Special effects by God. NFL requested to hold a game during his concert. And the brilliant use of a bedsheet and a couple of lights. Like wow!

When told it didn't look like it was going to stop raining and if he wanted to still go up. Prince reportedly replied with "can you make it rain harder?"

There will never be a better half-time show. The genius, the musicality, the showmanship, and the pure talent that is Prince will never be replicated!

Not just his own songs but he played Jimi Hendrix and Foo Fighters and Tina Turner during the set! A lot of the personnel there that day said he was so cool to pay tributes to other artists!

Prince is the GOAT but shout out to the twins dancing on that surface with god damn stilettoes on.

Greatest halftime show ever. Nope I said it! It was like “oh there’s gonna be a foot ball game at a Prince mini concert!” We miss him like no other. The estate and the NFL should team up and release this with the commentary included on dvd. Just an idea.

They play it on a loop as you exit the tour of Paisley Park and enter the gift shop. I didn’t want to leave!

This is hands down the best super bowl performance, it rained during Purple Rain, enough said. Performing in the rain is NOT easy dude!

Eric Clapton was asked how it feels to be the greatest guitarist of all time. His response was “I don’t know, go ask Prince”. He played so many instruments. I toured Paisley Park and in one of the studios there were multiple rooms for him to play EVERY instrument on a track. So ridiculously talented. I am glad I live near Paisley Park so I can go tour there whenever I want.

Everybody on this planet knows that any other artist would not even think of performing in a downpour...but then again Prince was not just "any other artist". Seriously who wants it 2 ACTUALLY rain harder than it already was....and perform it LIVE? Honestly by the time it was over I Honestly believed the the people in the stands 4got that they were there 2 c a game. Only Orince could make every1 that there was a football game at all.

What a great review/reaction 🤩. When Prince played, it was soon after wardrobe malfunctiongate and the censors were at high alert. So when Prince played his guitar behind the giant sheet, his guitar was a giant phallic symbol 🍆 and was Prince snubbing the censors (who he has had a longtime feud with) Also the Foo Fighters were hanging with Neil Peart and Rush when unbeknownst to them Prince was covering Best of You. Someone ran out to tell them Prince was covering them at the Superbowl. They said "cool"!. He did this because they covered Darling Nikki without telling him. Prince was the only artist (as far as i know)who added multiple covers to his Superbowl setlist. Sampling Queen, Dylan, CCR AND Foo Fighters. All live! No lip syncing like so many including MJ. Or air banding like Red Hot Chili Peppers(embarrassing). Real music played by real musicians. Legendary halftime performance. Master at his craft.! RIP Prince 💔

I remember watching this on tv when it broadcast and being in the palm of that man’s hand. He had a millions in the palm of his hand that night. Pouring rain and in danger of being electrocuted…he asked if they could make it rain harder…Total command of every note, every movement, every pause. It was and still is magic. Best halftime show ever. (With the disclaimer that I’m very much looking forward to Mary, Eminem, Dr. Dre…). ❤️

The Greatest halt time show ever .. Reasons why: Nobody plays guitar like that. Nobody gets the crowd to sing like that.
