As someone from LA, this was really special for us. It felt really personal especially the set representing Compton. The tam’s burgers, which was the sign on the set, are all over LA so it was really cool seeing that! Also Kendrick, Dr.Dre, and Snoop all being from the LA area makes it even more special cause they got that born & raised love for LA.

Most people definitely go for the game. Half time shows are culturally an American thing. It starts in high school football games with the bands during half time then college and then pros. We just live in a different culture. Because high schools in America have its own stadiums in all sports and even so much bigger in college. Depending on some schools even middle schools 6-8th grade have it’s own stadiums. Everything is just big in America and we love our sports.

Exactly! The SB half time show is just an added bonus; from High School to College, it's just how it is in America, and yes we love our sports. Btw, the NFL doesn't pay for the half time performance; the performers are the ones who pay for the high exposure. Hence; Dr Dre paid something close to 7 million to perform.

Everyone performing, except Kendrick is a Gen Xer, just like 50 (52 for me) year old moms. You’ll never be as cool as your mom was, or is!! 🤓 And that little move Snoop does when Dre sings, “untouchable like Elliot Ness,” is the crip walk. You need to find a 50 year old Middle aged white (or any race) woman to teach you about old school rap/hip hop! Much love!

No. Just no. You *know* Snoop Dog/Dre/Tupac, etc., and you may appreciate them now, but most of you didn't love them when you were young - and your Boomer/"Greatest Generation" parents HATED them, and were often outright racist towards them. Black people remember. White people have always had have to view black people and our culture through the lens of hindsight before they are able appreciate us. It's preferable if we are dead - then you'll REALLY appreciate us and see the light. It's only now that white people are coming to respect rap/hip hop - especially now that this music is the most dominant form of music in the world today, and your kids listen to it as their standard form of music. However, your music was Madonna, Nirvana, and Green Day - which is great, but let's not pretend that this music is your music. It was music that played in the backgrounds of your lives, which is why it brings you nostalgia, but you're not a fan of this music, nor were you when you were 25. Only a minority of you truly were. Tupac would be absolutely amazed at the types of people claiming to love his music now.

I understand it's "cool" to claim it now as a 50-year-old, when this music is having its moment, but nobody will ever be fooled into thinking white Gen Xers as a whole truly appreciated this music at the time. In the USA, on network TV, all explicit lyrics must be cleaned up or they will be cut. It’s also true of mainstream radio. This was a live show, so the network and Pepsi demanded a “clean” show from the artists. Cable is more relaxed, but oh well. Us Americans are endlessly grateful that men in gray suits are there to protect us from the terrible sinful damage a few swear words could inflict on our delicate sensibilities.

Dre didn't produce Loose Yourself its an Eminem production. Some of Eminems most successful hits are produced by Em and not Dre. People just assume everything is done by Dre but Em is a brilliant (under rated) producer, produces his own beats, writes his own hooks and is the creative direction behind his videos. And produces for a lot of top tier rappers eg Em produced Renegade, he wrote it for Royce da 5'9 ... ended up giving it to J. His creative talent is brilliant. Great reaction 🤟🔥🍿

Its funny because Dre was also told to not say still not loving police and just did not care at all. Snoop was told not wear any gang related clothing but his outfit was a crip suit the crips are the gang he is in and he threw up gang signs. It just funny they didn’t care because they don’t get paid for this so there was no risk
