Like Fátima, the Medjugorje visionaries promise a sign for all to believe. In Fátima, the sign happened; the children were telling the truth. We’ll see what happens with Medjugorje... in the meantime it would probably be wise to pray, fast and do penance. 😇

Father, please look into the origins of Medjugorje. It is dark stuff, really dark stuff. The priest who laid the foundation for it was a suspected war criminal (Fr. Thomas Vlasic - not sure how to spell his last name but is sounds like Vlasic). He also got a nun pregnant and had promised to leave the priesthood to marry her but he didn't. He was the first spiritual director for the "visionaries". There is a record on video of the so called visionaries in "ecstasy" but it is clear due to the reaction of one of the visionaries that she was not in ecstasy and later made an excuse for why she had flinched when someone touched her face - she said she moved because the Blessed Mother was about the drop Baby Jesus and she was going catch Him (all of this is on record, meaning it is recorded audio and video both of the "ecstasy" and the "visionary" explaining why she moved. Father come on ,will you please please go back to the beginning of the whole apparitions .Why won't you look at facts ,they are undeniable.They are there for you to read.All the prayers and confessions are great not because of medjugorie but because they are good in themselves.War is of Satan ,but many people get to do unbelievable holy things because of it ,this doesn't make war welcome.E Michael Jones does a great job of explaining the facts ,he went there at the very beginning ,investigated the whole thing and wrote a book ,listen to him.He paid a huge price for telling the truth on abortion at the beginning of his career ,he is not a liar.

The apparition has inspired disobedience.

I've been there 6 times....there is definitely something spiritual happening....The peace you feel there is something undescribable. It has definitely changed my life and has strengthened my faith!

I didn't really believe in what was happening until I went to Medjugorje, myself and two other pilgrims had a supernatural experience there which changed my life as I had lost my faith prior to going. It's a very special place and I would say please reserve judgement until you have been. Our Lady always rewards the pilgrims in some amazing way.

I’ve been to Medjugorje 3 times, amazing place. Last time I heard demons cry out in people, 1 at the place of apparitions, 2 during confession. Medjugorje has good fruits.

I’m so late to the party of Medjugorje, and didn’t even hear about it until 3 years or so, but within a month or two I had become convinced and entrenched with the gift of Our Lady of Medjugorje and it has definitely reignited my faith and has a large impact on my life already which I only expect will continue to grow.. but then again I have had a special call it a spiritual connection with The Virgin Mary for many years I get that so many people don’t believe or don’t want to believe or only Jesus is the Lord and Savior ( which is exactly what The Mother has been saying and trying to bring as many souls as possible to her divine son she can ) as every single person has “free will” and we all use it and there’s not a census, so be it and for those that disagree with me, not an issue And then there’s a huge amount of people who are just plain Atheists or lazy in faith or don’t care as long as they’ve put themselves first in all matters ..

I was there last week with my sister and friend. It was wonderful and we were graced with the miracle of the sun and a photo which we took where the Divine Mercy rays were clearly visible. We are 3 professional practicing catholic women and would be careful and cautious about whom and how we share our faith. My only son is studying for the Dominican Priesthood - he also visited Medjugorge 4 years ago. I personally don't need or look for signs as I have all I need in my parish church. But I can say that Medugorje is very a very special place of prayer and the world needs all the help it can get and it's up to us how we live our faith out in our daily lives by prayer, fasting, scripture, rosary and confession.

Pullsee no, the devil cannot hijack the graces during and after the rosary. He flees in terror whenever a rosary is prayed! I know from personal experience so l confirm with truthfulness the power of the Rosary, which is also Biblical too! (all the prayers of the rosary are scriptural prayers transferred into roses at the feet of Jesus! Hence explains the beautiful name: Rosary = roses for Jesus!) Pray the rosary

Yes but the Grace came from your prayers.... not because the Blessed Mother is appearing there. We have to be obedient to the Church mean time there are many approved message and apparitions. @@amanahan1001 True, but that isn't to say that people can't be led to Christ by other means. How about those people who have a conversion experience even though they never prayed before? How about the fact that the environment at Medjugorje has inspired many to pray and fast when previously they didn't? Years ago, on the TV program, "Mysteries of the Unexplained", the purported miraculous cures of three people were examined --I have that program on tape. One of them was of a lady called Rita Klaus, who suffered from MS. About thirty years later, the thought came to me, I wonder what ever happend to her, if her illness returned? So, I went on the internet and came across a link to her daughter, who I subsequently emailed her and asked what happened to her mom? She replied that her mom was still healthy, that the MS never returned, and she was living in Florida with her husband. If that was the work of Satan, then in my view he too must have converted to Christ !

Went there in 2015 with my husband and daughter and each of us were given miracles. No matter what people/church say, we know what we saw and what we experienced cannot be denied as coming from God! And many of our friends also have experienced many miracles there!

I was in Medjugorje 09/2007. I had 3 very special experiences. I would not trade it for anything in the world. I’m glad they approved it as a pilgrimage site. It was such a beautiful area. I enjoyed going to mass daily which included a long walk through vineyards. I do hope to go to Lourdes & Fatima. The crazy thing is that I felt called to go to Medjugorje when I was 13 years old. I didn’t even know anyone who went there. I’m 51 now.

Nothing is impossible with God. Only time itself will prove its authenticity but we should be glad that this Apparition has been bringing a lot of people with a reconciliation with God.

Caution is paramount. Medjugorje might be the site of many conversions, but that doesn't mean the messages are from God or Our Lady. A false seer or prophet might inspire people to religious faith; God can bring good out of all things. Apparitions in Bayside, NY, for example, were declared false, but if someone were inspired to pray the rosary because of alleged events, then that would be good fruit despite the apparitions themselves being false. It's great that people are coming to God, but this isn't direct evidence that there is no error or deception occurring here. Look at the way so many people are strongly attached or opinionated on Medjugorje. Attachment too spiritual goods can happen, just like people can be attached to material goods. We should rejoice over the outpouring of the graces of God, especially via the sacraments. I'm not well versed in Medjugorje, but people are saying they promote religious indifferentism (religions are equal, etc...). The Church teaches that there is no salvation outside of the one true Faith, just like Noah's ark was the only refuge in the flood. This doesn't mean every non Catholic is assuredly going to hell. It simply means that the Catholic faith is the ordinary means of salvation established by God. Extra-ordinarily, non Catholics may be saved by the grace of God too. But just because people MAY be saved without formal and declared membership in the Church, doesn't mean they WILL. The ordinary and expected means to be saved is through the Catholic Faith. It is the will of God for every person on earth to be a faithful Catholic. Statements of religious indifferentism, or the idea that God positively wills other religions (rather than patiently allows for human error and free will) are very problematic. Satan wishes to deceive the people of God, but he doesn't put all of his cards on the table at once. He says 99% truth and 1% error, then 2%, then 3% and so on. Before people know it they're rejecting the doctors of the Church and the Early Church Fathers for something more "modern". Let's rejoice at the conversion of souls, but let's also uncompromisingly, faithfully, and lovingly preach the fullness of the truth. Viva Cristo Rey!

Just acknowledge that you could be wrong. And you're actually wrong. I suggest that you go. I went in 2018 and all of my doubts and concerns vanished just like that. I also used to feel funny about it, from the outside it does look kinda strange, (before going) but this place is definitely worth the visit. It's a peaceful place though the many pilgrims. A place of communion and conversion. So many people leave with faith in God and return to the Church. This can't be ignored. The number 1 thing in Medjugorje is not the apparition, it is the Holy Mass. You realize it once you set foot there. It is not a place where you see Our Lady. I went and saw by myself and it is amazing. Lourdes is Lourdes, Fatima is Fatima, Medjugorje is Medjugorje. And just like any Marial site, amazing graces are poured upon us. Peace. God bless you

Let us all focus on Jesus and pray to Him, the Father and Holy Spirit, instead of seeking signs and wonders from seers and visionaries. We can't go wrong with the former, and can be easily be led astray by the latter.

But Jesus can use the Blessed Mother and Sainty Visionaries to remind us of forgotten truths...so that Holy Church gives approvals to Private Revelations as worthy of belief. I was very ill in my hometown hospital in Tx I was put in ICU. I had a lot of carbon dioxide.My sister was there next to me telling me to wake up. I couldn’t stay awake, I was trying my best, but I went back to sleep. I felt a tug again .. it was my sister telling not to go to sleep. I was trying my best. She showed me a picture of our heavenly mother Mary..I looked at it..I was going to kiss it, but I had a big mask on my face. It looked like a camera from 1920’s. The Dr had told my sister that he was thinking about putting me in a ventilator. My sister was praying and I could only see our Mother Mary’s picture. Then I woke up, still with the big mask on without my sister by my side. I wanted to talk, but of course I couldn’t. Then I tried to remove my mask then the nurse came in and said not to take it off. Later on, my carbon Dioxide lowered. My oxygen went up.I could take my mask of while being observed. I didn’t need it no More. It was a Miracle🙏 Our Mother interceded for me a poor sinner. I gave her thanks and went my old ways of drinking again and drugs. Then few years later up until 2019 I’m free from alcohol and drugs. I can say I’m home while being in this earth. With all respect to Fr.Mike. I didn’t have to go to another country to be healed, I was healed in my hometown. I don’t have to go to France or Lourdes. I don’t have to go to Jerusalem to walk where our Lord walked, because I can do better. I can go to mass and consume my Lord and savior Jesus Christ and have him running trough my blood. I’m not against people going to pilgrimages, but just know God and Mary are everywhere. They are always calling you.

I have been to Medjugorje and also researched the 'apparitions'. Although I would be happy to be wrong, as it is, I do not believe in their heavenly origin. To the contrary, I am alarmed by the signs, which give me reasons to be so. For example this 'lady' from Medjugorje never has shown her feet, which Our Lady shows everywhere she goes: in Fatima, in Lourdes and this is not a minor detail. Our Lady's feet are to crush satan's head, they are Her 'trademark" and satan fears them more than anything in the world, because he knows, that they will destroy him. Also in Lourdes and in Fatima Our Lady gave a very short notice before she worked out a sign. In Lourdes it was a miraculous spring, in Fatima the sun 'dancing'. Lady from Medjugorje told about the sign long time ago but keeps people waiting rather too long for her style. Also she supposedly have been appearing for nearly 40 years and apart from the beginning, for a long time now she has been appearing with not much to say which is really worth listening to or remembering. Her 'messages' are, sorry to say, devoid of substance, she is repeating herself and what she says looks like insipid, though pious sermons of a very boring clergyman. I fear, that since we are, no doubt, living at the end of time, the satan prepared a very clever trick to mislead many faithful and he is doing it under the guise of 'Our Lady'. I do not question the conversion and faith of the people, who go to Medjugorje. I only worry, that if they build their faith only on 'the lady' from Medjugorje, if that turns out to be a con, their souls may experience a shock and as a result they may lose the Faith. Satan could not be more pleased in such a case. He will get in his trap many. I would advice, for what it is worth, not to attach one's spirituality and faith to Medjugorje. Yes, there is seemingly a plenty of good fruit coming from there. But satan is capable of feeding us with fruit, which can give an indigestion in due course of time. Medjugorje apparitions are not over yet. We are still being fed. Time will show what with.

I learned that Satan is capable of ALL THE VIRTUES BUT ONE, OBEDIENCE. I at first was taken into the whole amazement of this phenomenon, then I started looking into the details, and they are disturbing. From the visionaries touching the garment of apparition and it being like steel. Another time, it vaporizing into A black sooty sulfurous cloud. Also, WHY HASNT ANY PRIEST POINTED THIS OUT, that this apparition said that ALL RELIGIONS ARE EQUAL IN THE EYES OF GOD.!! HOW CAN A CATHOLIC PRIEST THINK THIS IS OKAY, if Catholicismis the TRUE CHURCH????? HELLLLLOOOOOOOOOOO EARTH TO PEOPLE.

To those who are saying they went to Medjugorje and there is not fruit or the fruits don't last: Going to Medjugorje or to any other place of pilgrimage or even at Mass, doesn't make us holy or be saved for ever. It is how we receive the grace and make sure we don't loose it that will make us bear good, abundant and lasting fruits. Did you or your family continue to go to Mass, including daily Mass when possible, read the Bible daily, go to monthly confession, fast Wednesday and Friday with bread and water, pray daily including the rosary. These are known as the 5 stones of Medjugorje. Our Lady often says in Medjugorje that many of us go there but we have no desire to receive Her messages nor to follow Her son. There is not magic there, we ought to do our part. In the other hand, , people did not wait for a pope or even Church recognition before they believed. I don't understand why my fellow Catholics think the Holy Spirit is dead. You can pray to Him for discernment, you know! God bless

@@MikeyJMJ Sorry that I am late in replying to you. I envy your being able to travel to Medjugorje. My father and stepmother did go. But I did the Gospas rosary novena and was able to break free of a great number of sins, and return to confession and Mass. And she did it in such a way that I returned on Divine Mercy Sunday. I had been away from the church and knew nothing about Sr. Faustina or the Divine Mercy image. And yet that is when I had my first lengthy confession and communion.

Hi Fr Mark...I too felt an increase in a desire to love from reading this book. It is simple and foundational. I believe there is an anointing available for those who read it. "Do not resist hope and peace. along with your prayer and fasting, by His cross, my Son will cast away the darkness that wants to surround you and come to rule over you. He will give you strength for a new life". Mar2-2013 AMEN. Fasting, prayer, confession, Mass, Bible---strong foundations.

I got to add, the Saint Michael prayer too. We have to say it every day. It's important. That all the churches say that prayer after every mass too. Also, the devil doesn't want us to pray. Day the prayers before you get tired, make it a habit. Oh, don't let your kids play too much on video games and cell phones, too much TV. Important to make time for Jesus. Teach your loved ones to pray the Saint Michael prayer Everyday. Especially the children. Bad things are coming..

After all, who could in 1917 know of the dangers that would come from Russia and the genocide of Rwanda in Africa was warned by Our Lady in 1981. God does not send the Mother of Jesus for nothing.

The first 7 secrets have been approved by the Church and it would be impossible for the Church to officially approve Medjugorje while Our Lady is still appearing. Our Lady is calling us to pray and fast on a scale much greater than what most of us are doing and if people wait for approval before answering her call, then it will be too late. Even if you don’t believe in Medjugorje, do as she asks because it is the tradition of the Church anyway. If you refuse, then you will be like the servant in Scripture who buried his talent. Pray your rosary, study your faith, read autobiography of the saints (if available) frequent the sacraments, do the 5 first Saturdays, fast, meditation on the passion of our Lord (daily). At Fatima our lady said many nations would be annihilated, let’s pray and put our life in order.

Father Mark, another great clip. There are a number of orthodox, good Catholics rabidly against Medj based on incorrect or incomplete information. I am so pleased you are open to Medjugorje. The common denominator against those so opposed is they have not been to the site. Those very supportive have actually been to Medjugorje and personally witnessed the good fruit.

I have been to both Fatima and medjugorye,both have different Charisma. Medjugorye is a place for conversion. We have lots of young men who felt a calling to priesthood After visiting this place ,addicts and caddle catholics becoming pious and discover deep love for ourlady ,our Lord and our church. The church take a lot of time to aproove. The seers are still having apparitions. It was not different with Lourdes or Fatima that there were a lot of skeptism in the beggining.

Fr. Mark is very right to go to Med and see for himself. Many people here speak without the experience of going to the place to see and judge by themselves. I have been to Med 9 times including during the war there. I have to say that the presence of Our Lady is very strong in that place and many people, one of them myself, have experienced her presence there. I have no doubt that Our Mother is still in Med today. However, I also say that I decided not to go to Med any more because I feel that something false has been introduced in Med at this time. I don't hear the voice of Our Mother in the copy and paste messages reported every month there. I think that many people will convert going there because Our Lady is acting there in many hearts in spite of the visionaries. As regards to Garabandal I recommend you to go the place. The graces that Our Lady is giving in this tiny village are wonderful. I have a house there and spend part of my time there. The position of the Church is of openness to Garabandal awaiting the announcements made during the 2500 apparitions ocurred there from 1961-1965. "Priests, bishops and cardinal go to the road of perdition and drag with them many souls" was said ther by Our Mother and it very hard to be accepted by the local ecclesiastic authorities of the time, although Pope Paul VI was a believer of the apparitions and also JPAUL II, padre Pio, Therese of Calcutta, and other contemporary saints.

Well done Father. I really appreciate that you have an open mind to Medjurgorge unlike some others here. As you said, the fruit of Medjurgorge is all good. How can six people tell the same lie for over thirty years. Electronic testing of the visionarys while they are seeing Our Lady shows that they are in a deep trance. If Medjurgorge is of the devil why would he convert hundreds of thousands, get people to return to confession and attend mass in huge numbers with such great reverence? Not to mention hundreds of vocations to the priesthood. I had the good fortune to visit Medjurgorge a month ago for 7 days. I experienced my own miracle there. As Father said...people opposing Medjurgorge need to be careful....they could End up fighting against God and Our Lady.

True, but after his declaration, the Vatican did the extraordinary thing of over-ruling him and set up a national committee of bishops to further investigate. Unfortunately, the civil war broke out and the Yugoslavia was split up into six separate countries, so there was no resolution. Also, there were major political and long running historical circumstances which tainted the original bishop's conclusions.

Fun fact about the contradictions of the apparition at Medjugorje : It claims the Virgin's birthday is on the 5th of August It claims the Maria Valtorta books are inspired and all true The Maria Valtorta books place the Virgin's birth on the 8th of september, as is tradition. Sooooo.... I guess it speaks for itself

Fr. Groeschel knew this woman very well. He said the last 10 years of her life she was in the darkest state of mental illness. I think it was schizophrenia. Anyway, he eventually believed that she didn't have these messages from Jesus, that it was all part of her illness.

Concerning Medjugorje: (1) When it's fun. (2) To each his own. (3) And all these people will spread a lot of money in this place. (4) Who shares the money and has so a comfortable income?

I hear this, but I know people who talked big about the wonderful things which happened to them when they went; people who claimed healings which no one else could see; people who talked about the outflow of generosity which overtook them after years of hoarding their wealth: Then I watched them lie, steal, treat people badly, and gossip. When I decided against joining the Rosary groups which were started in the name of Our Lady of Medjugorje, I was ostracized for not honoring her which was dishonoring her according to them. They proved to me I was right to stay away. So I prayed the Rosary alone in my apartment or in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. And still I was put down and ignored. Here it is almost 30 years later, the Rosary groups are no longer, and still permission has not been granted.

Same occurred to me! Even after telling them I was 100% believer in the church approved apparitions like Fatima. Lourdes or Akita. I think Medugore is a deception by deceitful "seers".

I encounter similar. They were not as disapproving towards me, but it was as if I were an outsider and didn’t have “true” devotion towards Mary just because I wanted nothing to do with an unapproved apparition that seemed “off”. It also bugs me that people tout that approved apparitions mean it’s truth. That’s NOT what approval means. An approved apparition just means that The Church has deemed it SAFE to believe in. Meaning, they don’t see how belief in it, all that was said and done within it, would hurt believer’s faith. That it won’t hurt or clash with the deposit of faith.

I watched a video that gave a lot of reasons why it is a false apparition site. All previous apparitions of Our Lady brought peace to the area but the area had experienced chaos and stealing since Medjugorje. A bishop was also kidnapped by people visiting the place. The brings about false apparitions to take away from the real ones like Fatima.

Our Lady is awaiting for the first secret to happen. We must trust Our Lady. Much fruit has come out of Medugorje since Our Lady first appeared. Thousands upon thousands have returned to the sacraments especially Confession, Eucharist, Mass, and the Rosary. Many go and return. Have faith! Pray:).

Medjugorje for those who have been known that it is the most peaceful place you can go to. Please do not pass judgement unless you have personally experienced the thing yourself. True there has been war in Bosnia and in various parts of the 'old Yugoslavia'. However having said that on one of the raids our lady protected the place by surrounding the village of Medjugorje with a lot of clouds and all the bombs fell around it and it was saved. Do you know what medjugorje is very famous for...... For all the confessions that go on all day long by the priests from all parts of the world. Also famous for the rosaries and adorations that take place daily there by all the village and all that go to visit. One other famous thing about medjugorje is the number of vocations that came out of the place! Does that sound like a fake to you?

Exactly, Fr. G. The Church cannot approve ongoing apparitions... because they are...ongoing. It can and will only approve apparitions after they are ended.

God rules over each faith just like a sovereign over his kingdom. In the world, all religions are not the same because all people have not complied with the commandments of God. They reject and disparage them."” Fr. Mark, does this sound like something the Blessed Virgin would say? I understand that we should judge Medjugorje by its fruits but you cannot develop an informed opinion from a single book. I respectfully ask you continue discernment on the nature of this ‘apparition’, since that is what is being venerated at Medjugorje-not the conversions of the faithful.

I'm quite skeptical, there are many things said in the visions that go against church teachings. Not only that the "seeers" engage in necromancy to make money from pilgrims... which is condemned in the bible...

Thank you Father for sharing this! I love reading and hearing about Medjugorie. I believe that it is a beautiful gift from God for the world, and always has been. My Dad gave me my first book on Medjugorie in 1983, when I was a young mother. Since that time I have always believed. I understand that the Church has never denounced the apparitions. So I understand that those who believe are free to believe. Even Saint Pope John Paul sent his shoes to Medjugorie since he was unable to go there. Our Lady continually has asked us to fast and pray the Rosary. Thank you for sharing. God Bless You!

Interestingly many of the church people promote medjugorje I would Site Saint John Paul 2, Fr Gabriel Amorth, Fr Laurentin, Mark Miravalle, Marino Restrepo some say saint mother Theresa, The theologian Von Urs Balthazar, I really can’t find a real heresy concerning medjugorje which convinced me 100% the messages seams to be in line with church tradition but to be more for our times in order to fight against the problems of our days

I have been to Medjugorje several times. I have stayed with Mirjana. I believe Our Lady is appearing...she is a loving mother ans knows our world is lost. She speaks simply directing us in baby steps. Thank you Father for sharing...may Our Ladys Heart triumph soon.

Fr. Mark I love your online ministry, but as others have commented , I also encourage you to do more background reading e.g. E. Michael Jones, a catholic journalist, who has an online book available on this and after extensive investigation he dismisses it. Even with your cautionary statement, you still read it out, thus lending it tacit endorsement. Remember St. Paul said that Satan can appear as an angel of light. The devil is the great deceiver. Also scripture warns about wolves in sheep clothing, & many being deceived, including the ‘elect’. If you were able to spend time reading this book, surely for the sake of your ‘online flock’ you might spend some time at least checking out some of the criticisms. There are great things happening but that is within the catholic ministry there not with the so-called visionaries. Please take this as intended, gentle encouragement in pursuit of truth & not criticism. May God bless your great ministry.

Please click on the Read More section in the second reply. Thanks. I will deal with the E. Michael Jones issue later as the focus is Medjugorje. Firstly, I totally believe all the officially approved apparitions i.e. Lourdes, Fatima, Knock etc. No problem at all. It is some of the ‘unofficial’ apparitions that are problematical. Medjugorje being the most prominent of them. Secondly some background. 
Ever since the apparitions at Medjugorje first appeared I have followed and believed them. That is over many decades. Many friends of mine went there, in fact many people from parishes in my area did likewise and set up ‘Medjugorje’ prayer meetings as well. So, I have not changed my mind without a great deal of thought, angst, and actual investigation. I have prayed and fasted about this, so I have not taken my stance likely. Here are some of my reasons for doubting Medjugorje, more serious ones are in the videos below. Scripture tells us to test everything lest we be deceived. * 1 Thessalonians 5:21 “..test everything; hold fast what is good”. * There are many pieces of scripture that warn “many will be deceived” as in Matthew 24:24 “..enough to deceive even the elect, if that were possible”. * Also in Matthew 24:4 “And Jesus answered them, ‘Take care that no one deceives you’. Why should we do this, because Satan is the ‘lier of lies’ and the ‘great deceiver’. Again scripture states: 2 Corinthians 11:14 “even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light”. 
Remember, that there have been many false Marian apparitions before, even I believe, around the time of Lourdes, which led to confusion. Satan always tries to counterfeit. * Genesis 3:1 “Now, the snake was the most subtle of all the wild animals that Yahweh God had made.” So, some issues... * A failed a science test - where one of the visionaries pulled back while - supposedly - in a deep rapture, and then made a very lame excuse that she was afraid that the virgin Mary was going to drop the baby Jesus, and by an amazing coincidence at the same time as the ‘surprise’ test? Really unbelievable. * Our Lady in-tow, travelling on a grand tour across the world with the visionaries appearing at pre-arranged times and locations e.g. in a stadium, outside a hospital, in a home etc. Our Lady does not go on grand tours with visionaries. People turn up to where Our Lady appears aka the real apparitions of Lourdes, Fatima, Knock etc. * What initially made me question the reported statements via the visionaries was the one that said “All religions are the same, it is men who have made the differences’. (available on the official Medjugorje site). The statement would be considered heresy I believe. Fr. Gruner (RIP), also noticed it (in video below). PLEASE CLICK NEXT REPLY

* But ’what about the good fruits’ you say (as per videos)? The issue is that there is a presumption that there is only one source or fruitful tree in Medjugorje. Remember, Satan accompanied Jesus in the desert. To assume that in human affairs there is only good present and not the other is to be very naive. So, it became obvious that there were two trees in Medjugorje bearing different fruits. * The first is the good tree bearing good fruit i.e. the presence of the Catholic Church in Medjugorje. Indeed the church has produced many miracles, especially in the sacrament of confession, and I am not disputing them. Only a small number of videos are still questionable, but the majority seem to be very genuine. * The second is the bad tree producing bad fruit - the reported statements from the visionaries. I am not saying the visionaries are bad, just that they may well be deceived by the evil one, or are being manipulated. Indeed Fr. Gruner noticed that at the start of one apparition Satan appeared instead of Our Lady. The reported reason was that Our Lady wanted the visionaries to know that he (Satan) was real. However, as Fr. Gruner said that Our Lady would never share her glory with Satan. You might say but other visionaries have seen hell etc. but look at the difference. Satan appeared instead of Our Lady, not as a later adjunct vision for the visionaries - e.g. as per Fatima etc. Very different. * In genuine apparitions, to the best of my knowledge, Our Lady is never preceded by Satan. She may be preceded some days in advance by an angel (of light) e.g. as at Fatima, but not instead of an actual appearance of our Lady as happened in Medjugorje. That is to give Satan precedence over Our Lady. She never would do that. As one scripture scholar put it, Satan uses a form of “poison sandwich”. Lots of good things, e.g. pray the rosary - he can say this, as after all he quoted Scripture to Jesus in the desert, and it is a way of getting people’s confidences, but then adds a smear of poison to the ‘sandwich’ i.e. lies. All to gradually lead people astray. Just as he did with Adam and Eve - are we somehow exceptional? By appearing at Medjugorje, attention is also taken away from the ‘real’ and ‘approved’ Marian apparitions, because Medjugorje is still a ‘live visitation’. So, there is a kind of victory for Satan in deceiving people to go there. Although people regardless can receive some consolation if their hearts are in the right place, e.g. via the Catholic Church. Scripture says: * 1 John 3: 8 “..This was the purpose of the appearing of the Son of God, to undo the work of the devil”. So, Jesus will still attend to the needs of His flock, regardless of the worldly circumstances, as He did when on this earth. You have to compare the unapproved apparitions to the approved ones, in the same way a genuine bank note or painting is compared to the genuine, known, and familiar version, in order to ascertain if it is a forgery. In genuine cases Our Lady makes whatever statements she has over a certain period of time - days, weeks or months - not decades, and then goes. We see this in scripture, statements are kept brief and to the point e.g. the Archangel Gabriel appearing to Our Lady. His statement is brief and Our Lady’s response is brief. Genuine Marian apparitions approved by the Catholic Church tend to have a similarity (as far as I can tell), that Medjugorje doesn’t. Again I am talking here about approved general Marian apparitions (Lourdes, Fatima and Knock etc.), not private revelations given to say religious, such as St. Faustina, where the locutions were of a longer duration. I want to say again, that the visionaries ‘may’ not be bad, but being deceived, or manipulated. Now I have not covered the very many other more serious reasons that are mentioned in the various videos below, based on actual investigations, not just taking the words of the visionaries to be true without first testing them. Remember what Jesus Himself said (above), along with many scriptures. Are you going to go against that advice? You may well not believe the investigations, but if so, then go check them out and prove it all wrong. Otherwise it is a case of the ‘blind leading the blind’, and of ‘many being deceived’. The reason for the deception may perhaps be due to the difficult history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that this left a door open for Satan to manipulate things. E. Michael Jones goes into this, but unfortunately his videos are banned. You may find it and others at the website - culturewars.com/home/ Now briefly to E. Michael Jones - your statements above were not counter-arguments but more accusations of his character (to put it politely). This is a man who had to give up a promising career in a university because he would not support abortion, and then had to forge his own career, often tackling difficult issues that others would not touch. This has cost him dearly including, the loss of an academic career, threats to his life (re: Medjugorje), constant vilification, and lately being banned on social media. He recently recounted a public incident with police involvement, where an African American woman went to jump off a bridge and how he prayed to Our Lady for her, at which point she stepped down (this is a very brief summary). Search at: www.fidelitypress.org/bookstore/ If you are willing to investigate, you will see that he is a strong supporter of the Catholic Church, and constantly promotes it. He has also appeared on a top Jewish KZread show, debating one of the best Jewish scholars who didn’t deny his contention about Jews being involved with revolutionary causes. If you listen carefully to what he says, which he also backs up with research, it is not just an opinion, you can see why he draws his conclusions. This is what gets him into trouble. Vested interests don’t counter-argue, just name call. Quite common nowadays. People prefer to listen to vested interest groups with nice-sounding titles, and the main-stream media, rather than the man himself. A great way to publicly condemn a person without trial. Thus a great disservice is done to him, and the majority of people are deceived. Satan wins. This is his forte - deception. I will say that E. Michael Jones, certainly lacks a comfortable ‘bedside manner’ and I do wish he would be a bit more gentle in his approach. He tends to be straight-talking, which modern sensibilities are not used to. However, I would be willing to at least give him some leeway for having to be a fighter all his adult life against so many vested interest groups who exploit humanity in a myriad ways. At least that is what I’ve discovered so far. However, if you can honestly prove otherwise, I am definitely open to correction. I will leave you with a few links to videos discussing Medjugorje. Please at least give them a fair hearing without just skipping the content, as it is important to at least fairly hear the results of their research. If I have to change my mind, so-be-it! People can find it hard to believe that they could possibly be wrong, especially if going by long-held belief systems. We can become attached to them, even if wrong - a sort of Stockholm Syndrome. I only want the truth no matter where it leads, even if it turns out to be from Fred Flintstone! Also remember I am not denying the wonderful miracles happening in Medjugorje via the Catholic Church. Just the statements purported to come from Our Lady via the visionaries. You could not possibly have had the time to view all the videos in the short time you responded to me. Indeed I have seen the videos you linked to. As I suspect that you didn’t believe me, here is my commentary on them. I said previously that there were two trees and two fruits - the Catholic Church being one of them, the good fruit, and that is where the miracles occurred. I explained this above, but it sounds like you have not maybe understood that, as you can’t discern that Coleen’s testimony falls under the miracles within the Catholic Church, - hence my reference to the good fruit, which I again point you to in my explanation. So, Coleen says a very heartfelt prayer that the Lord or Our Lady often will respond to “let it be done to me according to your word”. So at 37:10 Coleen says Fr. Aniellio (apologies if not spelt correctly), said he was “standing in front of the Blessed Sacrament” and already you can see that the rest of her story flows from the fruit of the Catholic Church, not the visionaries. I also have already seen Fr. Leon’s testimony before, and he talked about a woman clothed in an Orange/Golden light and so on, it is about his personal experiences. Noting to do with the visionaries. This again falls within the notion of the good fruit. I was at pains to point that out, but you have not taken it on board. Likewise with Fr. Michael Lightner - his testimony was his first real prayer of his life “Lord if you really exist I don’t know you. You could be the biggest con that twelve drunk men started 2,000 years ago. I haven’t seen you. I haven’t heard you. I haven’t felt you. You have seven days to prove to me that you exist, otherwise I am going to live my life my way”. That was his prayer. Of course the Lord would answer a prayer from the heart. As scripture says “you will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart”. Again - and again - I say this is the good fruit of the Catholic Church and the mercy of the Lord and Our Lady, who will work anywhere in the world, including Medjugorje - as stated in my previous explanation. Indeed it is Scriptural that the Lord can bring good out of any situation, even a bad one. Likewise with Rita Klaus - who was cured from MS. At 20:55 minutes into the video she says “we got to the Church it was so full” and again it was a Catholic Priest praying with her (24:18 mins) and then “all the priests came” and everyone around her put their arms around her - and she had the most “incredible experience of her life”. Then later (around 32:00) she talks about asking Our Lady - in the US - for healing - and while at a university class felt the healing start. That became a great witness to that class of miracles. Notice, nothing to do with the visionaries, but all with the Lord and Our Lady, who is everywhere - even in Medjugorje. But again as I said above that is not my issue. Re: the video link did Our Lady say all religions are equal before God. I did watch it, and it does not answer the issue at all. If the visionaries are lying, then those who are deceived are only receiving an explanation from the deceivers. But in this particular case it is easier for me to answer, as I stated above I literally SAW the words myself coming from Medjugorje messages, and as stated it was a good while ago. I was not the only one to pick it up, many others saw it too, and it is being dismissed as a ‘misunderstanding’. That is NOT true. I saw the words myself, and you cannot tell me I did not! Period! Bear in mind that if the visionaries were deceiving in the first place then they can just simply give an explanation that the poor priest repeats. It doesn’t mean it is true. Also you talk about one of the visionaries being pushed. I again have SEEN that video, and you are making up an imaginary excuse of something that you had not seen. That is obvious as having seen it, it was obvious that she did pull back from the test. Not a push. Also the excuse she offered afterwards did not mention anyone pushing her (as you make out) but was because she said that the baby Jesus was in danger of falling from Our Lady’s arms. What an incredible story! So, you are completely incorrect here, and it really does point to a deception. Anyone who is not emotionally involved, and willing to take a dispassionate look would see that. Now, before angrily firing off missives, please take the time to consider all that I have sent you. All of it, including all the videos and my explanation. Being angry, and holding on to your views despite at least considering the evidence is only allowing yourself to be deceived. I have done my best to be courteous to you, and in Christian charity have taken the time - a lot of time - to both read your comments, watch your videos and reply to them. Yet you have in all cases responded in a very belligerent tone. Because of this, I will not engage in any more commentary with you, as you seem not to be open to any kind of reasonable or civil debate. I can only hope and pray that the Lord will guide you into the truth. And I think finally that may well be the only point we can surely agree upon. Best wishes.

To be a true apparition, the first and most important fruit is that it must teach the truth, no falsehoods. One of the first messages of Medjugorje was that “All religions are similar before God”. This false dogma alone should be sufficient to warn people that this is not from GOD. Other fruits of a corporeal nature should be considered secondary. Have the gifts of the Holy Spirit increased? No, in fact they have decreased. Although it is up to the Church to render any final judgement, the local Bishops have denied it, therefore be forewarned.

Mary's alleged statement in the October 1981 apparition is often misquoted. Here's what she said (quote): There was a question asked of Our Lady in October 1981 which was: Are all religions the same? Our Lady answered: "Members of all faiths are equal before God. God rules over each faith just like a sovereign over his kingdom. In the world, all religions are not the same because all people have not complied with the commandments of God. They reject and disparage them." Note: "... all religions are not the same...." Quite the opposite of your quote - wouldn't you say? The Vatican's Ruini Commission's report is overwhelmingly positive about Medjugorje - They voted 13-1, recommending approval of the earliest apparitions with ongoing study of subsequent and ongoing events. @G m I agree with you G m. Many times, I've heard this misquote about what Mary said. (All religions are equal.) When in fact, it's obvious she said the opposite. Yet the devil is persistent in spreading lies. Still, in the face of hearing the truth, nobody responds. There are none so blind as they who will not see.

@G m Yes, again I agree with you. I think we are held to a standard that is proportional to the gifts we have been given. Jesus tells the story of the talents.... and a lot is expected from those given a lot. Our God is a merciful God. Quick to forgive. Just asks us to forgive others as we wish to be forgiven. That "Love" is the most important virtue. Love our enemies. We truly enjoy the greatest benefits in the Catholic Church - most notably, the Holy Eucharist! But all the sacraments, saints, mystics, Marian apparitions, miracles, incorrupt bodies, indulgences, etc. are huge gifts to us. So perhaps we're held to a higher standard whereas someone less fortunate is not. God is good.

As far as I have read, there is nothing in the content that is counter to the Catholic Church's teachings. There are many stories of great witness. My mother and sister went there and saw nothing unusual but saw so much faith and reverence. Two friends of mine also visited Medjugorje. They both witnessed the miracle of the sun there. One of them was Greek Orthodox. Afterwards, she was baptized into the Catholic Church. On the day of her baptism in Cambridge MA she saw the miracle of the sun again! One problem I have with Medjugorje, is the lack of obedience on the part of the seers and Rene' Laurentain's admission that some of the seers lied to their Bishop. Also one of the seers now claims that Our Lady is appearing to her in a friends bedroom in Alabama. Strange to say the least.

We had such wonderfull stories of gods healing grom other christians and catholics and indeed my Anglican Mom had a mystical godly experience. Its not uncommon with Anglican and Catholics

Well, I know “former Catholics” now Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses are now living transformed lives...,good spouses, parents, families, etc. As for me, I can make an inexpensive trip to my local Church and spend time with our Lord, read his “Love Letter” (The Bible) to us in which He reveals Himself to me/us....with no secrets....containing within it’s pages Words leading to Salvation. I admire people who spend their thousands of dollars donating to organizations that meet the needs of the poor, their local Parish, support of Seminarians. I’ve known of people who have made 4 or 5 pilgrimages to that place! I would rather save my money and invest it in PROVEN Ministries and Revelations! “Viva Cristo Rey” The One who has ALREADY revealed to His Church what is necessary for salvation and sanctification! 🙏🏾♥️🕊

Seriously, let the fruits be your guide. This holy priest is following the Church in what he is saying. Open your hearts and pray and God will lead you to the truths. If prayer, fasting, confessions, Eucharistic Adoration, daily Mass and conversions are the fruits, then i don’t see anything diabolical about Medjugorje. Thank you Father Mark.

It breaks my heart to see even the elect being deceived, my closest friends among them, but Jesus himself predicted that. It's time to stop wasting time on reading the comments and listen to the sermons of St. John Vianney and St. Alphonsus Liguori instead. God bless you, Fr. Mark, I'll keep you in my prayers.

@@mcsmith7692 My dear unknown friend, because my knowledge is quite limited, I rely on the opinion of more knowledgeable people like Fr Malachi Martin and Fr Nicholas Gruner regarding this matter. I cannot remember exactly, who said that Medjugorje is Lucifer's dress rehearsal before the enthronement of Antichrist, but I believe this is true, because this obsession with Medjugorje looks like mass hypnosis.

@@irisajuzefovica , Do people have an obsession with Fatima as well? Was Antichrist going to work against himself? To make people pray, confess, participate frequently in Holy Mass ... Father Malachi Martin said that in Medjugorje you can not see the feet of Our Lady, but in the picture of the Virgin of Guadalupe you can not see it either. Another exorcist, Father Gabriele Amorth and theologian René Laurentin believed in Medjugorje.

When the 10 secrets are fulfilled his power will be destroyed, evil will be defeated and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart will come.

Fr Mark. The presiding bishop himself condemned the apparition and the Church will only approve an apparition if the presiding bishop approves for a further investigation. The seers and the preist who initiated the apparition both parties pursued monetary gain and the preist left the priesthood. Every other Marrian apparition seer has suffered greatly and was left for obsurity.

Friend, do you remember Saint Joan of Arc? She was put to death by none other than a Bishop!! Many Saints were initially hounded or even executed by the members of the Catholic Church before they were finally exonerated!!! These could all be hurdles for the visionaries to overcome --- and if you think about it, they are enormous hurdles indeed!! What do you know about the private suffering of these visionaries.... do you think it is easy to be at the centre of attention, day after day for more than 35 years? facing crowds of people, many who are genuine seekers of the truth, others curiosity-seekers and still others perhaps who only want to mock and jeer? If they did not genuinely love the Lord and the Virgin Mary, the seers would surely have collapsed from the physical strain of the last 35 years....

The bishop never condemned the apparitions. The Pope himself acknowledges the abundant graces of Medjugorje. The Church does not usually approve an apparition that has not yet ended. Seer Vicka has had brain cancer and underwent several surgeries. The seers went through the bloodiest war in Europe after the Second World War.

My Aunty was one of the first who travelled to Medjugorje. I think the miracle is the number of people and who they were and where they came from. She was a very tough working class family with little to no very great financial security but she decided to go nevertheless.

It wouldve been nice if she wouldve asked and prayed to Our Blessed MOTHER first. Perhaps she did. I hope she did. .. I asked Our Blessed lady, IF ITS TRULY YOU APPEARING IN MEDJUGORIE, INVITE ME AND I WILL COME , BUT A YEAR LATER , I FOUND MYSELF VISITING HER WITH MY WIFE AND SON IN TEPEYAC. OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE. After that, I had no interest in Medjugorie. But I suppose the Truth will be Truth in the End.

@@SmithsnMoz Possibly her local church invited her to make up a group and made it financially reasonably priced for her to go. She was a widow. I took my Mum to see the Pope in Lourdes because she was a life-long church-goer and I was not, so I thought it would be a Mother's day treat for her to go to Ireland and it was, for me as well.

Wait for Church official approval of Medjugorje? I wonder if some people advised the same thing about Fatima and Lourdes.... Gosh, 70,000 people would have missed the Miracle of the Sun on Oct. 13, 1917! And so many cures from the water of Lourdes would not have happened! What a horrible thought!

@@KenPaulsenArchitect I don't recall instances of clerical disobedience at Fatima and Lourdes. Medjugorge is a completely different story. This isn't sufficient to declare medjugorge illegitimate, sure thing, but it figures on the list of all bad fruits we should keep an eye on.

I can testify that it is authentic - I have experienced and witnessed miracles there myself and Blessed Mother herself arranged this trip for me in a most unusual and unexpected way after she led me to a major conversion back to the faith - to all the skeptics out there - instead of condemning it you should go there and see for yourself.

Well, it's bound to happen soon. Taken into consideration that Mirjana won't live to be a 100 sth yo. So we all better be prepared. I've personally been to Medjugorje and all I can say is, there's a sense of profound peace there.

There are lots of reasons to be dubious about Medjugorje.

So many people here profess to know more than the Catholic Church as if they were members of their own private commission on the subject! One should not approve nor condemn these alleged apparitions until the Church does. We do know the following: "A commission on Medjugorje established in 2010 by Pope Benedict XVI and chaired by Cardinal Camillo Ruini voted 13-1 to confirm the supernatural origin of the first seven occurrences of the apparition only." In the meantime, good fruits are indeed occurring, therefore the Church has allowed pilgramages and has not instructed us to believe or to not believe. Be obedient to the Church and follow its lead and hope that soon there will be a final determination.

Totally unrelated...I just read the pastoral appointments...O MY gosh...you are coming to St Mary's!!!! Thrilled!

God is love and Mary is love....love is all that I experienced while I was there. Everybody should go to experience it if you get a chance and I pray that you do.

In Christ we have all...the Church does not live in expectation of a further public revelation...Christ is THE revelation and the fullness of salvation given freely by God's grace through Christ in the power of the Spirit.

I’m so glad people are not heeding the churches opinion on the apparitions and are going there in millions and getting healed spiritually and physically. I have a feeling that the church is going through a big purification for its past sins as well as the present and also for not accepting Medjugorie and GARABANDAL… “Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit his sins will never be forgiven”. Mark 3: 28. These apparitions or messages are coming from the Holy Spirit… I pray for the church every single day… ✝️🙏

The visionaries have million dollar houses and businesses around the place . Also the third secret is copy paste of Garabandal . Also the age when they started receiving visions is kind of odd because visionaries of other apparitions are usually around 10 yrs while they were around 17

I have been to Medzugorje at least 10 times. I remember beeing there for the 1st time and my respected friend said - "When one comes to this place it just can not be denied because one can feel it..".. And it's true the energy of the place is very different and it can be felt directly in the heart. I am highly recommending it!

Good evening Father. I'm Catholic. I strayed father, however, God has always been in my heart. Recently, I feel I'm more present than ever with my relationship with God. I just learned about Medjugorje during lockdown Fr. Very cool. I do respect the Pope but, why can't priests and nuns marry? I don't believe in gender transition until someone is 25 either. Why can't we recognize the LGBT community? Okay. God Bless father. I'm glad you are safe and healthy.

Jesus says that anyone who follows him must deny himself. Also recall what God did to the people in Sodom and Gomorrah. Lastly, one of the children of Fatimah - i believe it was Jacinta - asked Mary which sins offended God the most; Mary replied that it is sins of the flesh that offend Him the most. To pursue a life that deviates from one’s nature, which was preordained and designed by God, the Creator, is to refuse to deny one’s impulses and to choose the will of the flesh over the will of God. I don’t consider myself to be authoritative in the least, but this is how i look at the issue. Peace to you in your journeys ✌️

However, when I see young girls and boys talked into doing porn it’s not sexy in the least. It’s called manipulation. That’s just one view I have. When you give your heart to one person in one’s lifetime I feel you gift yourself the experience and presence of God.
