Isn't it amazing that matt Bellamy composed every part of every single one of them songs. It was the first time I heard these was when I realised his genius! I've been a fan since the first album too!

The orchestral parts within the song are arranged by Matthew Bellamy. He stated he wanted to do this himself as he "never wanted to collaborate with a string arranger as they may make it 'theirs'".

Part 3 is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and it's hard to think that it came from a rock band essentially. Beautiful vocal and piano Melody beautiful string arrangement the perfect amount of bass and drums.

It's a video made by a single Japanese fan that got adopted by the band (the video not the fan), which is seriously cool. He also did Follow Me from The 2nd Law and Aftermath from Drones.

Admittedly not a track I go out of my way to hear much, but if I do it’s always all three parts. I used to ignore it because it was a Symphony but when I did listen it was amazing. As someone has stated once before, it transports you to another world. EDIT: And please watch the offical music video for part 3, it’s beautiful! kzread.info/dash/bejne/X2Sb1c1scc_Wgbg.html It was a fan made video, and then Muse saw it and decided to play Part 3 live for the first (and only!) time while the creator of the video was in the audience, with his video playing on the big screen behind them. Muse then asked him if they could make it the offical video. Apparently they also kept in touch because the same fan then worked with them and made the equally tear-jerking official video for “Aftermath” on their channel!

Part 3 is one of the most beautiful piece of music I ever heard. I remember back in school, I had a work to do for a french subject (since I'm french). It was something like "Choose a song you love, and explain what it means to you." So I choose Exogenesis Part 3 : Redemption. To me, during this song, I always saw the end of a battle between good and evil. There's smoke everywhere on the battleground, and you see some of the protagonist who survived, looking at who had the same chance. And one of them sees something appearing away. It's the main character qualified as a divine strengh against darkness. The soldier who's looking at him, is in tears, happy to see him again. But this powerful warrior, this savior was always only an entity, not a real person. And because his mission has been accomplished, it is time for him to return where he comes from. So his body begins to disintegrate to give way to a shimmering light that takes flight to the sky. The soldiers look at this spectacle of nameless beauty, forever grateful.

Ehh, now you know why we wanted you to listen to this one. I was so happy to see your mesperized reaction at the end. It's amazing, simply amazing. One may praise the melodic complexity or the dynamics, the arrangment, the influences perfectly weaved in, the drama, the themes of despair that turns into hope and the epicness of it but really, it's just incredibly beautiful. I think Muse showed time and time again that Classical music has a place in modern mainstream music and this is probably the one that shows it best (although i would argue that many other tracks, especially on The Resistance, like United States of Eurasia, Unnatural Selection and I Belong to You show it aswell). This is probably, from an objective point of view, their best song (even though it may not be many people's favourite) but you still have plenty of great Muse tracks to check out, and since you have never listened to anything from Simulation Theory, i recommend either Algorithm, The Dark Side or Blockades.

Part 3 is my favorite composition of all time. All I have to do is imagine it in my head and I get chills. The emotion is unparalleled. The first two parts are just as noteworthy of course, but they don't pull on my heartstrings as much as part 3 does. I will never understand how Exogenesis is not considered Muse's magnum opus by more fans. Citizen Erased, Knights of Cydonia, Stockholm Syndrome, all good songs but they don't hold a candle to this symphony imo.
