Chase Kalisz has a very similar stroke style in all four strokes to IMer and flyer Laszlo Cseh: his butterfly recovery brings his arms high above the water and employs centripetal propulsion in addition to the underwater pulling as he swings his arms back in front of him. For backstroke, both Kalisz and Cseh have a slow stroke rate compared to the likes of Phelps, Lochte, or Murphy, again focusing on distance per stroke via stretching the arms as much as possible during the recovery as opposed to just underwater propulsion like faster stroke rates do. In breaststroke Kalisz is certainly better than Cseh (or anyone else really), and his breaststroke style is interesting in that after he pulls and brings his arms to his chest, he pushes his arms back fully stretched in front of him AFTER he submerges his head. Most breaststrokers do this at the same time. Kalisz's freestyle is also similar to Cseh; they both have a recovery that, on the breathing side, makes the forearm higher than the elbow (or at least at an obtuse angle) compared to that of people like Phelps, whose arm angle in the recovery is much narrower. Kinda leads me to believe Kalisz based his form off of Cseh, who was very successful in the IMs

You're right. I only really noticed that link in the butterfly. Cseh did really well with that comeback speed of his.

Chase has a unique entry in his fly with palms out compared to down. Wouldn't that be less efficient?
