A younger man introduced himself to me a couple of months ago. I asked him how he knew me, and he said from there, Tim Hortons. He's very handsome, very sweet, but he is still healing from an accident, and personal stuff. I heard him say he does not want to get involved in a relationship, so, we are just friends which is fine with me. Any time we see each other, we have a nice chat, then, I get a nice hug from him.
Yes that’s the way I feel about dating online. I rather meet someone in person like the olden days!🤗❤️

Exactly the way it happened for me. I'm 63. My husband passed away 2 years ago and the man I met bought a vehicle that I was selling. That is how we met 8 months ago.

Love what you’re saying that the dating experience today does allow us to have insight into ourselves and realize what we truly want in an relationship, rather than jumping in mindlessly as our parents’ generation mostly did.

Yes, people have become complacent because online is easy & addictive. I also think it is difficult to vet opportunistic people and psychopaths
I’ve been single 6 years. Working hard with a psychologist and would love a healthy loving relationship. I have periodically tried online but it’s triggering, traumatic and discouraging. The first dates I have been on, was a no for me. Thank you for the wonderful tips Johnathan 🌷 I’ll work on being hopeful, open and positive… keep working on myself. 🌸
My ex was always competing with me, and unwilling to accept me for who I was. He tried to make me feel less than, even though I was more driven and accomplished than him. So yes, he used gaslighting, too. He became quite toxic, and angry when he couldn't have the upper hand.

I also found this to be true with the man I met. What type of man competes with his sweetheart 🧐 ? I would have to say we are living in a psychologically damaged society
I hate being lectured as an adult myself and I totally agree with you.
Julianne, you don’t have to worry about being less than polite to a guy who is just after sex. Screw curiosity if you’re feeling a lack or f respect. Move on girl, there’s better out there

I thought this was one of your best videos - totally in the flow. Julieanne also addressed a relatable issue. It is off-putting when men ask nothing about you or don't try to know you but yet want something from you in return. I understand her concerns, but maybe they don't realize they're doing this and we should bring it to their attention. 🤔

Finally I have the power to stay true to myself, and agree mostly with what you say and how you believe... I truly hope( yes I believe in the adage of 'hope' like you do) Shawshank redemption makes me cry at the end when he talks of hope 😊, I digress. I truly hope that I'll get to meet you someday, to smile, say thank you and give you a hug... 🙏💕

I have the same experience with Younger men. They can be appealing as friends but will usually back off seeking anything more when I let them know they're too young for me. As kindly and subtly as possible. Its not about the physical. Younger men grew up in different time periods with different music, different aspects of humanity's evolution. They do not appeal to me as potential life partners. I want the common experience & perspective. And there is a wisdom factor. There are cycles of life. No matter how deep you are. You develop over time. LOVE this video. You are rocking this one Jonathan. Thank you.🌻

People put a lot of emphasis on having a relationship with oneself. While it's true that not everyone needs to be in a relationship with another person in order to be healthy and whole, navel-gazing is NOT healthy and NOT spiritual. Obsession with "self" will be one's downfall, and it is the very reason why so many divorces are even happening. People are getting more and more SELFish. If someone claims to be "spritual," they should read Matthew 7. 😮Many, many people will hear the most horrifying words ever spoken from Christ: "I never knew you." What good is a woman who gains the whole world but loses her soul? Ladies... look up. Stop looking for a MAN to give your life meaning. Not possible.

I don’t like online dating. As Dr Tatkin said most people are @ss 🕳️. How about having a form with a background check, health & financials. 🤣. This may need to be after the first or second date. Jonathon please be sitting in the back seat with your shot gun, LOL . There are so many opportunists lurking 👀. On the beer question. I just dated one and the Peter Pan Syndrome fit him perfectly. He was more concerned with impressing his drinking “groups” than putting his interests in a relationship. Drop him right away. Just be yourself and you attract the person who meshes with you. I am done with the opportunists & Peter Pans. It would be great if a man with ethics shows up on the path of life.

Jonathon that you ignored my description of my trauma is not encouraging. Most men will do this as they don’t know how to answer or want to avoid this topic. I understand this but it is not helpful. There are good men out there certainly, not all men are good guys. This does not give me a very good impression. Maybe I should think of a better way to illustrate this

This is the most valuable content and the best of all your KZreads. All of them so far are really good. In fact I do share some from your Channel with my single friend. We are both in our early sixties, single and have found ourselves struggling to find that mutual attraction necessary to want to even move to date one. Yikes! Hopefully I can shift from my jaded attitude by listening to more of your KZreads. ❤
