dimash is Igor Krotoy a famous Russian composer who, upon seeing Dimash, came out of retirement to write music specifically for him( Olimpico, Stranger and others)

One of the techniques you heard is called zhoktau. It’s that incredible vocal run. It’s not in the original song, but was included in this particular arrangement. Zhoktau is an ancient Kazakh vocal style used for lamentations. It’s done in tribute to one of the original Group A Studio musicians, their vocalist, Batyrkhan Shukenov, who originally sang this song. Batyrkhan Aga passed away at the age of 52.

Dimash worked on this piece for three years. Also, he wrote the script for it as well, because it's more of a short film than an MV. Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Thank you for your great reaction. These middle easter sound he does in one or another song. It’s really awesome. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. And I love his outfit. It's just great. Like James Bond🥰. The Triangle-guy’s name is Ilya Pokrovskiy and he is a great percussionist and plays in Dimash's band at his concerts. You should see the drumms duels between the two at the end of every concert. 23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. Unbelievable. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2018. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest. The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄. This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible. In this case he thanked the band A-Studio. It’s a Kazakh band who wrote this song. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion, much better 😄. If you like some really great fancam versions then I recommend the one from the Moscow concert: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6yAytmfdqm7gdY.html Or another one from the Arnau concert: kzread.info/dash/bejne/i355zqmBYsvXpdo.html They are all a bit different Please react next to Olimpico from his Arnau concert in 2019. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and so commanding😱. There he is such a Beast😳! It’s absolutely stunning. Gasping and racing heart and I’m not even talking about him singing. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯 kzread.info/dash/bejne/lp-EtZitaJfXl5c.html Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

The unique section of vocals is, I believe, called "melisma," a Middle East technique based on the fact that they "express" different parts of the notes. He had a Middle Easten friend who had passed away a year before this performance, so the melisma was in honor of that friend.. Thank you for your wonderful and insightful reactions! Dimash is an undiscovered treasure yet...there are so many things to learn and appreciate about him...from everything I've seen on KZread ( concerts...reactions from vocal coaches, musicians or simple people who don't have the music , as a job ), I realize that we are dealing with aphenomenon, which is gaining momentum among the world's population... more and more people are hearing about Dimash and want to listen to his voice and performance... we have to admit that Dimash is unique, both on stage and off it... I'm very happy that a girl from Romania (where I'm from) was invited by Dimash on stage to perform the chorus of a song and he was so delighted by her voice that he applauded her... Dimash is a example to follow.

Thank you very much for your wonderful reaction. I would like to recommend two other performances of Sinful Passion. Dimash always sings it differently. One fancam is from Moscow concert where you can see him close and clearly and the other one from Arnau tour with the red background. I guarantee you going to like it even more!

Dimash is a little restrained here. This is a professional event. In his more poppy songs, he jumps around and lets the Dears sing with him. Here he is doing warmups with the audience. He's saying "Alemde, berlik bolsun" - 'May there be unity in the world'. - kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZKeFt86umdvLfJs.html

Love this performance and your reaction to it! I’ve watched a lot of videos of vocal coaches trying to explain what Dimash does with his voice near the end, and none of them agree on what it’s called! Out of curiosity, I made a list - take your pick!: Bleating, hammer/impact vibrato, ululation, goat/glottal trill, glottal stop technique/folk flutter yodel/a chord’s tremolo/Tarzan effect, throat staccato, mugam in Azeri/Turkic style or ‘Yakutian’ riff (according to Kanat, Dimash’s father), Kazakh mourning style called ‘zhoktau, glottal bleat, caprino (Italian for little goat) trill, goat’s wiggle, Western throat singing, machine gun vibrato ...and so on

Dimash always surprises with his vocal techniques. sometimes even vocal teachers cannot determine exactly how he did this or that thing))) in a recent performance at a concert in Yerevan (Armenia), he performed a song in Armenian (which he learned in a few hours) and at the end reproduced the sound of the Armenian folk instrument "duduk" in VOICE, it was incredible and also watched the analysis of this performance, the coaches do not understand how he did it and what vocal technique applied

In case you didn't notice, the man in the white shirt giving Dimash the standing ovation at the end of the song, is Igor Krutoy, the famous Ukrainian/Russian composer. After witnessing this performance, he came out of retirement, and started composing for Dimash, including your last reaction, "Stranger". btw: The last run in this performance was 23 seconds long. Love your reactions.
